A typical day in Sekhmets life. Not only had that orange lioness left him-finally-after a few unkind words throw at her. And Sekh had filled himself up with the rotten decay of that zebra-and he was full now. So up he went, away from the small ravine, known for breaking the legs of ruminants-and padded towards a small-drying up river bed. There he could slur his thirst and get some of the rotten flesh-smell from his dark pelt. He padded on, the white flash on his nose a brown color now-blood stained.

He slid down the dry river side and to the trickle of water-that once was a proud river. He lowered his head and lapped greedily at the crystal water. When his thirst was quenched, he set to work at cleaning himself, dipping his blazing nose into the water and working it in with his paws. He enjoyed the taste of rotten flesh but... the smell was not so apprecaited.

Finally, the got the smell of rotten corpse off his red/brown fur and was content with sunning himself-his belly full and happy. He shut his eyes and began to doze.

Life was good when food was easy to chew

((First rp so forgive me if it's a bit sloppy or weird. XD Attempting to 'find' her character and quirks))

-Hot, hot, hot. The femme serval trotted along with a soft determination, nose lifting to search out the familar scent of water. She was new to the area, having moved when she was basically shoved out of her old home by a small group of leopard scum. Ohhh.. she'd put up a fight, that was certain. For the small creature had always been blinded to the fact of her size, and her ego had always made up for it. It was lunacy to pick a fight with lions, but she did it more often then one should mention. Reguardless however, 6 full grown leopards had been enough, and with a bruised ego she'd slinked off to new hunting grounds.

Needless to say, she had no clue where anything was here in the his part of the savannah.

Finally catching scent of the prize she'd been seeking she made her way towards the small river, dually noticing the 'small' creature that was already there. Puffing softly with aggitation and memories of her latest defeat she padded her way down to the waters edge, she was MORE than happy to fight for a drink if it came to that.-

Sekh yawned and stretched his legs, his belly warming in the sun-a trick he learned from the Boa' constrictors he had met not long ago and the Crocodiles... they warmed themselves to digest and so-he took to the same method. He opened a crimson eye when he heard the approach of someone. His white and red ear twitched as the sounds of paw pads on earth continued till he was sure he would be able to spot the intruder.

Like the stranger-Sekh would fight for his spot in the sun. He scented deep with is white nose, catching a whiff of something... someone female. He perked his head up a bit, to spot the purple lady. He smiled, a bit intruigued by her reaction to someone being here. He cleared his throat...

"Well... Hello there Mada'me" He said, his deep masculine voice smooth. Anything to impress the ladies

"Uh huh" -She chortled slightly with the greeting, finding herself partly relieved that she'd be able to drink 'in peace' but also partly ruffled by the attention she seemed to recieve. For she certainly was no 'madame'.

Settling herself to drink, seemingly comfortable enough in his pressence for the moment, she studied him curiously with one eye. Why was he laying on his back like a fool? Surely if a big enough hawk happened by they'd have a quite easy meal of belly flesh. Was it worth it to warn him of that though? She somehow doubted it.

Drawn by some urge to make conversation however, she asserted mildly making certain to aire the attitude that accompanyed her dissapointment with the river.- "Is this the biggest watering spot around these parts?"

Sekhmet lifted his head and gazed about, to make a few mental notes-for one... she was a lone female... it was hard to find a serval that was uncalled for or a rouge. Two-he wanted to make sure this wasn't a horrible trick that he'd seen other creatures like himself-hiding behind their larger lion counterparts to ensnare unsuspecting creatures like he. After a few moments of his crimson eyes staring around-he relaxed and sat up fully-his white nose sniffing.

"Eih... yeah... It's the biggest I believe but-it is also the easiest to access... With the hippos' keeping crocodiles away from us-smaller folk-and keeping the water safe to drink at.. Rather nice really." He said, lifting his head and scenting for those wonderful hippo's-with their large tusks and bellowing calls. They kept the damn lions away... Sekh rather liked those hippo's... even if they were gnarly beasts.

"Course, the smaller watering holes are as good as any-as long as their is water..."
