its not a bad thing. you save money, you have more free time, you know longer have to move your social activities around if they clash.
give it a couple weeks. i garentee it wont be that bad. learn some self relience, that way you can take care of yourself (and it will better your relationships in the future)

You can be dumped a thousand times, and in my opinion it always hurts the same. Hell I felt like s**t even after I got cheated on, like I'm not eve good enough to be faithful too or something.... I dunno, point is you'll always hurt some no matter how good a reason you have to not be glum. Best thing to do in my opinion is treat yourself a little extra special or if this is one of those people who you really love truly undeniable cut your own arm off for them kind of love just so they can be ok kind of love that you just can't say no too... then don't give up! Love is hard to come by, it's a challenge to maintain a good relationship, I've been told quite a few times the girl I'm after isn't interested, thing is I've only known her as a friend for maybe 6 months at most, I don't expect her to be. I like her a lot though and I'm not giving up hope is the thing, just keep being her friend, don't let her know you're a down or glum at all, sometimes you'll find that just being friends with her can drive her just as crazy as it did you... I know someone is gonna hate me for that, but it's true! So, if you really love her, then keep trying; if you're just glum and she thinks you're not worth her time, then go out and party it up... or don't, I went shopping myself, found a lovely coat for $4. mrgreen

Wow i love the third option in the polls. I don't think anyone likes being single though it is what you make it. i am not one who can really talk about the topic since i have only been single. i enjoy it but there are sometimes when it sucks like when you want a cuddle and stuff. I tend to tell my friends to just give it time and real time don't get a new girlfriend like two weeks from now. To quote a song, "Don't worry".

Great point, don't do the bounce back thing and hook up with someone super soon. I didn't start dating dating until I was a senior in high school, heck even then I didn't get my first kiss until my very final semester of school, just a few weeks before prom and graduation... then I dumped her because she lied about cleaning up her act, I DON'T DATE DRUGGIES... nuff said.

I'll be blunt to say im pretty inexperienced. I only started dating my freshman year in high school. My first true relationship ended in 5 months, and i dont know about anyone else, but that was fast. But thats also saying we moved very quickly, the 2nd day we went out i got my first kiss with her, 1st week we um...
Anyway, i think if people move to fast in a relationship, it ends alot sooner. Take your time, if need be, give your lover some space.
It sucks getting out of a reltaionship, very true, but its like the very wise MangaJoe said, it will always hurt no matter how you got out of it.

Before I started dating, I loved being single.... so much less stress, so much less to deal with.... you don't have to worry about anybody else or upsetting them. It's ******** awesome.
Also, I was still in high school and not worried about having a relationship that wouldn't last.
To be honest, from a girl that didn't date 'til she was 18, and has had a serious relationship for three years now... don't worry about having a girlfriend or boyfriend... just let whatever happens happen. You're 15, you don't need to be in a relationship, you should be enjoying your youth (says the resident 21 year old with the mentality of an 86 year old woman).
I actually don't mind being single, I probably enjoy it a lot... other than I'm pretty positive I've found my soul-mate in my boyfriend, Rob... and so I want to get married to him after dating 3 years... at least engaged gonk
When he broke up with me for a bit, I was heart broken over him, wouldn't give up for a month.... but when I wasn't pining away over him, I was like "Hell yes, let me enjoy this." I would check out guys, I'd strut around like I was the s**t and could get anybody I wanted, and I was actually having co-workers try to hook me up with guys against my will, as well as an ex coming back into the picture. So even though I wasn't worried about being single (I was terrified of losing Rob for good) I had tons of options open to me, but I stuck it out and waited for Rob 'cause I knew I'd get him back even when everyone told me I wouldn't.
So in short, I'm the freak who loves being single much more than being in a relationship, other than she loves her boyfriend as he's her soul-mate.

Everyone has made very good points about being single, freedom, alot more time, doing what you want, spare money when you need it (lol)
Its weird though, i dont know if anyone else got the same feeling, and yes im only 15 and i still should be enjoying myself but i love being in relatiosnhips, when i see all my friends and other people with a special someone, it reminds me just how amazing it is to find someone that can truly share themselves with you, as you do for them.
I'm not at all saying being single is bad, i myself very much enjoy being single, but there are so many special things about love. Even if the past relationships ive been in were not true love, being with someone is something absolutley amazing.
