Salcia was humming a cheery tune to herself as she swam through the warm waters of the Lavender Waters. It was a clear afternoon in the sea, and she could see everything perfectly, and there were colors all around her from the life that was under the sea.
On her arm was a basket woven from sea weed leaved, and inside was an array of shells, and even a few pearls that she'd managed to cox out of some of the shell fish.

Vailea laughed joyously as she sailed through the waters, she was positively giddy from the feel of it. She loved the feel of the water cascading over her skin and scales. Ever since she was young, she enjoyed frolicking and speeding through the waters, her favorite was to propel herself with her fin while her arms were at her sides, using her outstretched wings to guide her through the waterways.
She slowed curiously, but the only thing she'd slow for was her favorite thing in the world, anything that sparkled or shined. She let out a gleeful giggle and started closer to investigate, a couple experiences of running headlong into trouble taught her to use caution, though she did sometimes forget.

The pearls, beads, silver pendants, and even her halo caught the light nicely in the water as Salcia, unawares of being watched by another Chou, continued to brush sand off of a rather large object in the water. She had no idea what is was, and it made her curious like no other. Setting her basket down on the ground, she brushed some of her looser hair from her face and set to the task of uncovering the object. Chances were it was just a big rock, but one never knew if it was something interesting.

As Vailea came closer to her goal, she narrowed her eyes and noticed that what she had been seeing was the treasure of another Choumeida. Aaaww... oh well, maybe she'll want to make friends though? She giggled to herself, feeling optimistic this day after her adrenaline rush of swimming so fast.
She seemed the soar through the water quietly, then came upon the other as she herself swam amidst a ray of light. Her hair floated in the water around her and her wings glistened and sparkled against the light. "Hello! Are you treasure hunting?" she asked brightly, her eyes twinkling with mirth.

Feeling the water currents change as something sped towards her, Salcia looked up to see what was approaching. She smiled in a warm and friendly manor as Vailea came in front of her. She couldn't help but admire the other Chou's beautiful wings and hair.
"I wouldn't call what I'm doing 'treasure hunting', per say." Giggling, she gestured to the sea weed basket, still settled in the sand. "I'm mostly collecting interesting sea shells, and on occasion some pearls. Would you care to join me?" She was rather hopeful the the other Chou would accompany her, it would give her another chance to make friends.

"Sure! My name is Vailea, what's yours?" she quickly replied feeling very happy to be included in such fun. Though the other said it wasn't treasure hunting, Vailea knew different, such pretty things as shells and pearls are always treasure. Her eyes conveyed just a touch of her giddy, lightheartedness.
Though not always evident, Vailea had a very natural way of being flirty and fun with everyone around her. She use to be teased about how she could charm fish right into her hands. Vailea exuded her most flirty behaviors when she was particularly happy, which was quite often.

"I'm Salcia, and it's most wonderful to meet you!" A thought suddenly crossed Saclia's mind when she realized that Vailea wasn't carrying any sort of basket or pouch; at least none that she could see. "Before we get started, we should get you a basket of some sort...."
She loved how happy and excited her companion was, it really made her happy as well. It was sort of an infectious thing, much like yawning, where one person would yawn and then it would just spread throughout the group.

Her wings made the slightest sort of "flutter" as she tilted her head trying to figure out how she might make a basket. She looked around and saw a mass of seaweed which had been tied and woven together to be able to carry things. "Oohhh, how clever!" she exclaimed as her face lit up with comprehension.
"I'm not sure I quite know how to make one though." She blushed, even her blush was teasing and beautiful, as the crimson flushed her cheeks making the contrast on her face very striking.

Salcia shook her head. "Don't worry about making it. If you could go around collecting long leaves of the sea weed, I'd be more than happy to make the basket for you." She was resourceful, and quite smart, so it was no wonder she was able to make baskets. "Make sure you gather a lot alright?"
Her items to gather weren't as simple. She needed to find a smooth flat rock for the base to keep the basket from closing in on itself. When she'd made hers, she'd been near a sunken ship, and the wood had proved most excellent in supporting the sides, but still being flexible. She only hoped that the wood wasn't going to be necessary for the basket all the time.

Vailea nodded, listening carefully, "I think I can do that." She smiled brightly, then left her newfound friend to go gather seaweed as instructed. Looking down below where the seaweed was more abundant, she noticed a large patch of the long tendrils floaitng in the water. She sped down and swam just above the reaching plants, picking out ones that were the longest sticking above the rest.
Every so often the water current would come by and weave through the seaweed, effectively tickling the already giddy Choumeida making her laugh. Ooo that's fun!! I've got to try that again after. she thought to herself with the biggest, most pleased grin on her face.

Salcia slipped through the water currents smoothly, her gaze fixed on the sandy floor beneath her as she looked for a suitable rock. "Oh!" She exclaimed as she lay eyes on what appeared to be a smooth, nearly perfectly circular stone. Swimming down to it, she picked up the decently sized stone and made her way back to where she'd first met up with Vailea.
Sitting herself on the sandy floor next to her basket, she inspected the stone carefully, deciding that it would, indeed, work fine.

Both hands could barely reach around the amount of seaweed Vailea had picked, as she stopped halfway through the large patch of seaweed she had been foraging from. I hope that's enough? She grinned mischievously to herself then had her tail make a strong swish and propel her quickly through the seaweed patch as she made her way back to Salcia, laughing and giggling the whole way.
She was nearly out of breath as she returned with her prize, "Is that enough?" she managed to say through half-giggling, half-gasping breaths. "You've got to try something, it's so much fun." She beamed at Salcia, the lights dancing in her eyes prettily.

Eyes wide as the rock she'd found, Salcia quickly covered her hanging-open mouth with a hand. "Oh my goodness!" She exclaimed, clearly both surprised and excited at the site of so much sea weed. "I could weave a basket and probably a house with that much!" Taking the sea weed and covering it with sand at the base to keep it from drifting off, she sat down and placed the rock in her lap and began to weave.
"So what is it that I've got to try? It sounds exciting, you're out of breath and still trying to giggle!" This Chou was an absolute kick to be with, and she was so friendly and happy!

Vailea's eyes went wide as she realized she brought too much seaweed and giggled as she settled to sit on the floor next to Salcia. "I wasn't sure, but at least you'll have a second or new home then?" She laughed mirthfully, then her eyes lit up at the question.
She pointed back towards the way she came, her voice very excited, "A field of seaweed, if you swim through it really fast, it tickles!" She giggled remembering how it felt to glide through the tendrils.

Salcia chuckled, patting the area next to where she was sitting. "Here, sit next to me and I'll teach you how to weave. It's a very useful talent to know." She chuckled softly, her wings fluttering a bit through the water as she worked smoothly with the leaves.
She looked up at the mention of a seaweed field and giggled. "I can imagine that it would tickle! We might just have to stop by later, won't we?"
