Its a honda Fit and she so cute and all... we got a great 5% rate with 8 year service plan... making it 281 a month.. witch is really good for us.. the insureance witch had to be full coverage was only an extra 18 dollors.. we were already paying 84 a month now its like 102. it has insane gas miliage.. 34-40 mpg for a typical drive... we ususaly get 40 out of my husbands honda already. and FITs are really rally hard to find now.. apernetly there really popular.

Congrats! My husband almost got a Fit but it was a long wait at the time. He got a preowned Civi instead.

Our first major purchase together? I guess we can count his car, but it's all on his name, he chose it, and I don't drive it. And the laptop we just got is all mine. I think buying a house (hopefully) this year is going to be our first major purchase that we both are going to be involved with.

I think that would be our computer. Most of our apartment is furnished with cheap stuff, and my mother bought us our bed as a wedding present. Its worth a lot, but we gout it for $450.00 It was a total steal! The people we got it from used it for less then a month and paid $1,300.00 for it! They needed a bigger bed but couldn’t exchange it because the box spring has a tiny tear in the fabric on the bottom. Yay for us!

But yeah, computer. Paid $1,200.00 after getting the comp, monitor, warranty, and any other things we needed. But we needed it. All we had was my dinky old laptop that we fought over using!

I think our second biggest purchase was our dog. We didn’t actually buy her, she found us as a stray, but after spaying, the physical and medical test to make sure she was in good heath, it cost quite a bit! Not to mention she needs grooming every two months! But it’s worth it to us to make sure she is in the best condition she can be. After all (as was concluded from her behavior) her previous owners abused and neglected her!

Our first "together" purchase would probably be our washer and dryer. Or maybe our new living room furniture that we just bought.

Our first big together item was a used car - 3 thousand dollars. The biggest thing has been this farm. We'll be paying on it for another 28 years and some odd months! But it was worth it!

Well... we aren't married yet so there haven't been any really large purchases together. The biggest was defiantly the game Rock Band, he paid for most of it, but I pitched in too. I still like guitar hero better though! biggrin

major purchase? um we spent $100 on four roman style shades that cover our corner bay windows and the gelouses that are next to them. They use to be covered by old white dusty drapes that wouldn't even slide, I had to gather them to the sides..... but we tore tat all out, stupid allergy harborer

I don't know if it counts as a purchase, but probably our flat, at £500 a month (which is ridiculousl expensive for a 1-bedroom in Preston, but it's in a relatively nice area).

Although we are planning on getting our first car together in a few months time.

Our first large purchase was a mattress and box springs... since we had been using a full size bed for over a year.. and my husband is 6' 4" .....we were so happy to buy a queen sized bed..

We have only been married 3 weeks, so no huge purchases as of yet. However while we were engaged we managed to drop over $1000 on Orchids, fungicides, humidifiers, fertilizer and grow lights. Everyone thought we were doing something illegal, but we really just had a passion for finicky exotic plants.
Then we spent a few hundred on coffee accessories. It all started with the french press. After we got that we had to have a burr grinder, then some fancy storage containers, then un roasted beans and a stove top roaster, and THEN an out of production Turkish hand grinder. After all that the coup de grace was our Behmor drum roaster with smoke reduction technology.
I think our first big married purchase will be our apartment in India, followed by furnishings.

That would probably be our couches. That and the rings, but they cost about the same.

I'd love to get those kinds of things for coffee! And man, I could use some Turkish coffee right now. 3nodding

Just before we got married we got a queen-sized bed for our apartment. Before that we had been sleeping on a huge pile of blankets and sleeping bags that we rolling into a twin size for company to preserve the illusion of two separate beds (there was a twin bed in the other room).

We just recently bought a new king-sized bed and 8 person dining room set. >>;;; For under 1100 for everything. biggrin I love it when businesses go out of business. BWHAHAHAHAA.

The bed was regularly 1400, selling for 700. Brand new. Delivered in plastic. And the table usually goes for 450, got it for 150. And each chair was originally priced at 159, sold to us for 30 bucks a piece! BWHAHAHAHHAAAA.

SO! In toto: 1 Bed: 700, table: 150, and 8 chairs: 240 = 1090 dollars! biggrin Woohoo! And the table and chairs were all from Pier 1 Imports! It's gonna last for years. It's not some crap table. It's thick, it's sexy, it's sturdy. :3

It's so great. We've only been married for 7 months and never thought we'd ever have anything like this. The only things we would like now is a coffee table and a TV stand. xD But that's it!
