I can kickflip pretty well, but i usually catch the board right about at the ground, and im not good *at all* with moveing and fakie kickflips. I can get the board to spin for a heel flip but i can never either get the board to spin fast enough, or get my feet over the board in time, help if u can plz. I know i could do it myself, but its probably come easier with advice. i want to catch the board higher for kickflips, be more consistent with moveing/fakie kickflips and land a heelflip (even if its super sketchy ill take it!)

*lol*i love irony*lol* after i posted this thread i turned off my computer, and went skateing in my front yard. i landed a heelflip, no gaia user advice. it only took me like 5 min of skateing practice, till i landed it!(still alot of room for improvement though). I still want advice on heelflips and kickflips though...so advice would be greatly appreciatted, always trying to better my skateing.

I still kinda have a little trouble with my kickflips, I usually land them in a tailstop. When it comes to heelflips however, I got them down pat. One thing i can tell you about them though, it can make them easier if you look at you board length-ways, thinking of them as making your board do a frontflip or a backflip. It may sound freaky, but it helped me get the flick right without thinking about it.

Kickflips:
Kickflips are basically a variation of the Ollie. that's how I got them down locked. my saying is "if you can Ollie it, you can Kickflip it". there are 3 styles of Kickflip i do just to keep my kickflips strong and constant. Kickflip as you Ollie, Kickflip after the Ollie(get air then flick), and then late flips.

Moving Kickflips are all about commitment. If you got a solid Ollie and a solid slow moving or stationary Kickflip you're good to go on the moving Kickflips. It's just gonna take practice and commitment (i love that word COM-MIT-MENT!) maybe tinker around with your front foot. try different positions and figure out what works for you. Don't sweat it cause you already can do it keep that in mind.

Heelflips:
Heelflips usually takes longer to learn or it is learned (bad grammar) after the Kickflip. I've seen 3 main styles of people doing this trick, so I'll talk about that. The first one is the most generic one I see and that is you hang your foot a bit off the board either on the hardware or about it and when you Ollie tilt your ankle and roll the board off your heel as you kick your foot forward. The other way is that you hang your foot off the side where the hardware is and you don't tilt your ankle and kick forward using either the bottom or the edge of the heel. The last style is awkward and I can't do it, but you basically don't have your foot overhanging. Have your back foot's toes to the edge where your heel would be. Then as you Ollie the board should start tilting back like a Kickflip then you roll the board off the heel as you kick forward.

Commitment + Practice = Success. Don't jump forward when you Heelflip or lean to your front side or the board will be behind you when you Heelflip. Get a good straight Ollie and work out the control of the Heelflip either be being more gentle with the flipping process off the heel or tinker around with how you do it. try foot positioning and you'll be landing it before you know it.
