Nothing good lasts forever, and even as artists we experience a cyclic pattern in our create surges. Sometimes I can go weeks without producing anything I like, or just get frustrated and take a break. But naturally, nothing bad lasts forever either! Something always puts the inspiration back into me and keeps me going. What do you do to get over an art block?

A fresh change of tools usually helps biggrin In fact... (barring the guild photoshoot =P) I'm waiting on my tablet PC so I can tackle the 100 themes challenge head-on 3nodding
Other than that, a fresh change of music helps greatly as well 3nodding

I just give it time, i haven't found anything that helps me with art blocks. So just time, i try to draw now and again, if i can't then i just wait again. I also have a hard time going from drawing people, to animals, or still life.

I had a major block not long ago. It last for just a little more than a month, it was horrible. sad
I got out of it, by watching some of my old shows or movies that i used to watch as a kid. Got me back to my roots of why i like cartoons so much, and stuff just poured out of my head. Sometimes, i'll play games with myself, like i use to play pretend as a kid. Yes, it looks ridiculous to imagine a 24 year old playing pretend, but it helps to be creative again.

Well I've been in a block for about a year and half or so. I'm finally getting out of it. I think its been a combo of music, some life changing events, and going for walks with my dog is working so far. ^_^
