The way to save a lot of money on flowers is to buy flowers that are in season. Here is a list of flowers and the seasons they are found in.I'll try to continue to update this list by providing a picture of each flower for all of the seasons. :3 It might take a while.

Being is several Orchid clubs localy myself I think you should give them a thought.


They arent very expensive and you can have a certified nursery mail them to you. (so you don't have to worry about crossing state lines with plants and going through quarentine.

Which reminds me, you can buy whole plants in bud(meaning you get the plant: bud-stem and plant in the pot all still attached to each other in healthy condition). This is so that you order them early, and have live plants blooming on every table at the reception as a nice give away momento.(besides if the plant dies in thier care atleast they had some nice flowers to take home.)

Or you can just order the flower stems in bud. This is a common practice.

Different Orchids bloom in different times of the year, but there is allways something blooming. THat is exept for Winter. You'll be hardpressed to find an Orchid Show in winter. THt is to say November through January.
