 A modifox couple silently padded through the thick forest together, walking side-by-side. They had a rather solemn look about them, but this had been the norm for the two for quite a while now. "Do you really think that it is finally safe to return?" questioned the female, the jewelery in her ears clicking together a little as she looked up at her mate. "What if more hunters come after us again?""Then, we'll simply have to turn the hunt back on them again," the golden male replied, ears flicking in irritation. "They've robbed us of enough as it is. I refuse to let those creatures run our lives any longer."Kuyamu looked down at the ground bitterly and laid her ears flat against her head. "Kakeashi," she questioned, "do you think that the BCRs have survived? Even after we had to leave them as we did?""I, can't really say," he replied with a sigh. "I certainly hope so. I could never forgive myself if something happened to the three of them..."

Enzo turned to his sister, thoughtfully. "Did you hear something, Ezra?" He asked. His ears perked up of their own accord. "There are other foxes near."
"Really?" Ezra said, tilting her head to the side slightly. She sniffed around a bit and, sure enough, she caught the scent of two foxes. "We should go find them!" Ezra took off without her bothering to wait for her brother.
Enzo shook his head at his sister and followed after her. He ran after her, but they didn't need to go very far as the two foxes where close by.

The couple lifted up their heads and their ears perked up when they heard the approach of two other modifoxes. "Seems that we have company," Kakeashi mused aloud. Kuyamu nodded in agreement.
"Konnichi wa," the vixen greeted with a kind smile when the two approached. "We didn't think that we'd run into anyone else this deep into the forest. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Enzo just nodded in reply, allowing Ezra to reply for the both of them. He did examine the couple, though. They seemed nice, of course, but first appearences can be decieving. They also seemed very close. Probably mates.
Ezra smiled back politely, tilting her head to the side a bit. "Hello, it's nice to meet you as well," she replied. "Foxes are practically everywhere these days, though," she said.

"I guess so," Kakeashi replied with a small smile. "My name is Kakeashi, and this is my mate, Kuyamu." The vixen gave a nod of agreement with his words. "Might we know your names?"

"Of course," was the reply. "My name is Ezra, and this is my brother, Enzo. Do you two have any children?" Ezra asked, curiously. She knew quite a few foxes with kits.

This question seemed to have struck a bad chord with the two, for they both looked away uneasily. "Well, yes," Kuyamu admitted. "But, we don't know where they are or if they are even ok."Kakeashi nuzzled his mate comfortingly, for as a mother she had always taken their situation the hardest. "Do you think you've met them? I don't think they'd look all too different from us, but I'm sure that they have these eyes." He was referring of course to his and his mate's Sharingan, which wasn't exactly a very common trait among modifoxes.

Ezra thought for a bit, but sadly she couldn't think of a time where she met foxes that look like the two before her. "I'm afraid I don't think I've met any of your children, I'm sorry." Ezra glanced at her brother who just shook his head. "We'll be sure to keep a lookout for them, though. Do you at least know what they look like?"

"Well, I know this much: One's black, purple, and red; another one is golden like my husband; and the last one is just black and red," Kuyamu replied, remembering the coloring of their BCRs.

"Okay," Ezra said, committing it to memory for future reference. "If you don't mind my asking," Ezra started shyly, "what happened to split you and your children up?"

"Well, it's kind of a long story..." Kuyamu replied.
"To sum it up, we've been being chased by hunters for a while now. In an attempt to protect our BCRs, we had to hide them and leave. Both times."

"Oh," was all Ezracould think of to say. To think what could have happened to those BCRs... "How long ago was this?" She asked.

"Nearly a year ago," Kuyamu replied. "But, let us not stay on this subject. I believe that there is a nice lake somewhere in this area. Do you wish to search for it?"

 There was a single kit laying under a tree nearby a small lake. She seemed very relaxed and her eyes were closed lightly. She was awake, just deep in thought as she took in the sounds around her. It was a nice day, Winter was almost over and you could almost feel the Spring in the air. This put a smile on her face and her tail flicked up and down lightly behind her.
"I could just lay out here all day..." She thought to herself, not wanting to speak out loud. She knew that was what crazy foxes did. She giggled lightly at her joke and rolled over so she was lying on her back.

"Oh, of course," Ezra replied, knowing Enzo would follow either way.
Enzo followed behind hiss sister as they headed toward the scent of fresh water. He was now staring att heir surroundings. It was somewhat surprising that they hadn't met more foxes in a place like this.
