I've now applied to 9 different grocery store bakeries for both bakery clerk and cake decorator positions. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
I'd really love to be out of my new job before schools out and business gets crazy. It's already picked up with people shopping for spring and summer clothes. And now they've got me working not one, not even two, but freaking 3 weekend days in a row. And this week it's 3 weekend days right in the middle of a 6 day long work week for me, all 6-8 hour shifts. For our store this is a pretty horrible work schedule. Sometimes I hate being good at my job, I'm always the one the manager schedules to be on hand during peak business days and whenever we get a corporate visit. The only 3 things that could be worse is if they had me working closing shifts, stock, or customer service. All of which I've done before. Everytime they put me on stock I consider turning around and quitting right there on the spot. There was one day I was so mad about it I actually swayed on the spot and considered walking over, punching out, and walking out.
