 For the brave few who read on despite the red warning text.
D.Gray-Man is a shonen manga by Katsura Hoshino. First being serialised in Shonen Jump in 2004, it went on to spawn an Anime Series in 2006 which has yet to be realeased in the USA. It is often described as a Gothic manga.
The story is, for the most part, centred around Allen Walker, a young, British exorcist and a member of the Black Order; an organisation whose mission is to prevent the Millenium Earl from eliminating life on Earth.
Exorcists are set apart by their ability to control and use Innocence, a mysterious substance used to combat the Earl in the past. There are 109 pieces of Innocence, and it is a race against time between the Order and the Earl to collect them before the other does.

OKAY, so I've had this question for a while... how come some of the exorsists like Kanda and Lavi, even though they get hit by Akuma, don't get that poison-y stuff, while everyone else does? D:
I mean, I'm thankful they don't, but still.. ( >.> )

I've wondered about that myself, actually. Especially after re-reading the first volume and reading Allen's little explanation, though right now I can't remember if he said it was because of him being an exorcist or the fact that he's a parasite type... or maybe the curse?
But yeah. I don't think Kanda or Lavi should be able to... since they shouldn't really have anything to reject the Akuma's virus.
I think it's a loophole... because I can't think of anything that would go, other than the fact they're exorcists .___.; Maybe it goes for everyone who's innocence-compatible?

*suddenly gets an image of Kanda sticking Mugen through his body to purify himself* ( >.> )
... I gotta stop thinking so hard....
I donno. My thought at first was that maybe some Akuma don't carry the virus (or they loose it after leveling up), but then those Finders got the virus in a recent chapter... so I guess not. ( >.> )
But... maybe they (the Akuma) have to do something in particular to release the virus as they grow?
Because, thinking about it, that old guy... um... his name escapes me at the moment. But the guy who had the doll. He was hit by an Akuma, and he didn't get the virus, either (And we know he didn't have any sort of innocence). So, um, yeah... BD

Moomoo. When Allen jumped down in the recent chapter with his mask thing. Am I the only one who thought 'OMG BATMAN PARADOX?'
