“So, when do I get to see her?” Nora paced angrily around the ground she was given, gritting her teeth as her tail flicked wildly. They had PROMISED that she would be able to see Andy if Nora stayed with them, so why were they taking so long? The girl sat, wriggling her toes as she groped and moved them. She did not want to play with the toys, she did not want to eat their food- not until Andy was there so she could assure her that everything was fine. She had surely been here longer than Nora-- that is, if she were even alive. She swallowed down an uncomfortable lump in her throat and tried to forget those thoughts. She is alive. She's more than alive, she's doing great. At least, Nora hoped so.
The girl's eyes leered at those walking by, giving the clear message that she was almost ordering them to bring her sister the next time around. Most of the people sensed this as they walked by, letting out a cold shiver before continuing on their journey. Other than that, she hardly moved. She didn't want to, unless someone found out about her acrobatics ability before she could use them to escape with Andy. “Come on, Andy...” She mused, feeling more beaten than ever before. “We can make it if you get here... Please be safe...”

Andy had been surprisingly well behaved for this group. Thus far she had walked to car on her own, sat quietly on the drive there and hadn't tried to bite or scratch a single person. This might have been for the promise that they would find Nora, might even have been that the people didn't really try to be all warm, fuzzies to her either.
It had been several weeks though, and the good behavior was beginning to wear off as Nora still didn't show up. Food began to get thrown on the walls, late night trips started up as Nora tried to see if they were just hiding Nora from her or they really hadn't found her sister, and the girl became even more standoffish to the technicians that showed up every so often, often sitting in the corner refusing to speak to them.
Today though, today something was up. Every couple of hours, a technician would stop by, just to check on her. What was up? Finally a beaming tech came in the room. "Andora! Come on, come on. We don't want to be late!" he chivvied, trying to hurry the calico out of the room. Intrigued Andy let herself be led from the room.
Finally they reached a play room with a half-door. She couldn't see over it but the man had suddenly squeezed her hand before swinging the door wide open. For a moment it didn't register. Then...
"RA!" Andy screeched, hurting her own ears a little, before taking off at a dead run towards her sister. She was here, finally here! Everything was going to be okay! Nora could fix anything.

There the Calico sat, bewildered as she saw the door fling open. First, she glared at the taller figure that had been the culprit of interrupting her thoughts, but the anger vanished completely as she noticed Andy. Finally, months of separation and bitterness melted away as she leaped from her previous position to quickly meet Andy's run, wrapping her in a tackle-hug that had enough force to knock them flat on the ground. She didn't care, though, they were back together again, and nothing could have been done to tear them away again! There would be no dump, there would be no evil cars that separated them, there would be only happiness from here on out! “Andy!” Was the only word Nora could say.

CRASH! The two calicos smashed together, faling to a heap on the floor. Andy hugged her sister tightly for a bit, before wriggling to a seated position. "Nora, Nora! I lost you at the car and then they put me at this family but the family didn't like me, they thought I was weird, and then I went to another but I tried to leave and then they sent me to another and another and then someone came and brought me here and they said that they'd find you and they did and now your here and I miiiised you!" With that Andy latched onto her older sister again.

Nora grinned heartedly, stifling a laugh as her sister went unbelievably fast in telling her the story of what had happened to her since they had been separated. “Whoa, you're going too fast, Andy!” Nora said with her wide grin. Her tail flicked as she realized that she would have to have said her story soon. The calico frowned, but then returned with a small smile. “But me, too. Family after family!” She waved one of her hands. “One of them had a pet fishie, too! They... Didn't like me, though.” Nora lied, still smiling.

Andy glanced at her sister suspiciously. "Did you try to eat it?" the younger girl asked in perfect seriousness. "It probably wouldn't've tasted any good," she informed Nora taking her sisters explaination at face value.
Abruptly Andy hugged herself close to Nora, sniffling. " 'say gonna get new people. Maybe different people." The calico looked up. "What if they won't let us see each other?" Andy held tight to her sister, terror crashing through her. What if they were just like everyone else? Nice in front of the public but.. horrible when the door was closed?

“Nah, I didn’t even fool with it.” Nora said, giving a small laugh as she spoke. “It was really old, probably was going to die soon, anyway.” Even though she was just a child, Nora could still tell a lie with a straight face. Maybe living in the dumps with no hope but of seeing her sister again had refined some of her abilities. No doubt that her acrobatics were top-notch because of her being outdoors for long periods of time. The calico stared at Andy, the color quickly draining from her face as she talked about the risks of another family. “N… No!” She burst outward at that thought. “No… No, they won’t!” Nora clung to her sister, almost for dear life. They couldn’t… They wouldn’t… After how long it took for Nora to see her sister again, they were going to rip them apart? She wasn’t going to let them.
