Astrea had wandered for a few days, clueless as to where she was going. She didn't worry about it too much, though, because where she was was very pretty. It was foresty, damp, and quite different than what she was used to. Her paws loved the grass feeling of the ground, though. Perhaps this would be somewhere new to life for a little while.
She didn't know that she had begun to walk within the territory of another lion, or moreso, lions. A pride. Her dark red eyes scanned the area, soaking in all the beautiful colours.
She was distracted until a sudden sound made her heart skip. What was that? She was nervous, mainly because she did not know where she was, or if this area was any bit dangerous.
"H-hello?" she called out gently, her clear, pretty voice swirling around the trees to hopefully find themselves in a pair of ears.

Yue really wasn't in the mood to deal with anything, or anyone. He certainly had a mean side, and it was rearing it's ugly head today. If only everyone in the Pridelands saw him today, they wouldn't believe that he was the same old shy Yue that had grown up there. Oooh, what such rapid changes in your life did to you.
So he couldn't help feeling hostile at the voice that he heard. "What?" he snapped back, tail flicking behind him wildly. A few more steps, and he saw just who stood before him; a pretty little lioness, but a shy one at that. Plus...she was a bit round. Ugh. Was it baby season or something? It hit him in a more tender spot then it normally would of, since he....yeah. He had cubs coming too, he just didn't know when. He had tried to avoid Hari and Sen like the plague, and so far he was doing alright. Soon, though, all his freedoms would be gone.

Oooh. Well, that didn't work too well. She recoiled backwards, especially when she noticed how big the other lion was. And that he didn't seem too happy. More bad luck. But....he did reply, didn't he?
"Well, um. I was wondering if you could tell me where I am?" He seemed familiar with these lands. It showed in the way that he walked through them. She knew she didn't have much time until her cubs would soon want to come into the world, and she wanted to try and be somewhere safe for them. Sigh, why did she had to become pregnant? She'd deal with it as best she could, though.
She sat where she was, her tail curling around her side to 'protect' her belly. It was instinctive, now.

Yue raised an eyebrow. "Lost, are you?" It seemed odd that she would wander through other pridal lands, not knowing where she was. His home was bordered by three prides (though one was nearly impossible to actually enter), and she hadn't come across a single hint? Well, the other two prides were small, yes, but it still seemed odd.
"Well, you are in the Mtaishi'miele lands," he commented, "bordering a giant lake. Does that help you at all?" His tone was one of boredom, hoping that she would turn around and go away. Mainly because he wanted to be left alone at the moment, and keep to himself. It was a golden (ha!) time for him now, because silence would be impossible soon enough.

"Oh."
Well, that actually didn't help her very much. She didn't know much about a lake, or anything else that was around here. She just kept following the pretty foliage that she had seen. But that was a mistake on her part, because she really needed to find a place to settle down before her cubs came knocking on the door.
"Do you....know if I could stay here for a while?" It seemed like a nice request. She didn't want to mention the cubs that were coming, though....especially if they weren't all keen on ones that we're pure lion. That would be something she would have to figure out later; for now, just find a place for them to call home.

"Stay?" It seemed like an easy enough question, but he wasn't all sure. HMMMM. He decided to play a little with her, just for a short moment while he was 'deciding'.
He took a few steps towards her, peering around at her. Yes, she was carrying cubs. It was more obvious the closer that he got. The petite lioness couldn't hide that belly, and it would be even more evident soon.
"Weeeell.....I can think about it."
The thought about his own cubs on the way changed his perspective, though. If he could convince her to stay as something of a nanny, well....then he wouldn't have to spend as much time with his own kids as he would probably be forced to!

"Oh!" Well, that wasn't the answer she wanted to hear! She needed to know now, because if he wasn't going to let her hang around, then she needed to find another place quickly. She felt a bit of emotions clinging to her face, drawing her lips down in a sad way, her eyes a bit glossy with developing tears.
"I cannot beg, I fear, so perhaps I will simply dismiss myself." A bit of her old tongue creeped in with her emotions. She felt her limbs sway a bit with emotion as she lifted herself back onto all four of her paws. If it wasn't to be, it wasn't to be. Just another unlucky draw from life for her, really. She would find a place that her bad luck couldn't reach her, and then she would finally have a home.

"s**t," he said under his breath. Er, he meant oops. Really.
With a leap, he soon skidded in front of the lioness, before she had a chance to leave. He knew that she would be spooked by it, so he tried to not look too agressive.
"I uh, didn't mean it like that," he said, trying to convince her. Sen would probably be fine with it, as long as she was nice, and she seemed genuine, if a bit strange.
"You're free to stay here, really. We're nice," he added on, because most of them were. Just....he wasn't always so nice, but would always pin the blame on Sen and/or Hari. "There's just one condition, though."
He let it linger in the air for a moment to build up momentum. "As long as you're a nanny, you can stay."

Astrea was startled, but nothing more. It was hard to really scare her, no matter how timid she seemed to act.
"A nanny?" The request seemed odd to her. She didn't see very many little ones running around. In fact, she hadn't come across a cub in quite some time, even before she herself was carrying cubs. "Well, I suppose so..."
It didn't seem like something too good to be true, but she still wasn't sure on the actions that this yellow lion was taking.
"Can I have your name?" It would be good to know just who told her she could stay here, in case she came across some trouble.

"Jin'Yue," he replied. He couldn't help but crack a smile as he looked at the lioness before him. Well! This would turn out quite nicely. He had his perfect plan of snubbing off his cubs, since if they had a nanny, they wouldn't need him too much. Not that he knew that he might change his mind once they actually came, but hey! He had grown into a bit of a lazy, selfish oaf, and only a good solid smack in the head might make him realize that.
"Our other leader is Sen, my sister. She is white with grey markings, if you come across her. Just reaffirm to her I let you in, just in case she makes a comment." She might just wonder where the hell this black lioness came from, but whatever. "If you continue that way," he gestured behind himself, "the main part of the pride is there."

"I'm Astrea," she mentioned quietly, though he didn't ask for her name. Did he even care? Well, it was out there, and he heard it, so he couldn't say anything about it against her.
Her dark red eyes perked up as he let her know where the majority of the pride lived. So there were more. That was comforting, even if it made her very very nervous.
She took a few steps towards the area where Jin'Yue had told her to go, passing him as she continued to look on. It...seemed very pretty, lush, and safe. As long as the other members were nice, it would be a perfect place to live.
She turned around, noticing that Jin'Yue wasn't following her. "Are you coming?"

"Nooo, no," he replied, shaking his head. There was no way he was going back over there right now. "I'll be there later in the day." He could always say he was doing something for....someone. If he needed a story he would just try to make one up on the spot. For now, he would enjoy his alone time, thank you!
"Just look for Azriel, and let him know that you're a Yaya. He'll fetch you a flower that you wear around your neck, letting others in the pride know of your rank. Simple as that."
He flicked his tail, motioning her on. "It's safe, really. I'll check up on you later."
He turned his head back around to continue again on his little stroll, humming to himself. Take that, Hari and Sen!

"Oh...okay," she said, noticing that he was starting to leave again. Well, obviously he didn't care that much, but maybe he was in the middle of something.
She took another long look at the back of the gold lion, wondering to herself for another moment. So strange, hopefully the others would be nice to her.
Astrea's black paws began to carry her to where Jin'Yue had told her to go. Flowers? She would hopefully find him soon, so she could wear this flower that Jin'Yue had mentioned. The more she could look like a regular member, the easier it would be to actually transition into a regular member.
