"What a great day!" Was the mood Audric had woken up with in the morning. The sun was shining bright, he didn't have any major projects for school, and all his grades were fair. His classes had all gone by normally or even a little better than normally. And he'd actually remembered to bring his lunch money with him so he wouldn't have to make the treck from the cafeteria to his room.
The lunch room was crowded like usual, but most of the students chose to eat outside in the garden so it was never really that packed. After spending forever in the line deciding what he wanted, Audric finally sided with some rice balls and a bag of candy. The lunch of champs! Wanting to escape the rush of students between the plastic seats, Audric chose to eat outside. But as he was carrying his tray along a stone path towards some benches, Audric tripped on an uneven part of the ground and went falling to the ground; hard.
"My glasses!" Audric yelped.

Chewing on her sandwich - she had decided that she wanted a 'commoner' lunch today - Mitsuko glanced around the cafeteria, hoping to spot any of her friends. To be honest, the girl wasn't looking for anyone in particular - just for one of her friends, or an acquaintance at least.
Frowning slightly as she spotted no one, she walked outside, scanning the benches. It was then, that she heard a very familiar thump of someone falling - but for once, it wasn't her doing the falling.
Concerned, she looked around until she saw the boy who had fallen, down on the ground. Hastily, she hurried over, almost tripping over her own feet in the process. "Ah, are you okay?" Without waiting for an answer, she reached down and tried to pull the other student to his feet, before blinking, startled.
"Your...glasses?"

As Audric gradually regained himself after the fall, a few things became apparent. First, his riceballs were now spread out all over his clothes. Second, his chin, forehead, and hands hurt pretty bad and Audric was more than certain they were all stratched up. And third, the worst, his glasses were broken. What remained of them consisted of a crocked frame and some shattered glass.
But before he could dwell on this any longer, there was a girl by his side already helped him to his feet. She looked vaguely familiar, but Audric couldn't place a name with her face. Not to mention that her face was now blurry.
"Man, look what I did." Audric said, tapping his free hand on his head in a joking way.

A small frown spread over the girl's face as she took in the broken glasses, and Audric's stratched up chin, forehead, and hands. Reaching out, she pat some of the rice off of his clothing before sighing, and offering him a grin. "Don't worry, I fall all the time. I think I'm the resident klutz around here."
Looking at the boy curiously, Mitsuko realized that she did happen to recognize him - from the Halloween party, wasn't it? Still, it had been a pretty brief meeting, and she hadn't had the time to exchange names. "I'm Takara Mitsuko, but you can just call me Mitsuko." She introduced herself, cheerfully. "What's your name?"
Looking at the boy's hands again, she gave a little shake of her head, her doctor instincts rearing up. "Come on, we should get you cleaned up. You didn't seem to cut yourself deeply or anything, so that's good." She looked down at the pair of broken glasses again, "Do you have spare glasses, maybe?"
This girl certainly talked a lot, didn't she?

Audric was extremely embarrassed about his fall, but having someone else helping him made some of it go away. When the girl lifted her hand and tried to shake off some of the rice, Audric joined her. Some of it was really caked in, but besides for those few pieces he was clean. "Glad to know I won't be receiving any titles!" He said, trying to brighten the situation.
"Takara Mitsuko?" Audric repeated, looking the girl straight in the face for the first time. The situation had been so hectic up until now he hadn't actually looked at her face. She looked a little familiar, but Audric couldn't remember at the moment where he would have met her. "Oh! I'm Audric Laurent, but you can just call me Audric." He said finally, realizing he had just been staring at her.
After Mitsuko asked Audric about some spare glasses, he froze. Nothing like this had ever happened to him before, so he wasn't sure...Oh no! He did have another pair, but...but...they were this pair that his parents had made him wear when he was younger to a picture. They were pink with little yellow flowers on the corners. "Umm, yeah, I guess..." Audric managed to say, still mortified. "They're in my room." He said. Audric brought them simply because they reminded him of his childhood.
Well, he would only have to wear them for a little while. Just until he could see enough to go down the street and buy some black ones.

Grinning, Mitsuko shook her head with amusement. "I think I've already earned all the titles that have anything to do with hurting myself, falling, or just doing something silly in general, so yup. You don't have to worry about any unwanted titles." She may have been exaggerating, but it was true that she was a complete and utter klutz. Her friends would always be watching out for her, especially if she was forced into wearing heels by her maids.
Mitsuko + heels = many injuries. Not all of these injuries would be her own, either. Though she never meant to, Mitsuko often poses as a threat to her fellow schoolmates.
"Mmhm! And it's a pleasure to meet you, Audric-kun." She chirped, used to adding -kuns and -chans to the ends of others names. "We met briefly at the Halloween party, didn't we? I was the one who was an angel." She distinctly remembered those wings getting in her way that night. It was a rather nice costume...it was just painfully hard to move in.
Nodding, the girl tugged on Audric's sleeve, smiling. "Lets go get them then, shall we? We can't have you walking into walls all day." She laughed, before adding, "Walking into walls is my job."

Audric laughed as Mitsuko listed off all her titles to him. She seemed like a very funny girl. Anyone who can laugh at themselves is good in Audric's book. That was definitely all Audric could do in this situation.
Audric was taken back when Mitsuko called him Audric-kun. He knew this was something people commonly did in Japan, but no one had done it to him yet. But he didn't mind. In fact, it sounded downright cute. Since Audric wasn't sure when it was proper to add which ending, he just stuck to using names. "That's it! The Halloween party. I know I'd met you somewhere." Audric said successfully. It was killing him that he couldn't remember where he'd seen her. "I was...um...well I had a cat mask on." Audric laughed. His costume had been completely random. He actually still had it tucked away in a drawer somewhere.
"Oh, I certainly wouldn't want to put you out of a job." Audric joked as he led Mitsuko towards his dorm. Or, what he thought was the direction of his dorm. Without his glasses, the other students and trees looked like one big blur. It wasn't until he tripped over a stair did Audric recognize where he was. The stair, which he tripped over regularly, was only a short distance from his dorm. "This way." Audric said, motioning lightly with his arm.

"I'll just lucky people around here are so tolerant of me," She admitted, smiling sheepishly, "When you think Ouran, most people think stuck up rich kids. Really though, everyone I've met here has a good heart." Mitsuko truly believed that - she just knew that many of the students here tended to hide their kindness behind masks that they were trained to wear.
Grinning, the girl stifled a giggle and nodded. "Right, I remember you! You told me I had a nice costume - thanks for that." She chirped, "I was rather happy with the costume, but...remember those torches that were around at the time? I had a few close calls where my wings were a liiiittle too close to the fire." If her wings really were to set on fire, chances were that she'd be completely oblivious to it until someone around her informed her that she was no longer just an angel, but a flaming one.
"I would be very upset if you did," She said, her voice mock-serious. After another second, the smile spread over her face again, and she laughed, shaking her head. She opened her mouth to say something, when Audric tripped over the step. Instictively, she reached out to grab his sleeve, blinking. "That reminds me - how well can you see right now, without your glasses?" She asked, a small frown spreading over her face. While she was completely careless when it came to herself, her doctor-instincts always kicked in when she was around friends or other classmates.
Looking up as he motioned, the girl grinned and shook her head lightly. "But it seems that even without your glasses, you know your way around pretty well!"

"You know, I was a little worried about how the other students would be when I first came here, but you're right. Everyone's so nice it's hard not to be liked." Audric said, nodding. Never once had anyone treated Audric poorly; even the teachers were nicer than he thought they would be.
Audric laughed and smiled as he remembered Mitsuko's costume. It was very adorable and suited her absolutely perfectly. "Oh, that was nothing! It was the truth after all." Audric said, blushing at her thank-you. Her next comment turned his face even redder, but this time from laughter. It was a scary situation, but even Mitsuko had to admit it was also pretty funny. "You were on fire that night!" He joked lightly.
"Don't worry, you won't be out of a job anytime soon. I'm gonna make sure this doesn't happen again!" Audric said, laughing. From now on Audric was going to glance at the ground every once and a while. Audric silently thanked Mitsuko that she was there to watch over him when she grabbed his sleeve as he tripped. "Um, well," He said, looking up at Mitsuko, "I can tell you have two eyes!" Poor Audric just wasn't blessed with good vision.
"I probably would have walked us around in circles if it weren't for that step." Audric said, which was the truth. It was little things like that that stuck out the most to Audric for some reason, the little details.
