House icons: Write a blarney statement (funny, descriptive) for any of the houses.

Write your own House name on your post like so:

You can just list them with the name of the House, such as
Ravenclaw: I speak Braille

You can do just your own house, or any or all of the houses, but your entries for prizes will be just for your own or mixed canon houses. If you are a Hufflepuff, for example and you find a great Gryffindor saying, you can PM it to a Gryffindor, or post it. The first Gryffindor who sees it can claim it and post it as their own entry.

Prizes will be given to the best 2 of each house.
-Funniest one of each house
- most moving or stirring one of each house

(Houses vote) on the entries for each house and the 8 winners (two from each house) each advance to a random draw for 20 house points!

Prizes will also be given for:

No, you don't have to make icons. We're judging the saying, not the layout, and we can put the winners on a blank icon for all to see. So just typing the sentence is fine! Having judged past contests, and been around all types of shows, a saying MIGHT stand out more if it's laid out on a House background, in House colors...so do what feels best.

It's fine to post more than one saying in the same post, but post them vertically, like turayza did, not together as a quilt, like I did in the first thread.

Basically we are going to pick the best two sayings for each house. Again, it's not the graphic, it's the saying, although a great graphic is a pleasure to see. The submitters of those will win a prize, and advance to the drawing for the House points.

Hmm, I can see what's confusing. Your questions help me refine the rules.
I'll go back and repost the rules as I just got a flash of inspiration.
Let's have people just post canon sayings from their own house, and anyone can post mixed non-canon ("Gryffinclaw", Slytherpuff, etc). If you find a super Slytherin saying for example and you are a Ravenclaw, you can gift it to a member of Slytherin, or post it, and the first one of that house to see it can post it as their own entry for their house.

So Ravenclaws can post any house saying they like, only their Ravenclaw and mixed houses sayings will be eligible for prizes for them.

And you can make up your own statements as well!

I'm gonna remove the idea of a "sets" from this contest. If you find a cool set, you can post it in the Puzzle for the House icons thread in the main forum and win House Points. Though you to post the cool saying for your house here as an entry, and THEN post the full set in the House set for House points, so it's "postmarked "after the contest is over.
And Night of A Thousand Stars, your icon works in the funniest category...but I appreciate the just kidding anyway.
