((if anyone wishes to stop by to see the cubs please feel free to ^-^! cubs - feel free to post once you have been born!)) It had been several weeks and though Banda had been upset about the whole situation at first, she felt he had grown to accept it. It was nessecary for her to have cubs, it would look suspicious if she didnt. After all the main reason to have a male around was to bear cubs and strengthen the pride.
The sun petered accross her maw as it rose slowly through the trees. She had taken to sleeping close to the mouth of the den, where the breezes of the jungle could catch her fur and perform it's almost magical cooling powers.
She woke with a start as the sun touched her eyes, but it wasn't the bright light that had woken her it was a stiff kick in her abdomen. "Oof..active this morning." She mumbled wide awake in an instant. Standing wrestlessly she made her way towards the innards of the den she had taken for her and Banda.
Nudging her pale mate, rather too roughly, the lemon yellow lioness spoke in rather pained tones "Banda, Banda somethings wrong I don't know what it is though! The cubs are kicking so hard Banda! What do I do?" She looked at him hopefully her lilac eyes worried, she had no idea it was simply her time to birth.

(( DDD8 Ohmigosh Sry I'm sorry ;; My pm's are completely screwed up and they keep deleting by themselves and Gaia is picking on me D wink )
Banda lay still, maybe if he pretended to be asleep, she would go ask one of her sisters of the queen. They were much better suited to answer such a question, yet guilt welled inside Banda and he raised his head, a confused yawn following.
"I...I'm not sure..." He mumbled, glancing at her stomach. He was already upset it wasn't just he and Gurami anymore, and these cubs were causing her an awful lot of pain. He almost wished they would just disappear, but he knew Gurami would be heart broken to find out her mate didn't want cubs.
"Well, calm down first. Maybe they can tell when you get frazzled. Maybe then it will go away?" Banda smiled encouragingly, hoping to dim Gurami's alarm at least until morning. He knew little about cubs and childbirth, and rarely ever pictured himself as a father. He felt old, and worn out whenever he thought about it.

(I had a feeling you hadn't received the pm I sent one two or three times XD!) Gurami smiled weakly, she didn't think it was anything to do with feeling frazzled. The kicks were so painful. She lay down roughly her ears flattening against her head as she looked up at the orange maned male, her body tenced and sore. "Banda.." She squeeked her claws digging deep in to the soil at her paws. "Banda help! Banda I'm scared.." She trailed as a pain shot down her spine and she panted heavily.
It was with this pain that she realised this wasn't anything normal, she had to calm down, this was it, the time she had been waiting for, the moment when she would bring cubs in to the world. She was frightened and the pain was excruciating but she had to calm.
Rolling on to her side the pale lemony lioness instinctively pushed, her eyes squinting shut. It didn't take long before a small pale coloured cub fell sticky and wet in to the world.

She grabbed for the little pale cub pulling him to her chest so she could groom him clean. "Banda.." she whispered, her pale lilac eyes smiling. "We have a son." She manages grooming him cleann and nudging the tiny soul to her side.

Banda didn't know what to do. Didn’t know weather he should say something, or wait for this ordeal to pass. But when Gurami laid down the ground, he couldn't move. What if she was hurt? He took a step towards his curled up mate, curious if she was alright. A face looked back at him. Small, delicate, new. Banda had a son. A son. He looked just like him, with less orange and purple. Oh but it didn't matter, he had a son! Tempted to go and greet his new "son" (The word still felt strange in his mouth), He knew Gurami needed silence, peace. Banda wondered for a moment if he would be the only one. Liza and koi had been blessed with six, and for a brief moment the orange manned lion felt a surge of jealousy.
"Should I go?" Banda asked cautiously, not wanting to disturb Gurami any further.

"No! Please, please stay!" she whispered her sides aching. She was in pain, there were more to come, more children to come in to the world, their children. "Oh Banda! banda it hurts!" she squeeks her eyes closeing tightly as she once again pushed bringing another cub soggily in to the world.

Letting a shallow breath roll over her lips she pulled the second child to her bussom, grooming him clean, another boy. Would she bear any daughters? Oh she hoped so. It would be sich a disgrace if she didn't. She knew there were more to come though so she relaxed her breathing and waited for the next contraction.

Banda grinned as he saw his next child, his eyes lit up. How bright he was! Well...except the legs. From orange to white, it certainly was a contrast. But nonetheless, it would seem this cub had a promising future awaiting him in the pride. Promising indeed. As for his first born, Banda’s smile softened. His poor son...He looked like his father. It was then that realization kicked in that perhaps Banda had doomed his children. Gurami was so bright, but not every child looked like her. Not only that, but would she bear any daughters? From what Gurami had told him, it was shameful to only have male children.
"Are... you okay Gurami?" Banda stuttered, wondering if he should do anything to help her.

Gurami swallows hard, her soft, pale eyes looking up at the big male. She gave a slow gentle nod, she was tired but she wasn't done yet, she preyed for a girl, she glosed her eyes and a low, painful growl rolled over her lips as she pushed once again.

And at last they had a daughter. She was pale, but it didn't matter to her. Shel let a sigh of releif roll off ehr lips, her soft lilac eyes filled with a smile, though her breath still came thick and fast.

Banda grinned, so much one would have thought he had brought down a elephant! Or something of that proportion. But no, he had a daughter. He had two sons AND a daughter. Oh, he wished so much to name them. Names gave life to the new cubs, gave them an identity. He could tell Gurami was in pain, but didn't want to strain her or bother her by asking more questions.
"Please...let the birth not pain her too much." Banda murmured silently, hoping the small prayer would help in some way ease the hurt she must have been feeling.

Gurami smiled weakly, her breath coming in short gasps,s he could hear Banda faintly though her ears Finally she let out a long gasping breath and their fourth and final cub came in to the world.

Grooming the brightly coloured cub she sighed softly, her eyes hooded and the smile on her maw spreading. "Two girls, two boys." She whispers looking back at Banda.

((hope I can do this now xD))
The world came at her fast. One moment, her dreams were of warmth and a world she could not hear... and then all of a sudden the world she knew left her and she was confused. She opened her purple eyes slowly, gazing at the faces of her family, though they were blurred. She squeaked, her tiny white muzzle nuzzling into her mothers warmth.
She rather liked it next to all the warm others. She smiled and squeezed in between her two brothers for comfort. She wasn't really that hungry. She simply, rolled onto her back slowly, with her tiny little paws against her chest, and stared up at her mother and father.
Soon, a tiny yawn escaped her mouth and her purple eyes shut.
Moray was born
