Rules (These are clearer if you read the following information prior to the rules.)
oo1. PM me your profile skeleton. oo2. Title your PM with your response to 'Curiousity Killed the Cat'. Be creative, or stick to the saying. Whatever goes. oo3. It is encouraged that you play more than one character. To simplify things, when your cat is in a territory, for your font you should use the color that is displayed on the map for that territory. oo4. No auto-hits. oo5. The amount of apprentices shall not exceed the amount of warriors in any Clan. The amount of kittypets (of any age) joining a clan shall not exceed two per Clan. ShadowClan will not accept kittypets. Kittypets cannot pretend to be clanmembers - their scent is different unless they spend many moons with any clan. oo6. Cats can plot against clan leaders and plot to take over enemy territory. oo7. No fighting OOC. oo8. No exceedingly graphic violence. Blood = okay. Guts = not. oo9. Kits may NOT leave the camp. o1o. Clan leaders/deputies must be chosen by StarClan - meaning you must plead your case to me. You will be responsible for a lot. o11. NO CAT other than the leader, the Medicine cat, and the medicine cat apprentice may visit the Moonpool. o12. Apprentices must start as kits who are 6 moons old, and be CHOSEN by a warrior who PMs me that they would like to mentor you. o13. Literacy is necessary, and your posts should be no less than three sentences. Mine will nearly always be at least three lines long in small font.

Story
Five clans of feral cats share a home around the lake. They will train to become Warriors, break the rules, forge friendships, betray allies, fall in love, and most of all, fight for the Warrior code and for their Clan. This roleplay is based on the books by Erin Hunter, but I have listed all important information so that it is easy for someone who has never heard of the series to understand. I encourage anyone to join and play more than one cat.
StarClan (Wise Ancestors) - the home of the spririts of all cats' warrior ancestors. As each cat dies, they are visited by a member of StarClan, usually a cat they have known before, and taken to join the starbound warriors. StarClan is represented by Silverpelt, the sparkling swath of stars that stretches across the sky. StarClan is made up of cats from all Clans: however, individual cat-spririts retain their old loyalties and watch over cats from the Clans they used to belong to. StarClan warriors communicate with cats in the earthly Clan in their dreams, or when they visit the Moonpool (something reserved for leaders, and Medicine Cats and their apprentices). Clan cats look to StarClan for help and guidance, but ultimately Starclan does not control what happens to the Clans.
ThunderClan (Fierce and Brave) - In peace, respectful of other Clans. In battle, fierce, courageous, and loyal. ThunderClan cats speak out for what is right and are not afraid to challenge the warrior code. The prey they cath are mice, voles, squirrels, the occasional rabbit, and birds such as starlings, magpies, wood pigeons, and thrushes. They have excellent stalking techniques. They keep upwind of their prey, creeping across the forest floor unseen and unheard.
WindClan (Swift and Loyal) - Fiercely loyal, tough, fast-running, and easily offended cats. They are nervous and quick to flee, due to lack of cover in their territory. They take pride in being the closest Clan to the moonpool. Of all the Clans, they have the deepest knowledge of Twolegs from seeing them on the nearby farms. Their main prey is rabbit. Their hunting skills are being fast, lean, and swift. Their short, smooth pelts of typically brown and grays blend in with the rocks and grasses.
RiverClan (Clever and Strong) - Contented, sleek, well fedd, long fur, and glossy coats. They love beautiful things and often collect socks, shells, and feathers for their dens. They do not fear water. Their main prey is fish, but they also eat water voles, shrews, and mice. Their hunting skill is being strong swimmers - they can move silently and scentless through the water. They scoop fish out of the water from the bank - a skill most cats in the other Clans can't master.
ShadowClan (Wily and Proud) - Battle-hungry, aggressive, ambitious, and greedy for territory. It is said that the cold wind that blows across the ShadowClan territory chills their hearts and makes them suspicious and untrusting. Their main prey is frogs, lizards, and snakes that live in their territory. A secret food source is the Twoleg food left behind during Greenleaf. ShadowClan cats hunt by night better than other Clan cats and are skilled at skulking unseen through the undergrowth.
Kittypets may visit in greenleaf (summer) or may wander from their Twoleg nests (human houses). Rogues may threaten the clans. Loners roam and are no danger to other cats.
Trouble picking a Clan? Take the official quiz (under games).

The Map
Twoleg Nest (ShadowClan Territory) - Home to two kittypets.
ShadowClan Camp (ShadowClan Territory) - Well hidden and difficult for enemies to attack. It is situated in a shallow hollow beneath palm trees, with a pool close by so they don't have to go down to the lake every time they need water.
TwoLeg Path (ShadowClan Territory/ThunderClan Territory) - Stay clear of these during greenleaf. Twolegs tramp up and down these paths all season long.
Greenleaf TwoLegPlace (ShadowClan Territory) - Another place haunted throughout greenleaf by Twolegs, who put up small dens and build terrifying little fires here. On the plus side, sometimes they leave behind food.
Greenleaf Twolegplace (RiverClan Territory) - A bees' nest of Twoleg activity during greenleaf! Twoleg kits jump into the lake with loud splashes and shrieks. Some of them can swim like RiverClan cats, but more noisily.
RiverClan Camp (RiverClan Territory) - Safely tucked away on a triangle of land between two streams, this camp is well sheltered from weather and enemy attack, with easy access to a constant source of prey.
The Lake (RiverClan Territory) - Although RiverClan doesn't count the lake as exclusively "their" territory, they are still the only clan comfortable in and around water. It's harder to catch fish here because the fish tend to stay in deeper water toward the middle of the lake, but they're still not short of tasty prey. TERRITORY IS NEUTRAL WITHIN 3 FOXLENGTHS OF THE LAKE.
Island (Neutral Territory during Gatherings) - Every month the Warriors hold a peaceful gathering here. The Island is just off the coast of RiverClan territory, very close to shore. It would be impossible for young cats and elders to swim to, but StarClan made a tree fall across the span of the water. Now the cats use the tree as a bridge to get to the Island every full moon. There they can meet in safety, on neutral, sacred ground.
Horseplace (WindClan Territory) - Hear that thundering? It's the pounding of horses' hooves! Stay on this side of the fence!
TwoLegPlace (WindClan Territory) - The Twolegs here have dogs, so watch out!
WindClan Camp (WindClan Territory) - A shallow scoop in the ground, open to the sky. Unlike other cats, WindClan warriors prefer to sleep out in the open; in really bad weather, they retreat into underground burrows, left by foxes and badgers and shielded from curious passerby beneath a thick barrier of thorns.
The Moonpool Stream (WindClan Territory) - This tumbling stream leads along the edge of the WindClan border and up into the hills to the Moonpool.
Moonpool (Neutral Territory) - This small pool high in the hills above WindClan is surrounded by stone walls and fed by a trickling waterfall. Medicine cats, Medicine cat apprentices, and leaders may drink here to communicate with StarClan who sends them dreams.
Abandoned TwoLeg Nest (ThunderClan Territory) - A good source for prey and an excellent source of herbs. It has an ominous, empty feeling, and seems ready to fall down at any moment.
ThunderClan Camp (ThunderClan Territory) - A symmetrical stone hollow enclosed by towering cliffs of sheer stone left by Twolegs. It could badly hurt or kill a cat to fall down into it. (It's concealed at the top by thorn bushes.)
Sky Oak/Ancient Oak (ThunderClan Territory) - A very tall tree that reaches into the sky. Squirrels are often found here, but it's dangerous for inexperienced cats to climb it. There's an old rabbit burrow beneath its roots.
Halfbridge (ThunderClan Territory) - A peculiar bridge that ends halfway out in the water. It doesn't seem to go anywhere! Twolegs tie their "boats" to it.

Warrior Code/Name Ceremonies
Warrior Code Breakdown (yes, you can break these rules! funfun. your leader'll prolly be angry though...)
1. Remain loyal to your Clan. 2. Follow the rituals: The apprentice naming ceremony , the Warrior naming ceremony and naming the deputy before moonhigh. 3. Feed the clan first. 4. Respect older cats... especially the Elders. 5. Follow your leader. 6. A Gathering is to be held every moon, when the moon is at its fullest. Each clan must be present. When clouds cover the moon the Gathering is over. There is a truce between all the clans, but it is broken when the Gathering is over. 7. A noble Warrior does not kill in cold blood. 8. Kits cannot hunt/leave the camp. 9. Protect your clan with your life. 10. When an apprentice becomes a warrior he must guard the camp overnight on silent vigil. 11. Cats on the way to the Moonpool musn't be attacked. 12. Leaders must go to the Moonpool to recieve their nine lives and name ending in "star" before they can represent their clan at a Gathering. 13. Warriors must have trained an apprentice before they may be named deputy. 14. Medicine Cat Apprentices must travel to the Moonpool before becoming warriors. 15. Cats wishing to share dreams with StarClan may not eat beforehand. 16. Medicine Cats cannot be attacked. 17. Any cat wishing to visit the Moonpool should be granted safe passage.
