Daisuke walked out of the Pokemon Center, holding his newly packed bag. He was on his way to Joviline, where he is to meet with the Pokemon Professor there and get his starter pokemon. He pulled out his cruise ticket as he walked up onto the harbor, boarding the S.S. Gale. He relaxed while on the ship, taking in the sea air, until he reached his room. There, he took a quick nap, then hung around the restaurant the rest of the day. He couldn't wait to get to Joviline.

"The desert..." Avril told her Houndoom. Avril put on her pair of goggles, and got out Houndoom's.
Avril attempted to put it on, but Houndoom backed away.
"Either close your eyes, or let me put goggles on you."
Then, Avril got the goggles on him.
"Let's go. And be ready for battles."
They started running through the rough desert winds until a split came in the path. "Houndoom, which way?"
Houndoom pointed down the half that was covered in sand.
"Alright... I heard there were more trainers that way..." This time, they walked at a fast pace.
As they passed a rock, Houndoom had suspicion that they would soon be ambushed... and he was right.
Four trainers popped up, one from behind the rock, two from under the sand, and one from the air.
They were trapped.

"Team Sandstorm sound off!" The one behind them called.
Left- "The beautiful,Rosalie!"
Right- "The powerful, Marcel"
Ahead- "The smarts,Obert!"
Behind- "The leader, Dax! And together we're..."
All- "Team Sandstorm!"
Right- "Here to challenge anyone we choose!"
Left- "And you just happen to be one of them!"
Ahead- "You may choose who you battle!"
Behind- "But we can't guarantee a win!"
Avril had trouble keeping up with there names, and was in shock.
"Houndoom, you choose." She whispered to her on guard Pokemon.

Houndoom pointed his nose towards Rosalie.
"Alright." Then Avril spoke louder, now remembering two of the names. "I challenge Rosalie."
"Alright! Get ready to get beat!", she sprang up and said.

"This will be a one on one battle!" Dax announced.
"We'll show you beauty! Go, Gardevoir!" Rosalie called out.
"Houndoom! Show them your strength!"
Houndoom howled as he marched in front of Avril.
The other three trainers stood aside to watch.
"We'll go first! Houndoom, bite!"
"Gardevoir! Teleport!" Rosalie said with a little alarm.
Houndoom bit the air with dissatisfaction.
"Torment, Houndoom!" Avril yelled.
Houndoom grinned, and used torment.
"Now bite again!"
"Gardevoir protect!"
Houndoom hit the shield. He snarled.
When the shield died, Avril yelled,"Use punishment!"
Gardevoir couldn't dodge that blow. She was sent flying into the sand.
It didn't have enough strength to get back up.

"Yea! We won!" Avril screeched.
"Gardevoir, no!" Rosalie whispered.
"You lost." Dax said addressing his words to Rosalie. "Go heal your Pokemon and meet back at the spot where we normally meet and we'll train the rest of the day." Dax sounded harsh.
"Yes, sir." Rosalie ran off through the sand.
"Here, take this potion as a winning prize." Dax said, handing Avril the item.
"Thank you." Avril replied quietly.

Luca smirked to himself as he boarded the S.S. Gale, followed by a group of seven Team Tsunami grunts. He quickly made his way to the receptionist and tilted up the brin on his fedora in order to see her better
"Hello, welcome to the S.S. Gale. If you'll just give me your name I'll be able to find your room and you can begin your fabulous vacation!" The woman beamed at him.
"Actually it won't be much of a vacation for us. The name's Luca Florian. My... accosiates and I were hired to provide some entertainment during the voyage."
"Oh! You're the band then! The umm... The Droogs?
"That'd be us miss."
"Well then, you'll be staying in rooms ten through thirteen." The woman grinned at him as she held out the key cards.
"Thank you very much." Luca said as he took the keys and made his way through the foyer and toward the cabins.
Upon finding the rooms luca distributed the keys amongst the grunts, before realizing that the current set up was two to each room. He promptly snapped the second key to room ten in half.
"What'd you go and do that for!?" The grunt carrying the bass drum shrieked, "Where am I supposed to stay?"
"Gentlemen, we have an uneven number of keys. It appears our bassist will have to sleep in one of your rooms. Of course if there isn't enough space I suppose he'll have to seek lodgings elsewhere. Up on the deck perhaps?" He entered the cabin without waiting for their reply.
The man removed the electric guitar from his back and placed it in the corner before flopping down on the bed. His hand closed around a pokeball at his belt, and he abruptly threw it across the room; shattering a framed picture.
A second later a Butterfree appeared from it and drifted over to him. The creature drifted over to Luca, landing on his chest and gazing at him with an inquisitive look.
"Butterfree," Luca sighed, "I got a feeling that we're gonna be having a lot of fun on this ship."

"now see this is a true soldier more of you should act like Kaichi" said Zakura pleased with the news he just received. "how are is the daycare" asked Zakura hoping today would have more good news. "everything is on schedule sir but there are a few trainers wishing to see there pokemon" said the grunt as he typed some more buttons. "so... have them taken care of then continue" said zakura as he relaxed a bit as a few grunts left the ship"

"oh my god just amazing" said Dante as he rubbed the sheets against his cheeks. "I'm in paradise...or something close to it" he yelled diving under more sheets. "i should probably share this" he said as he came from under the sheets letting out sneasel, absol, haunter, granbull, pidgeot, and toxicroak to roam around the room and mess with stuff or passengers.

Team Sandstorm followed Avril every step of the way.
She was getting used to them. She figured out that-
Rosalie wasn't that bright and was a little preppy, but still nice;
Marcel was the really tough guy (muscular himself along with his Pokemon) who didn't feel like talking unless it was about fighting or his favorite bands (which were all hard rock);
Obert wasn't as much as a nerd as his title suggested, he was more of a follower and knew so many tactics in battles or contests, it was scary;
and finally, Dax, the leader, he really was a cool person, but he can set expectations a little too high sometimes, and tries not to get stressed when someone messes up.

They finally reached Fallarbor somewhere around midnight.
"So, did you think about joining the team?" Rosalie asked out of the blue.
"Uh, yeah." Avril said.
"So?"
Then Dax cut in. "Let her be. She'll tell us her final answer tomorrow after we rest up at the center." He turned to Avril. "When does your plane leave?"
"Tomorrow night.... I think at ten."
"Alright, that's plenty of time."
Avril was relieved. She really wanted to join, but she just didn't feel like answering until she was completely positive.

They stayed in the Pokemon Center sharing rooms: boys in one room, girls in the other. Avril's Houndoom slept on the floor beside Avril's twin sized bed.
Rosalie was rambling off about cute boys... surprisingly, Avril knew one of them. It was Marcel. After a bit of chatting about him, she moved on and asked, "So, you have a crush?"
It caught Avril off guard. She usually never had crushes... but... she couldn't tell her...
"C'mon, you can tell me."
"It's late. Let's go to bed." Avril replied yawning.
"Fine, but you will answer my question."

Conall waited at the bay's harbor for the boat. There were many others waiting in the sloppy bunch too. He glanced at the crowd, scanning it for any person he knew from Sinnoh. As he looked, he noticed someone familiar. Too familiar. Conall reassured himself by thinking that it wasn't the same person. The morning faded into day, then day into evening. During this time the boat arrived. Everyone boarded the ship mostly in a rush. However, it was held up for a few minutes due to someone's Mantyke jumping into the ocean. Every person on deck was to report to the Grand Lobby to receive a cabin number and key. Conall was only the 20th to receive his. He got one of the luxury sweets. He excitedly searched the floor for his room. He soon found it.

"Conall, is that you?" a calm yet surprised voice asked from behind him. Conall turned and saw exactly who he thought he saw at the harbor.
It was Kelsey.
