Anyone who has been active within the ATLA fandom will probably have noticed the heavy amount of slash pairings and ridiculous communities that have popped up dedicated to general ATLA lulz. One such community is located on LiveJournal called Capslock ATLA. Now normally fans have stuck to just being nonsensical about the characters but now they have expanded their slander to include the Avastaff. Poor Sifu Kisu was recently the target of these people for the Dragon Dance he choreographed which to the capslockers was the Uber gay dance of gayness. I really think that people have gone to far this time and that the Avastaff deserves more respect than this.

Well, in the first place I really hate people who use "gay" as a derogatory term. So strike one for them.

I think that all the dances' are nicely choreographed smile , it's like how the animators took kung fu classes to understand the movement of fighting.
I think drawing separate steps in dances is amazing, they had to slow the Dragon Dance down too while they were stepping on the stones biggrin .
But anyway, if there was anyone around like that, there wouldn't be any way that I would want to talk to them. And I'm glad that you pointed them out (even though I don't have a Livejournel account xd ).
Those guys would have no idea how the animation process works, or how hard it is to write something and put you ideas through to screen.
All is best is just to ignore abysmally ignorant people razz .

Bah, if they just called it gay, it's no big deal. They didn't say it to his face, and a grown man who can probably kill them with his fingers can take a little bit of name calling.
That said, I dislike Capslock ATLA. At least capslock Death note gives me Near goodness : D

That's not what happened at all. Keep in mind throughout this entire explanation the word "gay" is referring to the term "homosexual" and not "lame." Alrighty, pumpkins. We mean it literally.

Sifu Kisu was googling his name like all good 50 year old men should do on a daily basis and stumbled across it, which of course lead to this wanky MySpace post. Notice the failure on the grammar front. He immediately took it down after we noticed it, adding to the suspicion and the LULZ.
Part of the thing we found funny was how quick he was to deny the amount of work they put into it. "SRSLY GAIS, WE ONLY SPENT 15 MINUTES, I SWEAR!"
Read the comments on both the links posted and anything relating to Kisu in the community. We don't mean him any disrespect.
If you still don't believe us, I have a post I can show you that explains about what capslock really is. I'll gladly find it for you if you guys are still all offended, but I'm too lazy to dig it up right now.

I also laughed my a** off at the Naruto comment. Since when has Naruto been anything resembling intellectual and deep?

Um, actually, looking up your name on google is often recommended, especially if you're looking for a job. If there's stuff about you online that can give you a bad rep (especially if you have an uncommon name), you can kiss a lot of jobs goodbye. So, no. That's not self-importance.
My name is fairly common, so luckily I never have to worry about that.
