http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=4976251809&sid=1So I logged in at 2pm server time and I saw someone say "we should stand on the portals!" By 1:30 am server time they were still there. GM's finally stepped in at about this time and are banning people for standing on them.
I hate alliance. We have a raid in Ironforge and they tried to raid Orgrimmar but they got smoked. We win!

Captain Muffdiver The threads been deleted, quick summary of what happend in the thread please? Horde in Sargares all crowding around the alliance portals in Shatt. Eventually GMs turned up and started silencing and freezing and even banning a lot of people for 3 hours even though it was 3 in the morning and they couldn't have cared less. They were all on their mounts, some had their umbrellas out, many had alts there, all crowding around the portals. On all the SSs I saw I counted at least 3 GMs trying to restore order. Someone had an SS up of a single alliance on his talbuk standing in front of one of the horde portals. I actually read all the pages and there were a few screenies from another realm where some horde were doing the same thing but I don't know if they got the same punishment. All in all, an odd way to protest AV but whatever.. still funny. lol

if someone has blocked the AV bg master as well as the portals, it might have made a little sense.

I don't understand how standing on alliance portals somehow connects to protesting pvp boycott. Standing on portals doesnt really work anyways since you can zoom in your camera to first person and step inside whoever is standing on a portal to click on it. Or, you know, go through the gate.

Standing on portals doesnt really work anyways since you can zoom in your camera to first person and step inside whoever is standing on a portal to click on it. Or, you know, go through the gate. I guess not everyone goes to BG, where as everyone has to use the Portal for getting to major cities etc for the Auction House and / or class trainers and stuff.

Its not going to make anyone BG anyways...
Im in Shadowburn and I went to an AV the other day... I usually don't pvp at all but it was the daily so I tried it out. I was the only alliance on the top half of the scoreboard. Not cause I am good or something but because alliance don't even try. In raid chat they were all yelling 'just die it will be over faster' -_- And that is why I don't pvp. Only a few people are calling it a boycott... every other alliance I know doesnt pvp because we have the most thick headed players on the planet.

There also happens to be a slew of battlemasters in the Lower City.

Haha yeah we heard about that in lightninghoof, and we did the same thing lol, and once again same thing happend GM´s start comming and baning people, but meh its was only like 10 min, it was a hell of fun seeing the allies spiting on us and making rude gestures at us lmao.
And yeah i hate allies too!!!!!!!!

It's not silly when the bg that gives the most honor takes 2 hours to get into cause some idiot faction is boycotting it cause they can't win every single match. I'm so sorry always winning eots and ab isn't good enough for you!

it is silly because like I said before, most people are not boycotting it, they just dont play because there is a huge lack of teamwork and people pretty much afk by running around but not attacking or defending anything. I don't care if I win or lose a match but it is definately frustrating to go into one and immediately have people spamming raid with 'don't try just die quickly' and people running around like chickens with their head cut off.
I dont know why you think you are better than me simply because you decided to choose the opposite faction, I was just trying to shed some light as to why alliance has withered out in pvp, from my server anyways.
