With this boom of Sentinels arriving things were getting scarce. Sure there were plenty of berries and nuts, but one couldn't live off of them unless one was Egratz, the mus. So, the pair had to go far from the territory and hopefully not into someone else's.
"Its like you're trying to spite me, Egratz," Olohan said as he landed roughly, "You're just packing it on so that its harder for me to carry you."
The mus merely smiled crypticaly. "I be big-big for you."
"To eat?" He replied, to which he added hastily when he saw the shocked and watery look of his mus's face, "Not that I would ever do that." "No no no!" Egratz squeaked loudly, "I get big food for Olo-olo!" The Sentinel sighed and shook his head. If he could smile, he would, but his eyes at least crinkled into sparking hapiness and admiration. That mus sometimes had it together.

Indeed food was a little rarer than usual as of late, and that was exactly why Cloverfield was worried. Well, part of why she was worried. The other part came from her waking up to hear from Sharp that Flat had decided he'd seen some 'tasty-tasty berries' and taken nearly half her flock to find them. True, they were each dyed with her keeper-mark, a blatant show that these were not only pets, but the products of a keeper, essentially someone's livelihood.
Unfortunately, Clover knew herself what she'd do if she was starving and found a gathering of parus, marked or not. It would figure that she had just gotten an order too, and that the companions the new customer had been eying were some of those that had flown off. Well she'd just hope she could find them soon. Before anyone hungrier than herself did.

What ho! Olohan's head bobbed around his Mus, his eyes widening. One, two, three? No, they flitted too close to the ground for him to see. But it was just his luck to find the little tasties.
"Egratz," He breathed, "Get some berries and take stock of how many of those Parus are down there. Distract them while I prepare to get one ok?"
The mus seemed vacant of the thought of 'stocking'. Berries and getting them yes. Distracting the birds, ok, he could do that.
"St-s-stocking, Olo? They has mark..." The Sentinel rolled his eyes. What did he care anyhow?
"Count them. Remember how I taught you to count? Up to five?" It took a moment for that tiny brain to work but in the end the Mus nodded and scurried itself down the tree towards the bushes and eating parus. All Olohan now had to do was wait as Egratz starteled one to take flight from it's mates.

Distantly Clover thought she heard a familiar twittering noise. She slowed her flight, trying to listen...yes, those were parus. Maybe not hers but parus none the less. She altered course, hurrying a little in case the birds moved on. If they were hers she be alright, and if they were someone else's...well she would either return them, or eat them, or add them to her own flock. If they could sing, that is.
Flying on, she broke through a line of trees. There, below! Several birds were hopping about! They had markings, and she called out. "Flat? Are you there?" One parus looked up, but it wasn't hers. This wasn't her flock. And only the one was a parus, the rest were just normal birds. Thinking they could serve well later, she swooped down, catching one bird and the parus in her talons. The bird she killed easily, but she decided to try and speak to the companion. As it turned out it had been separated from its owner, and actually quite a decent singer. She instructed the parus to follow her, and after gulping the bird down took off again. She just had to find her flock eventually!

Slowly Egratz crept along the bushes. His marking was a bonus for the red-orange berries camaflauge. Being mostly a dark brown color, he could blend well with bark and dirt.
The parus chittered away it seemed. Perhaps they were oblivious? The Mus didn't really pay attention. He looked up far to spot his master, keenly aware that he was ready to pounce. He could almost feel that the talons were flexing and digging into the bark of the branch. The little mus sucked in a breath and waited. These Parus were marked by someone and, albeit he'd get a jolt of his life for ignoring commands, Egratz held some kind of simple honor. He perhaps would like it extended to him someday if things got leaner.
So, he sat in the bush and waited.
"C'mon, c'mon... What are you doing Egratz?" Olohan whispered as his eyes expanded in anticipation, "I'm dang hungry."

Okay, Clover just had to find them. At least the ones her client had wanted. She could probably pull a switch, or offer some other birds if they had been eaten, but it would be best to just leave well enough with what was ordered. And some of her best breeding stock had gone too, and Flat of course, though she was starting to think he was only good for making trouble, even if he was one of her best low-note singers.
"Flat, pluck your feathers, I'm going to give you such a-" Her thread of punishment petered out as she came through yet another treeline and spotted something orange-y on the ground. Was that? Yes! Yes it was! Without even noticing Olohan she dove for the birds, making as if to spear them with her talons. At the last moment she banked, managing to land atop them more like a mother would on her children. It seemed the unknown hunting attempt would be foiled by her after all.

"Krrrrraaahh!" Olohan was quite startled. He was watching so intently at the Parus that he was truly surpized that the Sentinel had come back for them so quickly.
"Don't you be startin' mah heart like that!" He squawked, but hastily added, "Alright Egratz you can stop watching out for them on the ground."
"Huh? But you, Olo-olo. I go huh!" Egratz was also startled it seemed and could not carefully place his ideas in line for speech. It would take a long time for his near perfect speech to come back now. Ugh, what a pain.
Olohan shook himself as the fat mus waddled back up the tree towards his companion. Olohan took stock at what was going on and casually leaned himself towards the trunk of the tree and placed his will to brace himself. Effectively leaning up against the tree without exactly touching it.
Smooth. I did that very well, he congradulated himself smugly in his mind. He managed to put into practice the lean that Olohan, himself taught!

Odd winged silently through the forest, mostly for hunting reasons. He hated to be a burden to the clan, but he was definately not the most skilled sentinel in the forest. When in Deep Woods, usually he did not have much trouble, save for in a few distinct and lighter locations. With food being scarce, however, he did not have much of a choice.
A matching white chirop flew only inches from his face, but he was not hunting her. This white creature, who was marked with a light pink, was his most favored and trusted companion. Moth had been his first chirop. Not only this, she was the smartest and most versed chirop he had ever met. She had to be, as she served him as a seeing-eye companion.
"Anything?" He asked her quietly.
"No... Not yet." Moth replied in her shy, soft voice.
They had left his other two favored chirops at the oak. Beetle and Worm were wonderful little creatures, but would only get in the way at this time.
OOC: Awesome, thanks!

Clover of course was startled by Olohan being startled. She jumped in place a little and spun about, perching protectively over the (utterly nonplussed) parus. She spotted the waddling mus and relaxed a little. What had they been saying? Oh yes, the male had sent his mus to watch her parus until she came for them, or something. Right? Well that was good enough she decided. "Now Flat." She peered upside down at the birds below her, "You take this batch home right now, hear me?" It was clear she wasn't happy, and the fattest parus of the batch muttered a quick apology before trilling loudly and flying off. The four Olo had spotted went right behind him, and surprisingly enough, another handful, perhaps up to ten more, shot out of the nearby brush, zipping after the lot.
Clover watched them go (she'd have hated to lose that large a bit of her flock) and then hastily lit off the ground, perching across from the male. "Hello. Thank you for watching my birds." She eyed the mus a moment. "I'm sorry about him, I'd offer my help if I was any good with mus." Her eartufts flicked to the side then, and she shifted to look. What was that, so brilliantly white, and...coming towards them?

Grudgingly Olohan had to admit, he was glad he didn't eat any of the painted Sentinel's flock. He hadn't the clue that there were so many.
"I'd take it you were a Keeper," He started slowly, as he straightened himself out, "And pay him no mind. It happens when he gets excited. All in all Egratz is a good mus companion. Amazing that I found him, seemed half wild, but since he's so good he must have been brought up by a nice Keeper at some point." Meanwhile the Mus eventually stopped and took a few breaths.
"I makes greet!" He exclaimed proudly, while looking happily to Olohan, "I be Eeg-ats. He be Olo-olo. Olo...Olo-han!"
"Did good little buddy. Yup. I'm Olohan, and he's Egratz, may I ask who you are sunshine?" But by the time he had asked he noticed Clover's noticing of the odd pure white creature heading toward them. It looked like two white creatures. Possibly a misty Sentinel come to this juicy spot. Well at least it was until the owned flock went home.

Odd's progress was slow, but the chirop that guided him was efficient and kept him from steering off course. She gave a squeak of delight when she saw the mass group of parus go, but quickly noticed their markings.
"Oh... No.. Ne'min." She apologized quickly to the white sentinel behind her, as soon as she heard his beak open to speak.
"Nothing? But I heard wings?"
"Allmark. Allmark with brightspots." Moth told him with a hint of disappointment. A well fed keeper meant a happy colony of chirops. Odd would not turn on them and eat, that she was sure, but it certainly helped his spirits if he ate, too.
She grew silent as she led her owner along, then gave another squeak. "Two. Two sentinels. One brightspot, like parus. Other... Has mus. Little mus. Noeats there."
"Well... Why don't we rest for a n**, eh? No harm... Besides, I am getting tired." The albino told his faithful chirop.

Clover nodded as introductions began. "Hello Olohan, Egratz, it's nice to meet you." She paused at being called sunshine, but assumed he was referring to her rather striking dye job. She did look rather like Helios color-wise, it seemed. "It's Clover, and you look like you've got a flecking of sunshine yourself there." She said in reference to his spots. Distantly she wondered what task he did. He obviously wasn't a keeper, with just one mus.
Her attention was drawn back to the white speck, now obviously a perfectly white Sentinel. A mist maybe? "Hello?" She called out, noting his chirop but not making the connection to his blindness yet. "Join us, won't you? We won't bite!"

"I certainly won't, and thanks," Olohan flapped slightly as he made room for the pair comming. He looked towards the two comming. It was kind of funny how the chirop led the way instead of the Sentinel.
"Egg-say, Sentinel pretty-pretty," Egratz looked to and fro, "Need pretty-pretty sun colors like you two! All be a one-two-three!"
"I wouldn't say need and it would be a trio - good job Egghead," Olohan replied, "But it wouldn't hurt for color. He's pure white! I've never seen a Sentinel like that before. Kind of... odd." Olo wasn't known for his tact, besides his rare moments.
