Atreyu was busy, and she wasn't allowed to visit the termite mounds anymore, something about defectors from the pride or something. Kati didn't really bother keeping track of that, and there were different opinions all but flying around. Really, she was too young to know or care just yet. It just sucked not being able to visit her old play place anymore.
It was sibling hunting time, then. Scouring the usual haunts she hadn't had too much luck yet, which was a good sign. Ikwezi was definitely a very close second pick, possibly tied with Atreyu. Kati was always one for adventure, and her sister did love to explore.
"Ikwezi! Are you around here somewhere??" Kati called loudly, blinking as she stared around.

At the moment, Ikwezi had taken to tree climbing. In this area there weren't a lot of very tall trees around, but she settled for the tallest one she could find. The view was okay, not great. She knew she could get better if she looked, but she didn't want to wander off alone--mom would probably have a fit. She sighed and draped herself over a branch; it was a dull day.
Thus, her heart skipped in delight when she heard her sister's voice calling her. Kati had always been one of her more entertaining siblings, and they could probably find something to do together. "Yeah, I'm here!" she called down, then promptly dropped from her tree and landed neatly on all fours a few yards in front of her sister. She grinned, pleased with her entrance.
And just like her usual self, she got right down to business. "Hey, do you know somewhere around here where we could find some really good-sized trees? Good tall ones, not wimpy ones like this." She kicked the tree trunk spitefully.

Katiti's ears perked up along with her eyes and the corners of her mouth as she cheered instantly. Hah! Triumph!
She bounded towards her sister as Kwezi settled on her paws, giving a cubbish purr that almost shook her entire frame. She clumsily nuzzled her sister, circling around energetically.
"There's that big tree where momma said that lady, Mosi lives?" She offered, glancing off in the direction of it. Even from here it could be seen on the horizon, but it was yet left to question if it was something they could reach in a reasonable time, let alone their allowed range, or if it was climbable.

Grinning wide, Ikwezi returned her sister's nuzzle with a little playful batting around the ears. Zi had always been the kind to greet others and show love with a little roughhousing or a punch. For her, a little bit of well-intentioned abuse meant the same thing as "I love you."
"Mosi, huh?" Ikwezi, too, turned to look to the horizon. She'd heard of Mosi before, in passing, but hadn't realized she lived next to a big tree. Well, if they could see it from here it must be pretty impressive. Zi nodded. "Yeah, that'd probably do." She too questioned whether they could reach it without taking to long. Of course, she was also quick with a solution.
Looking to her sister with a wicked smirk and lashing her tail, Zi said, "I'll race you to it." And without waiting for her to respond, the little brown juve took off, her well-defined and well trained muscles pushing her far, far across the rippling grasslands like a furry bullet.
