Lil' The Fallen Angel
Name: Delilah Loren Harlow Jenkin-Jones Nicknames: Lore and Lil Stage Name: Lil the Fallen Angel Age: 22 Gender: female Nationality: American Ethnicity: who knows?
Appearance: Skin: Pale with a dusting of freckles and a beauty mark right above her lip. She also has more than the average amount of tattoos. Body: Height: along the lines of 5'6-5'7. but who's counting? Delilah has a pretty sensuous shape and is not afraid to 'accentuate it'. Eyes: light hazel Hair thick black hair that cascades down to her shoulders. It's often worn down, but occasionally Delilah will pull it into a pony tail. Make-up: In reality, Delilah doesn't even care around her appearance that much. The eyeliner and lipstick, it's all just for show. If Delilah could she would just wear a potato sack all day long. But as her mother always said "You're always being judged, so you best be lookin' good girl."
Personality: Delilah comes across as the ideal American girl (aside from the tattoos), but she’s not exactly the wholesome type. Lil’s childhood was a bit eccentric. She grew up with all sorts of wacky people ranging from mobsters to showgirls. So it’s not strange that Delilah is very accepting. Delilah tries not to judge other people; contrary to her mother’s beliefs she’s realized that appearances don’t a play role in anything. For the most part, Delilah is very personable. She loves interacting with people and often finds that she's supporting their dreams more than her own. What kept Delilah strong when her mother left was her optimistic outlook on life. She considered her mother's disappearance a chance to create her own path in life which paid off considering Lil' is rather happy at Cirque. Delilah loves being adored and 'romantically' being involved with someone. Yet, she's not the type to stick to a relationship. Maybe it's the word relationship, or her mother's influence...but the whole aspect of a relationship seems rather binding to Lil'. Despite Lil dropping out of school at 16, she has developed a passionate interest in books. Her favorite author is Jane Austen (Delilah is a sucker for romances). Delilah holds a different type of intelligence. She does have an expanded knowledge of literature, but she is more street than book smart. Growing up on the road has given her a taste of the life outside the cornfields of Iowa.
History: world A: 1950's mid-west. Delilah’s Mom once told her that she was born in the back of a Cadillac and wasn’t meant to be stuck in one place. Which is true for the most part considering Lil’ was born in a roadside motel…her birth father, who knows? For as long as Lil' can remember she's never been in one place. Her fathers have ranged from Carlos to Jimmy and from Alice to Benny. In reality, her family is spread all over the country. They acted as a constant reminder that Lil' can always find home anywhere she that goes. Delilah has come to appreciate creativity from the strange characters that she has met throughout her journeys across America and thus uses her tattoos as a sort of memoir of sorts to document her adventures. Joining the circus was never a choice, but it just sort of happened. It was on one fateful day when Delilah just turned 20 that her mother left. There was no goodbye, no premonition that would tell her why. But a note. A note that explained her mother's wunderlust since she was a teen, and how she left her mother and how she wanted to prevent Delilah from leaving her. It felt worse than a bad break-up. A pain that Delilah had never felt before, she was left to fend for herself. Delilah knew that she had no hope in a career without the guidance of her mother. She would never sink to the level of a stripper. The circus sounded like a dream come true, a traveling troupe! It would be like she never left home at all...
Talent: Delilah's talent consists of elaborate sets and in ground trampolines. While on the road Lil' became proficient in ballet and somewhat capable of basic flips. Ever since she was young Delilah wanted to become a singer. In her act she combines her physical skills with her singing voice. Her voice can't really compare to the song of a nightingale, but it's intriguing in its own right. Delilah's voice is a bit husky, some may even say sensual, but still manages to capture the audience. Lil' is known for her portrayal of the fallen angel that floats through a sea of stars until she eventually lands onto the earth. As well as her fallen sailor shtick where she represents a sailor that has fallen out of her boat and is swimming curiously through the sea.
