White paws padded lightly upon the grasses as a brown tail swayed back and forth with every step. A grin decorated the features of nearly full grown Tizona. Brown ears flickered with every noise as golden yellow eyes surveyed the area around her looking for her favorite tree. Upon spotting it she happily trotted over just before she arched her back and lunged at the branch closest to the ground. Her larger size helped her grasp onto the rough bark with the first try. From that point all she needed to do was to pull herself up onto the branch which only took her less than a minute. Finding her footing carefully, as to not fall like she did when she was younger she slowly edged out to the thinner parts of the tree's branch. Once she found a comfortable spot she tilted her head back admiring the stars that twinkled across the sky before slowly closing her eyes.

Once her eyes were fully closed she inhaled deeply letting her mind seperate from her body in a sense, letting the wind consume her form carrying her away everything. It was just like she could fly. Fly without wings, something that she absolutely enjoyed although she did want to try and fly for real once. "The wind can take you away without wings..." She mumbled to herself still pretending as though she was flying.

Kol wasn’t in a good mood, in fact, he was crushed and left to rot in the back of his mind. His lover, his friend, the one female that showed him any sings of care had disappeared without a trace and Kol, well, he was just stunned. He couldn’t believe it. He was walking along, minding his own worries when he stopped and gazed up at a large tree.

A slight frown passed his muzzle as he cocked his head and spoke out.

“Hello?”

Unaware of the female above.

Broken from her little trance Tizona opened her eyes tilting her head, not thinking to look down for the source of the voice. "Hello!" She chirped beaming before a light frown settled upon her lips seeing no one before her. It was at that time she realized that she was still in the tree. Letting a soft giggle escape her maw she settled her body close to the branch peering over the side to see the dark male below her. "Hello!" She called again just as cheerfully wondering if he knew that she was above him in the tree. After contemplating the thought she stood up before leaping down to the ground making sure to not land upon the male before turning to face him the same smile upon her face.

"Did you come out here to 'fly' too?" She inquired tiliting her head.

He stopped and frowned slightly. She was very odd, he always seemed to run into the strangest of people. His ears twitched as he ruffled his mane, gazing at her before speaking.

“Mm, no. I don’t think I came out here to… fly. Sorry.”

She must have been crazy!

"Oh..." Tizona replied a light pout forming for a brief minute before disappearing. "Well then why are you out so late?" She asked not stopping to think if her questions were rude or not. "Oh, well if you don't mind me asking...See I don't really see many people out at night..." She explained as though trying to justfy her question when she would have asked regardless if she had thought it over."Oh! I'm Tizona, what's your name?" Again with the questions and the odd bubbliness despite the late hour it undoubtedly was. Although Tizona was a strange female she had good qualities too. Maybe the male would learn about them.

“I was trying to get away from my worry, it, it seemed to have followed me out here.”

Kol spoke out with a light nod, gazing away from her with cold eyes. He wasn’t like her. He couldn’t be happy. His blue eyes narrowed as he sighed and added.

“My name is Kol.”

He paused and gazed at her. He didn’t know what to say…

Furrowing her brow she frowned. "Worries? That doesn't sound good. Maybe talking about them will help get your mind off of them?" She suggested bitting down softly upon her bottom lip for a short time. She didn't like it when others were sad, it made her sad regardless of whether of not she actually knew them. After all to her a stranger was just a friend you hadn't made yet. Now the young female was determined to cheer this older male up if it was the last thing she did. Then she could proudly say that she really did make a difference in someone's life. Even if they wanted her help or not. She was going to help him. Nothing was going to stop her.

“it’s just things that are hard to really talk about, you know?”

he gazed at her for a moment and sat down.

“its nice that you care so much, but I feel like you wasting your time on me would be a shame. My worries are not worth your time. Really..”

Tizona nodded understanding only part of what he was saying. She had personally never had anything that was difficult for her to talk about, unless it was with her parents. Even then however was never a real problem for her. Her friends however had some difficult times speaking to her about things that bothered them so she understood. Partially at least. "Yeah, I suppose that I do know but even if it's hard sometimes it's worth it?" She shrugged also settling back onto her haunches. Crinkling her nose she thought about his words before shaking her head. "I don't see it that way, everyone is important and worth my time to me," she told him with a happy nod. "After all everyone is a potential friend and it's best to get to know your potential friend while you have the chance. Besides if I can help cheer you up then it's definitely worth the time to me." She said happily.

He had never seen anyone like her before. She was… so kind to him, and for no real reason, other then to be kind. He… he couldn’t understand it. This was all so strange. His gray mane ruffled as he sighed and nodded, smiling weakly at her. The red markings along his legs shifted as he relaxed and spoke out.

“I lost my mate not too long ago. She left me, you see. I wasn’t good enough for her, I guess.”

He paused.

“It’s just been hard to get along and understand why she left when she did...”

Although his words were few she understood all of them. It was a rather sad worry, to be left by ones mate. Having never been in love or mated to anyone the female could not relate but still tried to. It couldn't hurt after all. "Really? I'm sorry Kol. Although I am an outsider I would like to say that it probably was not because you weren't good enough..." Her voice trailed off as she struggled to find the right way to phrase what she wanted to say to him. "Maybe she felt she wasn't right for you? I can't really say though...since I don't really know about your mate but..." She swallowed letting a soft sigh escape her maw. She just wasn't saying things the right way. "Well...since I'm not exactly making much sense I'll try again." She told him sticking her tongue out playfully before trying again. "Maybe your mate just needed some time to herself, to go out and think about life, alone? I suppose everyone has those times where they feel they have to do things alone..."

Falling silent for a few minutes she spoke again. "Maybe it'd be easier to get along if you have a friend or companion by your side to keep your mind off of things?

He stood still and frowned to himself, unsure of a lot of things, unsure of himself. His eyes narrowed as he smiled at her slightly and sat himself back slowly. She was just trying to comfort him, he understood, but it was hard for him to feel anything right now.

“If you wanted to stay, I wouldn’t stop you.”

He smiled slightly again, as If telling her without saying it; “I would like you there.”

Her smile grew brighter with his words. "I'd be happy to stay with you Kol, especially since you're my friend." She told him puffing her chest out happily before playfully sticking her tongue out at him. "Whether you want me to or not." She told him jokingly not sure if he considered her a friend as she did him. It didn't really matter to the brown female, she wanted to at least stay and chat.

"Besides losing your mate is there anything else you wanna talk about? I'm all ears, you can ask me lots of questions too." Tizona hurriedly adding not wanting to seem like she was prying too much. She was a little but she couldn't help it. She wanted to cheer him up. "Or we can talk about nonsense, what ever fits best for you." She suggested with a soft ring of laughter.

He smiled at her slightly and laughed at her words. She was a very odd female, but, he liked it. With a soft grin he thought for a moment before speaking out.

“Do you have any family in the area?”

He thought asking her something about herself would make him seem less depressed.

Tizona had expected to be asked a question like the one he asked and a fit of giggles slipped from her white maw. "I do, I have lots and lots. I have six siblings, two sisters and two brothers, a lot of cousins from my daddy's side and lots of uncles and aunts from daddy's side that it's hard to keep track!" She exclaimed moving her tail back and forth on the ground. "I don't know much about my momma's side though." She commented spacing slightly tilting her head in the process.

Blinking she shook her head bringing herself back to reality. "It was hard, being in such a large family, but at the same time it was easy and...perfect." She murmured her tone growing a bit quieter as she spoke. "I was always able to get away whenever I wanted and go exploring, though I was usually chasing after a butterfly or a bird with the intent of wanting to play but I always scared them off." She chuckled slowly spacing again. "I would hide in the grass stalking whatever I could see moving then I'd pounce. It was how I made most of my friends, taking them by surprise and jumping on them!" She chimed back to the cheerful bouncy female she was before.

Kol laughed and smiled, gasping at the number of siblings she had. It was a crazy number! His eyes narrowed as he moved himself to stand, gazing at her with softer eyes. He didn’t seem so upset anymore.

“Hey, want to come with me? I’m going to go for a hunt, I’d like it if you could join?”

Tizona was happy, not that she wasn't before but now she was even happier. Kol, her new friend, was happy or at least getting to be happy, more relaxed at least, he didn't seem as sad or depressed anymore which thrilled her. The female had glanced away up at the sky for a moment when his voice startled her, surprisingly, and captured her attention again.

Immediately she nodded sliding from a sitting position to standing in a mere matter of seconds. "I would love to!" She chirped white paws lightly padding across the grass to close the distance between them so she could walk beside him. "Lead the way!"
