Guild Feedback & Suggestions

The purpose of this thread is to provide a place for all of you to post feedback and suggestions about the guild. I want this guild to be a collaborative place.

What can you post?

  • Constructive criticism
  • Suggestions about changes to the structure of the guild, guidelines, etc.
  • Any other feedback that you think the guild leader and crew need to know about.

Yes we can! What information would you like from members when they introduce themselves.

Hrrrm...me thinks we should have a sticky thingy on like "Invite A Person" where we post a user, and you/crew invite them ^^;;

Im about to make an 'Organically Lifestyle' thread in the LD, so unless i fail miserably, i'll be back with potential members >_>

I don't quite understand. So you post usernames and they get invited to the guild. Are these just random names or people you know who you think would be interested in this guild?

Umm...you make a Sticky named 'Invite A person' and the members post names of people who they think may be interested in joining, NOT random :3

In turn they get an invite...Did i explain that better?

A lot of guilds do that ^^;;

Yeah you did. Set up a thread how you like it and I'll sticky it for you. You seem to have a better grasp of what it needs. [:

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about tidying up the stickies. A lot of the stickies can be merged into one.

I was also looking at the front page and noticed a lot of smaller threads. What do you guys think about having specific stickies dedicated to topics? I know I'd love a central sticky where I can share links that won't necessarily generate a lot of discussion.

What are the thoughts on the many, smaller threads? Are they good? Want something changed?

owo we already have a gardening and farming subforum, how about a wildlife forum? I just love nature and could generate a good three dozen topics in a few days....though I'll limit myself for the sake of modesty...

Ah, sorry for the late reply. (I don't get the new post icon in guilds.)

Great suggestion. Since we are a small guild, I don't want to split it up into too many sub forums. The current subforums get very little traffic and I would hate to add another subforum and have minimal traffic.

Don't feel that you need to hold yourself back. Feel free to make a wildlife thread and add discussion on there. If there's enough discussion on one aspect another thread can be made for it specifically. 3nodding

Something I've been thinking for awhile is that we could use a subforum for documentaries. What do you guys thinks?

I was thinking about a centralized thread. I'm hesitant in creating additional subforums as I don't want to spread out too much. I also don't get notifications about new posts. (Which thankfully is now being looked at.) Not sure how many other people that affects, so I don't want another forum that isn't used because it doesn't look posted in.

If a Documentary subforum was created, what do you think about making the forum guidelines have that all opening posts ensure there's discussable content. I do often see that links to documentaries are posted, but discussion is very limited or quick to die off.

Or, we can still utilize the main forum for posting and once the thread has "died" can be moved to the Documentary subforum for reference. (I'd also make sure that thread titles are descriptive for browsing ease.)

Totally open to the idea. Just want to get it planned out because you can't remove subforums.
