I'm just curious as to how many people have drum crops experience on here. wink If you don't have any, then where would you march?
My corps experiance:
2003 Esperanza
2004 Blue Devils/Blue Devils B
2007 Music City Legend
I plan on going back and going Music City Legend again for the '08 season. I'm a mellophone player, by the way.

I'm in the pit and mostly play marimba.
I'm actually a flute player of 7 years, but am going to college for percussion.
I are be a junior in high school!
I love Corps and plan to do it as much as I can until I age out....
and that might even be longer than I expected thanks to Mr. George I-must-change-everything-about-drum-corps Hopkins

My heart stays with the Madison Scouts.
Hey, I'm a girl and I play a woodwind instrument, but damn, if only I was born a guy and played a brass instrument.

I'm really jealous though, I would do anything to learn how to play any brass instrument in like a year in order to participate in a drum corp. The Crossmen would be the one to join for me since I live in Texas

The Crossmen would be the one to join for me since I live in TexasI love Crossmen. I would join Crossmen if I lived there...well, to be honest, the only corps I wouldn't join would be Pioneer...

Ummm not really. In '06 the real rivals were Academy....and last year it was Fever and Memphis Sound...I can't wait to see what this year is going to bring! biggrin

Wow...nice. See? This is why I loved Div II/III (now Open Class)...things were always fresh and you never knew who was going to be on top. It's a whole lot more competitive than World Class.

Wow...nice. See? This is why I loved Div II/III (now Open Class)...things were always fresh and you never knew who was going to be on top. It's a whole lot more competitive than World Class. Yeah, I guess so! Impulse were Div III champs in '06 and we placed 4th in Div II....but they got 12th this year and we got 11th, both of us barely making finals!
(that's what we get for practically being a brand new corps, though!)
But soon we're hopefully going to move up to World Class.... (in the next few years or so)
Cascades is probably going to fold this season....
So we're going to have to replace them as the only Northwest Div I corps...
(they're only doing a northwest tour and charging $500 for the entire season)

Holy crap! That's kinda sad...I seriously hope that they don't go under...I actually really like Cascades! I think their best corse would actually just drop down to a Open Class corps and just stay afloat...
Man, there just aren't anywhere NEAR as many corps now as there were when I marched.

I wish I could say I liked Cascades...but the staff there now was the Oregon Crusaders staff back in '06. And the ENTIRE staff (and majority of the '06 corps) left the corps to fend for its own to go to Cascades. Now everyone is coming back to OC....and I wish they could stay afloat, but since people are just leaving its a problem sad If they had members I'm sure they'd just go to Open, but a lot of the staff is coming back to OC too..... : its becoming quite the issue up here in the Northwest.

Well...it's still alive, for now. I guess as long as there are people who are out there to enjoy it, it'll still exsist. And I'll keep marching until I can't walk anymore blaugh
In any case, if you could march any corps, who would you join?
