The newly born little kit wiggled his nose slightly at the cool wind blowing his way. Silly parental unit, hide and go seek was so yesterday! He only brought it up to wander off and explore. There was much to be done! Many new things to tackle and sniff! The world was a new place, but an awesome place. Lots of cool things to discover. Adventuerer Horus was prepared for anything that will blow his way! All he was missing was one of those little cowboy hats and a bag full of supplies.
Hark! The start of a new journey away from parental units or silly siblings. As much as he loved rolling around with them, he wanted to roll somewhere else now. Maybe roll around in this weird, squishy but soft green stuff. Oooh, how interesting!
His soft paws squished against the green grass, pressing it down everytime it poped back up. Most interesting! He would have to tell of this tale; the tale of this mysterious green stuff!

Peace, quiet, and tranquility. Three things he had wished for, once upon a time. Something he'd fought to bring to those around him, something he'd nearly died for on various occasions. Three things that were granted to him, in such a strange way that had him believing the old saying 'be careful what you wish for.'
And so this war-torn angel had found himself in a new land where these three words existed in everyday life. Sure he would occasionally catch a whiff of a foul nightmare and every once in awhile he would hear the gentle sound of wings overhead, however this world seemed to be dominated by their land-bound brethren. If that's what it took for a world of peace he could be content with watching over them from the skies, no matter how lonely a life it seemed.
So, needless to say he was quite surprised to find a lone kit wandering around, peaceful world or no. Not an ordinary kit either, but a child of angels. He was reluctant at first to admit the danger of such a happening, even in this tranquil world that had lulled even him into a sense of security.
He knew his own kind well enough to pass over the thoughts of the child purposely being left unattended, and his mind didn't even touch the possibility of abandonment. Instead, a small grin formed as he watched the child from his place hidden amongst the brush. In an act to catch the child's attention he flicked one of his tails, causing the brush to rustle just enough.
The curiosity and innocence of kits was so endearing, and such a nice change as well.

Long ears flickered at the strange noise yonder. Was it a monster?! If it was, it was his turn to be brave! Daddy can't protect him now, not so far away anyway. And Mommy was busy with Daddy and sissy, so there was no way anyone else could defend this world against such terror. Only brave Horus was up to this task, yes! He would be the savior! Mommy and Daddy would be so proud! Oh yes they would.
With a giant huff of a breath, he ran towards the origin of that strange noise. Just a rustling bus--oh wait! What's this? A Fluffy white and orange tail? Perhaps this was a part of the true monster. Maybe a tentacle with fur on it? Only one way to find out! Tackle it!
He lifted his behind higher than normal and wiggled his tails playfully. A pinkish colored tounge stuck out as he prepared his pounce. Attack!

The adult could only watch fondly as his actions were rewarded when the young kit came over his way. Before he knew it he found himself chuckling lightly and quickly muffled the sound with his paw over his maw. The sound was still audible though, probably only adding fuel onto the fire of the child's imagination. Who knew what was going on in the kid's head?
Sea green eyes glinted in amusement as the young angel steeled himself for the unknown before making his way behind him, where one of his own tails sprouted out of the bush obviously.
He slowly and quietly began to poke his head out from the bush as the kit adopted the typical pouncing pose, rear-end high in the air, tongue out, and eyes forward in strict concentration. A thought crossed his mind suddenly and he weighed the option of pulling his tail in at the last minute but decided against it for another option.
Just as the kit landed successfully on his tail, his head shot up out of the bush noisily, already looking back at the kit.
"Boo!"

Ahh! Retreat! Retreat! The monster sighted him! The plan failed! Scary monster will atta--...wait a minute, that's not a monster at all. He looks like Mommy and Daddy! Only with different colors and slightly different size. Actually, he was kind of like a lighter version of his handsome self. Only he had these weird swirly patterns that made him dizzy, while Horus had stripes and that sort of pattern. Maybe he was a friend of Mommy and Daddy?
Gathering himself up from the graceful fall, he wiggled his body to rid himself of the dirt that clung to his greyish fur. Dark green orbs peered up at the large adult, head tilted on the side curiously. He was still young and didn't yet understand the meaning of words. But he understood this Kitsu was a good one. He was a silly Kitsu! Little giggles escaped his tiny maw as he continued to gaze at the older adult. His tails waved behind his little butt cutely as he observed. What an odd Kitsu. A new discovery!

He simply watched the child's reaction, his smile only growing. Once the kit had regained his bearings and was shaking himself off, Val decided to rid himself of the bush he was currently lounging in for no reason and stood. With a quick flick of his wings they were free of any twigs that had taken up residence and he stepped out of the mass of leaves and twigs and sat himself on the grass in front of the kit.
With a swish his tails curled around his legs, resting neatly at his forepaws as he bowed his head to stare down at the little kitsu before him.
"And just what have we here? Are you lonely out here by yourself, little one? Or are your parents near?"
Though it had been awhile back, he'd met kits that could talk, and those that hadn't developed that knowledge yet. As of now, he couldn't tell with this particular kit. Just because he hadn't said anything yet didn't mean he couldn't, and with all the giggling the child sure wasn't mute or anything of the sort.
With a faint 'hmm...' he tilted his head in the opposite direction of that of the kit before just staring, as if that alone would give him the answers to his questions.

Oooh, what a prrreeeetttty pattern! They were almost as charming as Daddy's patterns! Those wings, too! What pretty wings, wow! A bright orange like the color of the sun. Hm, this adult really was a similar, lighter version of himself. Weeeiiirrdd. To get a better view of this weird Kitsu, he flopped on his side, wings tucked in and rolled left and right in front of this adult. Interesting, most interesting! Lots of swirlies!
His eyes tried to follow the patterns like it were a maze. ...Then he started to get dizzy. Woah, ok, stop. He shook his head lightly to shake himself off of the dizzy spell. Did the Kitsu have mysterious powers or something? He couldn't help but giggle at the thought. Silly, so silly. Everything was silly. He rolled around a couple more times before blowing a couple spit bubbles at the guy. Parents? He escaped from those two for a reason! To explore, of course! Parents would only hinder that process, yessss.

Val could only quirk an eye at the little kits behavior. "You're a strange little guy, you know that?" The adult spoke humorously. He wasn't particularly vain about his appearance, though he always managed to keep himself looking quite good no matter the situation. After all, fur, especially white fur was hard to keep clean when exposed to things such as dirt, grime, and blood on certain occasions. Plus it was easier to feel good, when you looked good. Had he known that even this little kit had taken notice to his appearance he might have preened a bit. But then again he really couldn't decipher the child's antics.
Unaware of what was going on through the young angel's head, he took the first recognizable gesture at face value. When the kit shook his head, he took it as a 'no' to his questions and frowned slightly.
"Well do they know where you are then? They might be worried." It was only safe to assume that this little one had wandered off, like all children had a tendency of doing. But alas, he couldn't seem to keep the frown on his face as the little one rolled about, blowing spit bubbles at him. He resisted the urge to laugh, but the smile found it's way back on his face once again. He had little to no idea of what he was doing...but it was just a child, he couldn't mess up too badly.

The little kit could only giggle and grin cutely at the adult before him. He was the strange one! Talking to a little kit who can't speak words quite yet. What a strange one! "Prrrrrruuuu?" He rolled the nonsense off his tongue, a couple spit bubbles following after the sound. Little Horus couldn't understand why the nice adult was feeling so good about himself. If he had known, he would've probably kept himself a bit cleaner. Then again, adventures always spell out some sort of dirt. If he was afraid of getting dirty, he wouldn't be the explorer, would he now?
His coat was a shade darker than the brightly colored adults, but it was still closer to white than it was to black. His coat had a couple green patches and some brown in it now that he was done rolling in the dirt(for now). If his father or mother saw him like this, they would probably get annoyed at their dirty little child getting his beautiful coat all dirty.
Opening his mouth, he could only blow a few more spit bubbles out. He didn't understand words very much, only what he knew of the world(which was very little). If his dad wasn't already frantically looking around for him, he would've noticed by now that the little one was missing. Surely he wished Horus would behave nicely like his sister would.
All he knew right now was he wanted to climb...to climb the adult right in front of him. So little paws went up into the air, waving and flailing about as he sat on the ground. Desperate green eyes shot at the adult, wishing to be picked up. He was like a really tall, big, furry tree! "Eeehh! Eeeh!" was all he could say in hopes the male would pick him up.

Parents liked their kits to be clean....right? Well not that he could say for sure, but if he ever had kits he'd like them to be clean. There were many ways to have fun and keep clean at the same time. Chuckling lightly he extended a paw and brushed away some of the clinging dirt from the young ones fur just as the kit spurted out another line of strange sounds.
The sudden waving and flailing of the kit caught him off-guard and he could only blink strangely at the little one. "Eeeeh?" More blinking. Then it registered. "Oh...you wanna go up?" Whether the kit understood him or not it was simply out of habit. Talking to someone who didn't understand you was actually a step up from talking to oneself, something he did daily.
Tilting his head back a bit he glanced up and around, trying to find where the young one wanted to go up to. Finding nothing but trees he turned back only to see the kits green eyes planted firmly on him. "Oh....OH!" He stated almost stupidly.
Reaching out he carefully picked the child up being extremely cautious to not drop the kit or anything equally bad. Little did he know he was soon to become the kit's personal jungle gym.

A roar of giggles erupted from him as he was gently picked up into the air. Weeee! High up, so high up into the air he went! This was almost like flying. Daddy promised to take him flying once he was "old enough", but this was just as good. Plus now all he had to do was land on the clean fart to climb all over him. Children usually cared little about appearences. They ran through the mud, ate worms, rolled around in dirt and stuck limbs into their mouths, and Horus was no exception. He cared little if he got the adult dirty, too.
He wiggled as best he would while being caught between the older ones arms. "Eeeeeh!" He yelled as he reached little paws out in front of the lightly colored face. This urge to climb and explore was irresistable. It was almost like crack to a crack addict, only not as harmful in some ways.
