he has been committed to a pysch hospital. my family has tried talking to him and although he says he wants to come home, he is still taking their sleeping pills and he talks as if its safer for him to stay there.
I am worried about him because I worked as an emt and my study is medicine. I know that sleeping pills are addictive and I've never met someone who was committed who got out and stayed out. those facilies tend to make ppl worse off.
I know God is totally able to come through. but I fear my brother may be fighting the will of the Lord, in which case we know that we often bury ourselves in our mistakes when we wander from God's truth.
my bro says the pills help him sleep and the place is nice... but only God can cure our illnesses and provide a lasting peace. my brother reminds me of the woman at the well right now, every day she had to go and fetch water. but JC said drink from my well and you will never thirst again. I am praying that my brother will remember that God is the only one who can satisfy our hearts.

I'll pray for him.
Sleeping problems are often associated with mental problems. If he can solve those problems he won't need the pills. Talk to him as often as you can, and try to help him on the road to recovery. PM me if you want to talk about it more, I'm taking psychology, have a counselor's personality, and have a pretty good control over my mind, so I may be able to help a little.
