I am currently in the Half-Blood Prince... the only correlation ive seen so far is good crushing evil and Having the Lion(Grryfindor) eventually defeat the Serpent(Slytherin) Im sure there is more...

I don't ever want to be alone again...
No.
The simple fact is that the author didn't intend it to have a Christian core, so its likely that any correlation between the two are simple coincidence. ...Now that I have found a love that never ends.

No.
I agree, there are certain things that are just ironic things, but I am pretty sure JK Rowling never meant for Harry Potter to have a Christian core. Just because there is a verse in the one of the books and certain Christian ideas... no. She never meant for it to have a Christian core.

If you look hard enough you can find christian correlations in ANYTHING.
Buddism Shintoism Atheism
That doesn't mean it's okay to convert just because it LOOKS like it could be okay.
Did you know that Rat Poison is 99.995% GOOD FOOD? There is very little poison in rat poison. But it's so thoroughly mixed in, the rat doesn't even know he's getting it. I suggest treating anything that doesn't come DIRECTLY from the bible as rat poison (or christian-poison).
And knowing it's bad and doing it anyway is just stupid.
"I believe that as long as you know it's not Godly, it won't affect you spiritually" Yeah. Right. Just like believing that if your christian, God will save you if you jump off a building head first and aim for the concrete. When that happens, gimme a call. *rolls eyes* --- Not believing it can hurt you is just the same.
"I don't believe in hell" That's okay. Doesn't affect God one bit! Your still going there if you don't repent and accept Him into your heart.

How 'bout this one!! "Avoid the very appearance of evil"
.....now tell me. Does Harry Potter look, in any way, evil to you?

I do. I look at everything in that degree. If it looks evil, I pass. If it's not christian, I pass.
I don't understand why others don't do the same...

I agree with how you phrase it in your poll that there is a correlation. As for the author's intentions, I don't think she intended it to be Christian at all. But she does show moral values that Christians believe in. But if you look at her saying that Albus Dumbledore is gay just to get the gay population to buy her books then you can't say she is a strong believer in doing good.
Nonetheless, I like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, ect. Fantasy stories are very fun and, hint hint, they are not real. But anything like the Golden Compass that was written by an athiest to promote children to hate the idea of there being a higher being, then I wouldn't touch it with a 90 and a half foot pole.

But, at first glance, just by looking at the COVER, does that LOOK like it would glorify God? (this is a no brainer. yes or no. there is no other option)

Exactly but you have to look at not from the Author`s intention`s but from God`s

Are you saying that Catholics aren't Christians? And if you aren't - what was the point of that argument?
