...Get so into the books that they cried themselves to sleep by the end of the 3rd chapter? I DID! My friend did a LITTLE more damage...cried, screamed, and threw the book and promised not to read anymore (Didn't last long)

I was sobbing, but because it was about noon when I had started reading New Moon, I didn't cry myself to sleep.

I was not sad, I was angry. As soon as Edward left, I started to hate him, because I can relate to what Bella went through.
It annoys me when people read New Moon and just think, 'waaaah, when is Edward coming baaaaack?', and label it as 'boring' just because the 'hottest guy/vampire/angel/god in the entire world' isn't in most of the book. I loved reading Bella's moments with Jacob, and how she was able to show a side of her personality that wasn't shown enough prior to New Moon.
Even to this day I hate Edward for leaving, and I love Jacob for being there when Bella needed help. Yay Jacob~ <3
(Sorry if that was rant-ish, but it's how I feel. I listened to the 'waaaah where is Edwardddddd' conversation between my science teacher and a bunch of Edward fangirls in school not too long ago. It was irritating.)

I cried, screamed, cried some more, and screamed some more. Then I calmed down, reread it, and started crying and screaming again. The reason for rereading it was do to the fact that I usually reread something if I believe that it didn't happen. I did the same with the 5,6, and 7th Harry Potter books.

I agree with you for the most part. I'm not there with you on the I hate Edward bit though. Haha it sucks that you had to listen to those conversations. I had a variation of that when Twilight the movie came out. So many girls saying Robert Pattinson was hot, cute, etc. When I came out and said he has very few angles that would make him look attractive most girls looked at me with a horrified look on their faces. ^^

I personally think Rob Pattinson looks like a dinosaur with a Malcolm in the middle hairstyle.
But that could be just me.
I loved New Moon, until Edward came back in it. But that's because I wanted Jacob to be happy, and he was so willing to be gentle and take time fore Bella.
