 The white and light blue stallion landed slowly in the small clearing he was so accustomed to. "Sigh, this place seems to get smaller and smaller every time I come here." He said to himself. "Not today, I'll explore other places." He said to himself as he took to the frigid sky once more.
He flew across the land as he spotted a completely frozen over river. A smile crept up on his face as he dove down towards it. It was secluded just like the clearing and it seemed like a fun place to play at. He dropped to the snowy ground and then folded his wings close to his body. He dipped his nose towards the ice to see if he could see or hear the sounds of running water under the ice.
There seemed to be sign of any broken ice or places where there was weak ice. He noticed little animal tracks going to and from the other side and the side he was standing on. He lifted his head to see if there was another Soquili around the area.

There is another Soquili about - though it's surely not the soul to thank for the tracks. Hooves aside, it's far too large for that; its build is heavier even than most of its kin, with thick limbs carrying it gracefully through the snowy crests. On closer inspection, it's notable the figure is in fact female... And watching her a while longer, perhaps that's no real surprise.
She has an elegance about her one might expect from a member of the feminine persuasion, even if she is only drifting aimlessly along the riverside. Her neck arches purposefully, and her aqua gaze is passing rather carefully over the drifts of white, perhaps waiting for something to strike her fancy. Or maybe she's just quietly observing, simply enjoying the crisp, pristine landscape her thick coat has allowed her to appreciate in comfort. At the moment, either seems equally likely; she keeps moving, snow crunching beneath her hooves as she steps lightly through it.
Suddenly, the mare pauses, exhaling a silent breath that leaves her muzzle in a white, misty puff. There was a soft thud; her ears pricked, swiveling attentively as her weight shifted. She knows that sound... Again, she skims the glistening landscape, but this time her nose lifts, and she tests what little breeze there is for traces of what she's quite certain is company.

His gentle ears flickered. He couldn't tell whether there was another soquili or not nearby, though it didn't really much matter to him since it was okay playing alone but he would much rather be around another soquili, even if they were hostile towards him. He dipped his head to double-check the river. It would be a shame if he fell into it and froze his tail off.
He stepped his shiny blue hooves upon the frozen river. The ice was sturdy and slightly slippery. He shook his head to move a lock of wavy blue-ish white hair out of his eyes. A soft jingle from his neck ornament twinkled gently, the wing carrying the sound into the distance of the forest. He trotted his way across the icy river. The snow was piling up upon it and it was quite a sight to see.

She spots nothing, but the object of her attention is upwind, and she catches signs of it with little effort, courtesy of the breeze that tickles her velvet nose. The mare had suspected its identity already, but she knows now it is indeed Soquili, which causes her to set herself toward its source at an ambling trot, her hooves crunching through the snow.
She's in no particular hurry, but she comes upon the other soon enough, in time to glimpse a form setting off onto the icy surface. And as much as she'd like to stay back and watch from here, she knows she shouldn't stare, and instead makes her way down the snowy hillside. "Excuse me," she calls as she nears, soft and tentative.

He shifts his weight back and forth in a playful manner as he stands upon the ice. His tail swished happily as he takes a few more steps, still unaware of the Soquili around him.
He hears sounds. It sounded like a soquili but he wasn't sure. His ears flicker towards the direction. Something seemed to be addressing him. He blinks a few times and sees a mare approaching him. He turns around and walks back to steady ground slowly. He places his two front hooves upon the fluffy white snow and calls back, "Yes?".
