The days after their birth, another storm had come and gone, leaving the snow thick upon the ground, but the shelter beneath the large willow tree remained low, but warm, keeping those within safe from the tempests that could rage outside. Ice had formed upon the branches, stabilizing them enough to withstand just about anything mother earth could throw at them. Shihab stirred in his sleep as the space had grown a little crowded with himself, his mate and the baskets that help his knew children. It seemed that his older pair had returned home, for that he was grateful, but there was an extra he had only just met and got to know to be his granddaughter from Andre. She was a pretty as her mother and Andre himself.
Easing himself out from behind Adelle, Shihab stepped carefully past his children whom laid here and there beneath the tree, he was surprised that it sheltered then all. At the rate his family was growing, they would need a bigger dwelling for large gatherings. Passing through the loose branches, he stepped out into the early dawn, there he stretched his wings to the skies and took to and easy rising glide, once and a while beating his wings to keep going higher, higher over the lands. While rising, he looked down toward the white below, all that white would soon be green and his children would grow and prosper and all that good stuff.
For now he set in to greet the dawn as always... Before his mate declared that they were once again having children.

Adelle was glad that her children were all home. Del'nal was still a very lively mare and Andre was still caring. His daughter...her granddaughter she finally got to meet for the first time. She was as beautiful as Andre and his mate. Though she still had yet to actually meet her mate. Raising her head she looked over her children and grandchild but failed to see Shihab. Where had he gone? She slowly and quietly stood up careful to not disturb anyone and walked out from under the tree.
The mare looked to the skies as that's where her love most loved to be. She wanted to join him but knew she had responsibilities on the ground to tend to. Granted the oldest children were here but she didn't want to burden them with watching their younger siblings. They were her children and she would be the one to care for them. Adelle spotted her love flying in the sky and thought the sight to be quite remarkable. She watched him soar and glide in the morning light still ever wishing to join him.

Stirring just a bit, Andre opened his eyes a little as he felt a disturbance under the tree where the growing family was sleeping under. His sight a bit blurry, he watched his mother get up and venture out past the icy walls, though he just laid his head back down to sleep. It was much too early for him to rise and shine. He had lost sight in the greetings to the dawn stuff his father had taught him while he was young. He too was a father and right now, he was still tired from the flight the day before to get home to see his parents. So for now, Andre was more determined to sleep then fly with his father. The disturbances didn't go unnoticed as Wica had awaken and watched her grandmother wander away from her sleeping spot, where she and Grandpa had fallen asleep near some curious looking structures. Tilting her head, she stood and stepped away from where her father was sleeping and followed out behind Adelle. Stopping just about half way out, she looked toward the skies toward where Shihab was flying. He look handsome, to her mind up there, but then again, she loved her grandparents. Venturing out farther she stepped up beside her grandmother.
"Gram, what's Grandpa doing up there?" she asked watching Shihab. "Has he gone crazy or something? Or is it that he likes dancing in the morning light?" Her head tilting to one side as her father hadn't spoken her her family's traits of being sky dancers.

The snowy mare sighed as she watched her love dancing in the morning light. She became lost in thoughts for a few moments as she watched her love. Oh how she wanted to join him. She was just itching to fly in the morning sun with him. At the sound of her granddaughter's voice she brought herself back down from her thoughts but stayed silent. She didn't quite want to break her peaceful quiet just yet so she remained silent for a few moments.
As she continued watching Shihab in the sky she finally spoke to Wicapi. "No. Your grandfather isn't crazy." She said with a small laugh. He was crazy enough to have fallen in love with her that's for sure. "He greets the morning sun almost every morning. When he flies in the light it almost seems like he's dancing. Though he dances alone on this morning." Adelle sighed sadly as she turned to look over at her granddaughter. "So no he is not crazy my young one." Another small laugh left her mouth as she tried to hide the fact that she wanted to join him.

Craning her neck to the side, Wica watched her Grandfather as he dove and swooped, soared and flipped about the skies. She had quite easily he gone crazy, her father had said something about it, but she had just looked at him oddly and shook her head denying it. But now that she had seen it all with her own eyes, she couldn't see her grandpa being crazy at all. Though there were many questions on her mind, like what were the baskets for, and things like that. But for the moment she watched Shihab in the skies, her own wings itching at her sides. She was truly of the wind side of the family, though she was part earth bound from her mother's side. She loved both, but loved to fly more then anything.
"I wish my friend would fly like that with me." She said softly thinking to Axel, whom she had grown quite attached to the past month or so. "Then again, he doesn't like to fly all that much, mainly walk. Says he's a lone flier. Party pooper he is." She said mainly to herself with a small giggle of a laugh.
Dipping to one side, he glanced down towards the ground, where he could see his mate and his granddaughter watching him. Raising to the cloudless skies, he turned toward the sun, that was now pulling itself high over the mountains in the distance. It would soon be a great day, with the family around, though he hadn't seen his son's mate or his grandson about. Perhaps they weren't going to show. Mentally shrugging to himself, Shihab dipped a wing tip and set into a glide toward the ground. Once his hooves had once again found the ground, he folded his wings and walked over toward the winged beauties, though he considered all his children and grandchildren beauties, cause they were.
"Well good morning my dears." He greeted them, before giving them both a nuzzle. "Have the others risen yet?" he asked looking back toward the enclosure they had slept in, he guessed not, pity and it was such a great morning too.

'Wiggle wiggle shake!' The basket started hopping bumping into Del and Andre. Whatever was in the basket wanted out. Feeling the bump against her Del opened her eyes slightly and groaned. "Just a few more minutes!" she complained. After some more bumps she raised her head and looked over at the basket. "Mom! The basket is moving! Why is it moving!? Save me!!" the starry mare yelled as she quickly leaped to all fours and backing away from the 'possessed' basket. Adelle smiled at her granddaughter before turning her attention over at Shihab when he landed. "Good morning my love." She softly said nuzzling him. "You looked beautiful up there. Perhaps I'll be able to join you once more in the future." She nuzzled his neck again but turned her attention quickly over at her panicking daughter. "Del? What's wrong?" the worry was in her voice as she looked over the scene. Spotting the moving basket she realized now what the problem was. "Oh dear. Shihab, I think the little ones want out."

Still groggy, and wanting to sleep in more, it was still rather early to his mind. But once something bumped into him, he just about jumped and his sister's screams didn't help matters as she had bumped into him next sending Andre stumbling sideways. Startled and not very confused, he wondered what he hell was going on. Shaking the sleep from his head, Andy looked toward what had caused the upstart. A basket? A moving basket? He hadn't seen one of them since his own were born not so long ago.
"Del, calm down. It's only a basket." Andre said trying to calm his sister. "There must be a young life in it, that must be why it's moving."
Turning her head, Wica heard the commotion within the shelter, soon turning and darting over and poking her head in. Eyes growing wide she watched the basket wobble and shake, wondering what could possibly have been within it to make it do that. Raising her head, Wica looked over toward the other two baskets, wondering if they were moving as well... It seemed that way.
"What's going on? Is there something within those things? Or is this some sort of trick?" Her head tilts to the side before she walked over to her father.
Shihab followed the girls back to the tree and looked in over their shoulders, a smile coming to him as the baskets had indeed started to wiggle after so long of rest. He watched one that looked much like his own silver bell as it wiggled over and startled his own first children. The others were moving as well, though slowly. It was a occasion that he wouldn’t miss for anything, even if he was in the back row, sorta speak.
“Well now, it seems that the youngsters have life and ambition.” Shihab chuckled as he looked on.
Stepping over toward one that looked like snow was falling from a black sky he nudged it a little. Encouraging the little one to wiggle with all its might and break free, though there was always the looming feeling of age. About just a year before his first were born and now three more came to join the ranks…
