Caprice knew she shouldn't have done this, but her curiousity had gotten the better of her. Afterall, she told herself, she'd been after from the ocean before and nothing had happened. Some days she even slept away from the ocean. But this was completely different. This time, Caprice decided to go for a lesurely walk through the forest near her ocean. Her need to be near water at all time had always prevented her from exploring even the land she lived by. Soon, Caprice became so absorbed in the sights of the forest that she forgot to stop and check how far away from the ocean she was getting.
After what seemed like an endless walk, Caprice finally stopped. Turning around in every direction, she tried to make out the direction she had come in. But it was no use; she was lost!
After realizing this, Caprice felt a shudden panic rise up from inside of her. She was drying up, and fast! The water from a river would work until she returned to her ocean, but Caprice had no idea how she would find one.
What have I done?
