I finally got my first lolita dress. I ordered it about two months ago and it came in this monday. THANK YOU FANPLUSFRIEND! I love it. I should have ordered a steel pannier though. It's not fluffy enough. The only problem is I can't wear steel panniers to school. xP Could you imagine trying to slide into a desk in one?lol

Lolita doesn't require a steel pannier. In fact, it's shape is generally going to be all wrong anyway. ^^;
To make a very simple petticoat to wear under your skirt for the time being, buy some tulle and sew it into a rectangular tube. At the top, sew an inch-wide channel and leave part open so you can slide Elastic into it to fit your waist. The elastic will gather up, and ta da! Instant petticoat.
You can also buy one from In the Starlight, since they made long-lasting, easy to care for petticoats for lolita.

i second the petticoat. I think fan+friend sells them, but I'm not sure. And if you will be in a windy area, remember the bloomers!
