Why and how cabbage leaves were in a tree, she didn't know. But if these cabbages they were looking for could roam then, well.. it could be. And then, obviously, a bird got to it. Great.

"Sneaking around my back?" Silva asked from behind her, crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned on a tree trunk. "I'm... no, I ain't gonna lie. I'm not surprised at all. So tell me, did you find an idiotic lost brat to do your bidding, or are you waiting to find the cabbage before you just... accidentally lead the way?"

"Maybe, maybe not," she answered, having jumped when Silva spoke. "What they hell are you doin here?" she asked him then. She had been going to the cities, to physically check on orders. Yeah, she could use telepathy to do this, but it was a good excuse to fly around and look for cabbages. She had lost kids to help, so she could win the bet.

"Sure looks like more than a maybe to me," he said. "What's with the feather? I always thought you hated birds."
He didn't seem to be leaving any time soon. In fact he had hauled a** the moment one of his guards had telepathically contacted him, saying she was acting strange. Now he was glad he did. Her caught-in-the-act look reminded him of when she had been a kid.

A look she wasn't aware she was giving him, even as she shifted her weight from foot to foot for a small moment. It didn't look like he was going any time soon. "Course I hate birds. This is a weird damn bird, though," she said. Then she moved aside so he could see the cabbage leaves. "It attacked a cabbage."

"Maybe it was trying to make a nest," he said. "Birds are weird like that." He moved forward, looking the tangle of leaves and feathers over with a hunter's eye. "It's a decently big bird, I'd say. You sure you want to keep looking?"

"You're not much bigger than one," he muttered, fingering his toothpick. "Fine, since you're the one that found this, which way do you think the bird came from?" It was a strange question. Usually one would ask where do you think the bird went to. But he didn't give a s**t about where it went to.
The bird came from the cabbage, after all. It had to have to have gotten the leaves.

She had flipped him off for the muttered comment, then what he asked her to do seemed odd. Why not try and find out where the bird was going? Well, he was the ex-hunter. She didn't know a thing about real tracking.
Bav flew up a bit higher to get a better look around. There could be other signs, like more feathers or more leaves. Then, some trees away, there was something red stuck on another branch.
The fairy flew over, going for it and not saying a thing to Silva. He'd know and he'd follow.

He did, not expecting her to say anything. It was interesting to see how well she hunted, especially when she had never learned how to. Then again the feathers were a bit too obvious in all of the green. And, he thought as he glanced around, they seemed to be everywhere.
Not that he would mention that to her. "Seems a bit strange," he said when he caught up to her. "A bird losing this many feathers. Don't you think?"

"I keep wanting to think the bird took off with the cabbage and the cabbage was puttin up a fight," she muttered amusedly, looking around for more feathers. She was noticing the red in more and more places.
How was a cabbage putting up a fight, she didn't know. Though it had to be a big bird, if it did try and take off with the cabbage.

"huh," he said. "By the size of the leaves it was a decently large cabbage," he said. "I don't know of many birds that could lift the whole thing. And it looks like you can pick a general direction. Which was has the most feathers?"

Bavaria gave him a light glare. Wasn't he the ex-hunter slash tracker person here? Lazy. But then, this was her find, so she should see where the most feathers were and follow them. It's something she would have done without him, anyway.
Again she went up into the air, looking around. There were spots of red here and there, either plant life - like flowers - or the feathers that were blown off by the wind. But then there were larger patches of red, and Bav took off for them.

He followed her, idly thinking that if a bird this big got into his cherry tree grove, he'd have to kill the son of a b***h. It would eat way too much and that would just piss him off.
Then he paused. What if the b*****d already had? He had been gone for a while, now, after all, chasing the little redhead across the island. He scowled, wondering if he should abandon her and go back.
Nah, not yet.

"Oi," she said over her shoulder. "This bird looks rather big. What if we find it, doing this?" Or it found them? "You bring anythin ta fight with?"
For the moment her mind was on the bird, having no real love for them.
