It seems like this political campaign is different from any we've ever seen, the amount of people changing political parties is enormous, we have some new people on the ballot and we have fierce rivalry among the candidates. It really does seem like this political race is in the air and ANYONE can win. that is....a lot of recent polls show that the american people don't care as much about the iraq war as they do about healthcare and the home crisis (and i do say CRISIS) the poverty and debt. I believe the iraq war has dropped down to the #2 or #3 spot in american's priority....isn't that a sign that evrything is changing and this country is screwed up?, or am i just reading this all wrong?

it's all come down to who has the most appeal, and who can promise they can do the most (although it has always been like this just in different ways).

most people don't look for and actual plan that could work over time, they rather have a fictional that will solve things now.

1.Sen. Obama isn't Muslim, he didn't swear in on the Qu'ran, doesn't turn his back at the pledge. 2.Clinton is quickly going negative 3.McCain, oh don't get me started...... America is changing because we realize that we're in a rut, and it's the perverbial mommy-daddy problem If Americans want Jobs,Healthcare, Education, they trend overwelmingly Democrat If America wants tough National Security, they vote Republican

I think that elections deal more with who looks the best, not who would be the best. It's been that way a long time.
If you look back to 1960, JFK and Nixon were running. This was the first time that the debates were aired on television. JFK prepared both mentally and physically and Nixon didn't do that as much as JFK did. Now, I'm not saying that I prefer JFK over Nixon, or vice versa, but I think that JFK won more out of apperance than policy, because he was seen by the masses, not just a few select people who came to the debates.
