In the blood of the old gods, they were forged. Embedded with strength, cursed with prophecies, and blessed with near immortality. When the world forgets itself they would be summoned, the very earth itself would groan and heave to let them out and find release from chaos.
There must be an order. There must be law. ~ from the last remaining scroll of D'Ante
Dracotaur are dragons from the depths of the planet. The world itself made these creatures eons ago before the time of even the Unitaur and Naga. When the old gods left the world, they never really parted but buried their souls deep within the ground. Many many fathoms down, they became volcanic ash, rock, and most importantly... molten rock. Their bodies became a great layer of molten rock and it is said volcanoes are the result of the planet's raw power.
Dracotaur are bound to the earth and are highly attuned to certain natural elements. Males have an affinity for Earth, Wood and Fire magic and their female counterparts have an affinity for Metal, Wind and Plants. Both sexes may share Water magic.
A Dracotaur's Views on Other Races:
Centaur - The humblest among them, they are closest to the earth.
Cattaur - Somewhat arrogant, but tolerable. They assume too much at times.
Cervitaur - Eager for knowledge and the hunt but too impatient to attain it. Perhaps it's their short lifespans.
Foxtaur - Childlike souls, no matter their age. Their mischievous nature makes for a good Story.
Wolftaur - Their competitive nature is intriguing. As individuals they are thoughtful, as a pack they are powerful.

Harpy - They are like dusk and dawn. Between the worlds of earth and sky.
Satyr - True muses. They will always be welcome in our cave.
Unitaur - Directionless and lost in their dreams of times forgotten.
Naga - Directionless and lost in their desire for possession of everything.
