Moreen's eyes scanned the room surrounding her over her thick glasses. So, this is what her parent's meant by 'arrangements'. A stray hand pushed her glasses further up the bridge of her nose as she wandered down the hall, inspecting every detail with a critical eye.

To most people, the house that Moreen was provided with could be considered magnificent. Upon entry, is a wide lobby, large winding stairs leading in two directions to the floor above. To the left was a door to the dining area and further is the kitchen. to the right is a room to a living room, decorated with a large television, and an equally powerful stereo.
If one was to take the stairs on the right, they would find a large hallway with about four other rooms, each equipped with their own bathroom and guest living quarters.
If one was to take the stairs to the left, they would find a large practice room, filled with a library of musical pieces for one to choose from, and even some spare instruments in the closet. Further down the hall, they would also find a library ranging from all sorts of subjects.

Even though Moreen had only been there for two days, she already hated it. She had already sent the familiar maids back to their homes and now wandered around the empty house. Her footsteps echoed down the halls and up the stairs. She wanted to liven things up, break out of the routine of her old home...And she found such the thing: Roommates

So, here she is now, pacing the lobby, her hair pinned up and her glasses catching the glint of the chandelier above. She had pasted posters all over the school stating:

Wanted: roommates

Come as you are. I'll consider all who apply.

Come to 346 Marie ave. at 5:00 for interview.

Be prepared. Entry will not be easy.

Moreen checked her watch. It was 4:45....Stopping her senseless pacing, she waited, wondering if anyone had gotten pass her booby-trapped yard yet. Hopefully no one had trouble with the alligator...

Dear Hoshiko-chan....it sure is lucky I came at 4:30...

A tall female stood about halfway through the front yard, breathing rather heavily. People had always said she was quite strange for her persisting need to be almost ridiculously early for everything, even more so when people advised her to be so. If someone told her to somewhere at 5:00 o'clock, she was there by 4:25. She'd like to hear those people's opinions now.

She moved to wipe away what felt like unnaturally gooey mud from her face, only to spread it across her cheekbone. She was rather disheveled; she could have sworn she had seen an alligator making it's way across the yard earlier. Now, where could an alligator come from? Certainly it was a tad extreme to borrow an alligator from China to guard a front yard. Scaling the wide gate had been simple compared to all else she had seen.

She would have been deterred from even trying to live in this new place, if not for her own intrigued nature. She had been sure to check her directions multiple times before entering the yard. They had told her to be prepared. She had no way of expecting this. Still, it was a much better time than she would have had alone in her suite.

Hoshiko had been begging Aoi to find a new place to stay. Hoshiko refused to believe that staying at a hotel suited her younger sister, and Aoi had to admit that her elder sister was quite correct. So now she was standing in a yard filled with interesting mechanisms designed to keep people out, while people were invited to enter.

Aoi went still, staring at a high tree with a glazed look. Her mouth would have been hanging open had she not learned long ago that it was a horrible habit to have. She stood still for quite a time, simply watching the tree's leaves. A breeze passed through and, after a pause, Aoi's face broke into a large grin. Her violet eyes practically sparked as she yelled, "Thank you!" to the very heavens. She took a sharp left and leaped over a puddle, landing almost gracefully on the other side. Almost.

She stared at a door, blinking once, twice, thrice! She reached out for the handle before stopping, listening to the wind. She nodded and turned back to the puddle, taking in her own reflection. A disheveled girl with mud dripping from her face and half a pant leg missing, lost under a large rock about two yards back. She grinned before tearing the other pant leg carefully, wetting it in the puddle and wiping her face. She then rolled up both her pant legs, managing a seemingly neat pair of capris. She felt obligated to at least look neat for an interview, no matter what trials she had been through to arrive.

She lifted a hand, knocking on the door. "Thank you for a rather fun adventure!" she called, to no one in particular.

Moreen was becoming impatient as she watched the second hand on the clock take it's time. Her pacing had returned and with each small noise that her polished shoes made, she became more agitated. Just when Moreen had enough and tunred on her heel to depart form the lobby, she heard a faint call.

Now, this could mean one of two things: She's finally gone mad or that there's someone at her door.

Hoping that it was the second option, Moreen wrapped both hands around a gold-painted handle and opened the door with a flourish. When her eyes fell on the gril infront of her, Moreen was a tad disappointed. Looking at the girl infront of her with a judging eye, Moreen noted that the pants were probably torn and that the alligator gave her a run for her money...but, other than that, the girl had seem to make to the front door in one piece.

"You're welcome." Moreen replied in a cool tone. "Please, come in. Supper is ready."

Moreen then stepped aside to allow the girl in and to close the door after her. Then, with a small smile, she held out her hand. "It's nice to meet you. My name is Moreen...and you are?"

Aoi nodded at the welcome she received, an interested grin upon her face. Certainly this place was quite a bit different from any other she had ever attempted to find a home in. Not to mention the aura seemed not only warm, but full. She could feel presences moving around the house. It added to the welcoming air. Certainly this place had to be quite a nice place to house so many....well, not quite people.

She bowed rather low, with quite a flourish. "I am excited to be here." she replied, grinning. "But I am Sato Aoi." She gripped the other's hand, shaking it. "I knew that coming so early was an excellent suggestion." she continued. "Your yard was quite a handful." she reiterated.

"I would feel rather guilty if I were late." she admitted. "Especially if I made you delay your meal." She said this before trailing off in her thoughts, looking around carefully. 'You'd find this place awfully large, would you not, dearest sister?' she thought.

"I'm sure you have many applicants," She smiled dreamily, looking around the open room. "Considering the welcoming spirits."
