After their morning filled of pears and chatter, Pathos decided it would be a good idea to take Ophelia to his home, should she decide to stay with him another night... or two... three... forever...."Where almost there! But don't let its looks fool you, the inside is quite roomy" he boasted as he looked back at her. Wrinkling his forehead, he could see something was wrong with her, he could sense it. Were the three gems in his dream signs of omen? Gems were a sign of fortune.... but the fact that they were talking made them seem odd... in more ways then one.
Trying not to think too much about it, he decided he would make it up to her and show her another splendid day hopefully. As they headed down the river bed, the rustling sounds of the water soothed his heart and mind. Like most fafners of Attila, they try and search for the best home imaginable next to Lake Attila. Luckily for Pathos, he inherited his parent's cave when they disappeared long ago. Since then, there has been quite a bit of remodeling in order to suit his tastes.
As they continued further down the lake, Pathos slowly eased his direction left, hoping Ophelia would catch on. Their awkward silence with one another make him frown until he saw it. His cave with an outer cover of what seemed like moss. The outer coating would make everyone freeze in their tracks. How could Pathos live in such a thing? Looking at Ophelia, Pathos smiled proudly in hopes Ophelia could understand its beauty.

Ophelia walked just behind Pathos and was lost in deep thought. The morning had passed well enouhgh, they had eaten the pears together and Pathos had seemed so excited to go and show her where he lived. Ophelia had been truly excited to see where he lived, she wanted to know everything about him. But as their journey had gone on Ophelia had felt strange things. She felt like something was different, some instinct was telling her that something new and strange was happening to her.
Her body was undergoing a flurry of change and she could feel it all but she didnt understand any of it. She began to contemplate what was happening to her. She was confused, when suddenly it struck her. It was as if her instincts had realised that they had not informed their host of their mission and thus stopped to inform her. Oh My...I'm pregnant!!
Ophelias first reaction was excitement and she wanted to run up to Pathos and tackle him and nuzzle him, Well actually the first reaction was shock but thats unimportant. She indeed almost ran and tackled Pathos but she began to meditate on just what the consequences of such news were. She was unmarried, and well obviously not alone anymore. She didnt even know if Pathos really loved her, what if she was just the flavor of the week?! As each thought burrowed deeper into her psyche she became more and more withdrawn and quiet.
When she heard Pathos speak she she came out of her inner shell and tried to act as if nothing was wrong. She could not let him know about her little ones, not yet. She looked at what he was motioning towards and saw the cave that was his home. It was a medium stone structure, almost completely hidden by moss and various plants that grew around it, it was like something out of a fairy-tale. Her eyes widened in happy surprise.
"Wow, is this really your home?" Ophelia gasped as her eyes drank in the natural life that seemed to decorate to passage and just beg to be investigated and tested for edibility. "Pathos your home is beautiful!"

With his ears perking up, Pathos danced around Ophelia in such a joyous mood. She likes it!!! She really likes it!! If a female likes the males home, usually it's a good sign that she won't turn away from him. In short, this was extremely good news for lil 'ol Pathos. Nudging her gently, he wanted to scoot her into his home immediately so he could steal her away forever. "Let's go inside Miss Ophelia!" he said ecstatically. He was extremely eager to show her what awaited them on the inside. Usually, most fafners turn away once they see the front of the house. As a result, Pathos has to pressure them to come INSIDE the house since it is a whole new world.
As they wandered into the cavern, a natural light source was revealed from various key points in the ceiling. It seemed as if the holes were fafner-made in order for a comfortable living without the use of torches since it would damage the outside of the cave. A small ways ahead, the cavern branched off into four tunnels: food supply aka kitchen, bedroom, pond, and the garden. Pathos is an avid fan of food, so when he has time, or finds something exotic during his patrols, he carries a small sack with him so he could bring it home for tasting. The pond was fafner-made long ago when Pathos was in his "digging stage". In order to keep his home from leaking, he had to find stones large enough to plug the hole that allowed the water to rush through. Since he wasn't fast enough, Pathos earned himself a new pond where he cultivates small fish from Lake Attila. It saves him the time of asking a hunter to nab some fish for him.
The next room is a personal favorite of his. The garden was a reminder of the entire Isle of Andvari. He does not hate any of the clans and wishes for them to be united. He would protect any clan since he feels it's his duty as a sentinel. How can he be selfish and just protect his own clan? No, that was not in Pathos's heart. Because of this, the seeds he collected for this miniature garden symbolizes the unity of the isles.
Last but not least, is his bedroom. With in it lives his oath, written along the walls.
I am Pathos, and as a Sentinel of Attila: I shall protect the weak and the needy. I will never abandon my people. I shall fight until my very last breathe. I am Pathos, the protector of all.
Despite a tragic childhood, he made sure his promise to himself was set in stone... literally...
Looking back at Ophelia, he told her,"You're welcome to visit any room you please." His only hopes were that she wouldn't become too overwhelmed.

Ophelia only managed to tear herself away from the beautiful scenery because she knew it was so close at hand. But she did make sure to note interesting areas of the rock face to come back and taste the moss later. She could tell that most of it was lichen and she had honestly always wondered if it was tasty. Most herbivores ate the stuff but she had never tried it.
Once she entered she was fascinated by the way the cave was lit. There was no lighting at all, it was all based off of holes in the roof and sometimes the walls, all in strategic places and all doing their job fairly well. It gave the cave a kind of magical apperence. It was like walking through a forest at dawn with the sun filtering in through the trees.
As Pathos invited her to check out any roomshe wished Ophelia automatically headed for the kitchen. But before she could quite enter the strong smell of water hit her and made her curious. Water? But not only water, there is alot...inside??? Ophelia went to peek into one of the rooms and was completely surprised to see a pond!
"You have a pond in your dwelling cave?!" She asked in surprise. She could honestly say she had never seen that before. She came closer to the pond just to make sure it was real and saw fish inside of it. FISH!!! she started to laugh and smile.
"Oh, my dear Pathos, you are definately an interesting fafner. To have a pond with fish in your cave." She couldnt help laughing, she had never seen such a thing, and the idea was hilarious to her. She hoped she wasnt being rude and tried to stop laughing for formalities sake but the laughter never left her eyes as she gazed upon the glassy surface of the pond.
She went over to Pathos and stared at him loving ly before nuzzling him as she passed him in the doorway. She smiled and once again headed for the kitchen, she hadnt realised just how hungry she was and at the moment she was bordering ravenous.

As Ophelia waltzed toward the kitchen, Pathos trailed behind, hoping she didn't mind food from near and afar. She seemed like the one who had a love for food, but then again, she could be rather picky. Drawing towards the end of the passage, a wide range of aromas filled the air. Pathos smiled hoping to see a rather excited Ophelia as he could see his storage of food growing as they walked closer to the room.
Before he left on his mission to find Miss Ophelia, Pathos had just restock the room with a variety of food found near the lake such as water chestnuts, watermelons, even some lemon grass that can regrow right in his cave. However, despite his new stock of food, his favorite collection happened to be nuts with his price possession being macadamian nuts. Each morsel was a sweet buttery sensation in his mouth. They were to die for!
Zoning back to what Ophelia was doing, he stood upright as he said, "Well you're welcome to help yourself to anything you'd like. You must be starving from only eating pears..." he said drifting off as his own belly grumbled. As good as their breakfast was... pears were not filling in anyway whatsoever.

As the various scents made their way into Ophelias nose she began to salavate. She was starving!!! She could feel the little lives growing inside of her and eating all they could. She felt the need to eat constantly and though Pathos hadnt seen it when she was in the higher branches she had eaten almost any pear in her path!
"Oh starving doesnt begin to cover it," Ophelia said with a smile as she began to make her way to the more filling foods. The various grains and heavy food were where she started. She didnt want to seem like such a pig so she tried to eat only...well medium portions. But Pathos had so much food, even when she got a little greedy (right around the watermelons and peaches) her eatingseemed to make only the smallest dent. She was impressed.
"Wow Pathos you have so much food!!" Ophelia managed to exclaim around her last mouthfull of water chesnuts. She was full, for the moment, and as her senses came back to her and she realised just how much she had eaten she felt a little guilty.
"Oh dear Pathos, you must think I'm so rude, I ate so much food!" Ophelia stared at the floor and felt so embarassed, she almost wanted to cry.

Staring at how Ophelia ate, Pathos wondered how she managed to stay fit. Although she was making her way through his entire storage, he thought Ophelia looked especially cute when eating. She seemed to have this adorable baby face as she shoved food in her mouth, causing her cheeks to become plump. Unable to handle her cuteness for another second, Pathos walked towards her and hugged her.
"I don't mind Miss Ophelia. I told you before, you can help yourself to anything! Even in massive quantities!" he said chuckling a bit before he heard her sniffles. Widening his eyes, Pathos held her closer and rocked her back and forth. He never wished to cause her sadness. Now he took wanted to buckle down and cry for not being able to comfort her. "Hey... don't do that.... You'll make me cry too..." he said in an itsy bitsy baby voice. Who knew Pathos could be so sensitive?

Ophelia heard Pathos' voice change, she didnt want him to cry. She nuzzled up closer to him and sniffed back her tears.
"No dont worry I wont cry, I'm sorry I guess I just didnt think I had eaten so much. I promise I dont eat this much all the time, please belive me." Ophelia hoped he would leave it at that. She still felt a bit uneasy about telling him exactly why she was eating so much. She wanted him to love her because of who she was, not what was inside her. She nuzzled closer to Pathos again and caressed his neck.
"Well my dear you never really gave me a tour of all your rooms here, come on I want to hear the story of how you ended up with a lake back there, and you still have to show me the other rooms. I really like your cave, and I adore you, so I want to know more, about both." Ophelia gave Pathos a happy smile but soon after winced slightly. It was more out of surprise than anything else, she had felt something move inside her...yes thats right move!
Well it was a definate now, she had life in her belly. She looked down at her belly for a second before realising that pathos had noticed her wince. She had to cover her tracks and so she looked at him and smiled apologenicaly,
"Well I guess I might have eaten too much, my stomach seems to be a little rebelious today." She smiled again and wondered if he would buy the excuse. Well she had eaten prabably as much, if not more than a small family of fafners so it was not a completely far fetched excuse. She stood up and waited for him to take the lead and start to show her around, hoping it would stop him from meditating on what had happened. After all she had eaten like a house and she was having phantom stomach pains, he might start to piece together what had happened to her and she didnt want that to happen.

Tilting his head a bit, Pathos wondered why Ophelia's tummy would want to rebel against her. Deciding it was wise not to inquire more about it, he chuckled and nodded. "You're right! I haven't shown you the rest of the house! Well there are only two more rooms left: The garden and where I sleep." As Ophelia commented on her admiration for his home and her curiousness for the indoor pond, he smiled... until she mentioned that she also adored him as well.
Blushing as the made their way to the garden, he sputtered out, "We... well... You see when I was young... I er... loved to dig? Other fafners called it my 'digging phase'... Anyway, since I loved to dig... I would even dig in my sleep! So I guess one night I just clawed away and well... water woke me up.... Had to plug the hole some how.... It was just a giant mess! Since my parents are gone, I just left the room alone and went to theirs..." he said as he trailed off. He felt very bitter about what his parents had done to him... When he had no choice but to move to their room, he decided to remodel it with random oaths carved along the walls. Indeed he was a strange fafner, and it may scare Ophelia sooner or later...
Gazing back at Ophelia, he wondered what her favorite flower was... It certainly was a way to get his mind off the past. Soon, a variety of aroma filled the air. None of them were very overpowering, and they all seemed to blend into a new, yet exotic fragrance. Despite Pathos being a top notch sentinel, he did have a soft spot for nature. It was also another way to remind himself of the lands he has visited from the past. Nevertheless, it seemed Pathos also had a bit of a green paw...

Bandit grinned and snuck around in unknown territory. Now that he had grown into a 'handsome young child' his father said, who was unfaithful to his mother and had recently switched to his step-mother who was indeed pretty, he could explore even more as long as he was back for dinner. Sir Bandit figured that if he wasn't back for dinner his father would alert everyone on the island until he was found. So yeah, he'd be back for dinner. Anyway, back to the present. He had wandered into a slight clearing with a rather large house. He wasn't quite sure what clan he was in until he let out a sniff that couldn't be heard. "Hum...Attila. With a hint of Bynhild." He nodded to himself, no doubt some boring adults. Although one of them did smell a bit...well... he wasn't quite sure what it was. She smelled different that was for sure, different from what he was used to smelling in females. Not lacking his myschevious air he raced forward and knocked on the door and then skipped around the corner of the house.

Bounding ahead of his uncle Cera, Crescent made his way towards Pathos's home. Even though Cera growled at him to not stray away too far from him, Crescent didn't care. He was only a fluff after all, one cannot expect them to listen to anyone. The further he bounded, the more excited he was. He was free finally, free to roam away from Brynhild and his various siblings.
Such thoughts made him smile until he stopped abruptly in his tracks. Who is that! thought Crescent. Cera never mentioned a purple doofus being around Pathos's home. Nope, Cera only mentioned two white pelted adult fafners. Instead, Crescent was disappointed to see a purple fafner hiding for some reason. To cease his disappointment, Crescent thought of grand idea to hop on this fafner's back to interrogate him. Bounce, hop, thud... Success! He made it on top of the puny fafner. As he made a firm stance on top of his conquest, he bellowed, "Whatchaaaa dooooooooooing?" he asked innocently.

Bandit growled menecingly. With his teeth barred he twisted around in an expert battle move until he was the one on top. Hissing a bit he noticed that this was simply a puny little fluff. Scoffing he took a step back and looked disappointedly at the fluff. "I thought you were Cera, I know he's here." A small smile formed at the edge of his mouth. "I was exploring the forests, practicing my hunting, apparently it did some good huh?" Picking up the teeny little guy by the scruff of his neck he padded back into veiw. "Hey Cera." He said with a warm smile, setting down the fluff. "This yours?" He asked with a frown, he didn't think Cera was the type who would want to settle down, he thought he was a free warrior like him.

Justine was hoping about the clearing doing all she could to learn as much as possible. She always heard people talking about how short life was and how everyone needed to take advantage of it. So thats what she was doing. But unfortunately for the little fluff, it wasnt going too well. She really needed a guide, because well when you see things for the first time and you have no name for them...well they tend to stay mysterious.
"hmn well this must be a green thing..." reasoned Justine as she examined a particularly large fern branch. She had been wandering for hours and was examining the plant life when she suddenly heard the sounds of tussling. I wonder who that could be? Justine didnt know how far she had gone but the sounds of life kept her intrigued so she moved towards them. She found two young fluffs like her, one purple, a little older and the other seemed to be blue. Man that purple one is such a bully Justine thought to herself as she saw what happened and stepped out of the bushes bouncing towards them.
"Good afternoon fellow young ones," she smiled and turned to face the purple one, "Well seeing as how this blue next to me is a living being I dont belive he can be ownd, unless your into slavery...are you into slavery? Because if you are I would have to report you to the proper authorities." Justine huffed and took on her most important and proffesional looking face. She hoped she had gotten it right, she had only ver heard about slavery briefly but her father made it seem like it was a big thing, maybe it would work as an idle threat.Ophelia followed Pathos into the garden area, she noticed the blush in his cheecks and it made her blush as well. She listened to his digging story with interest, and was surprised to hear that he too had lost his parents. She wondered for a while about how he had lost his parents, his voice had changed so sudenly when he mentioned them. It went from a cute stutter to a bitter and tired tone. She tried to figure out if they had died or left, in the end she assumed they had died in some accident. She couldnt fathom why anyone would leave Pathos. It just wasnt something that parents did.
Ophelia smiled and laughed softly, "Well a digging phase, I havent ever heard of that before. Andi and I were always working, we would always come home tired and just eat and sleep together." Ophelia smiled as she spoke, true her life hadnt been the easiest, but her and Andi had always managed. Ophelia always looked to the bright side, not just figuratively but litteraly.
She looked out over the small cave and took a deep breath, allowing the aromas tocome to her and bathe her senses. She loved the smell of flowers, her favorite had always been the forget-me-not. The small white or blue flowers had always drawn her attention. She really didnt know why, the flowers had almost no smell, and they were small, but Ophelia found them so beautiful. They thrived all together, in a community of flowers and wonder. Maybe thats what she loved the most, how all the flowers came together, they were never alone, never forgotten...
She shook her head a little as she realised her thoughts had been wandering, she looked out across the cave and spied all kinds of flowers she liked, Lilies, crysanthimums, roses, but she hadnt seen the forget-me-nots. Of course they were not the kind of flower that you could relly point out in a crowd so she decided to ask.
"Wow Pathos you have such a variety of flowers here in your cave, but I wonder do you have a little flower called forget-me-not?"

Bandit growled low and hard. He knew that he would definatly be in trouble with Cera if he asked this fluff to leave. Glaring at the young one he replied, "Of corse not. Slavery hasn't happened for like a hundred years silly." He hissed the word silly as if it was an insult. "I was simply asking if this fluff was his son." Taking a step away from the green fluff and closer to the Cera he asked, "So... is he?"
