Hidalgo couldn't help but sneeze. Spring was starting to flavor the air with all manners of flower scents, and dried grass started peaking it's way through the remaining snow. He had been starting to enjoy the warmer feeling; of being able to actually warm up by the heat of the sun. This was the time of year he loved. Not to warm, not to cold, but it also meant that he itched; horribly. On all the trees in this area, bits of his spotted cream and mud coat hung from bark, branch, and littered the ground where he pulled at itchy clumps with his teeth. He knew that he didn't look his best at all, but no horse did this time of year.

Spring was coming, and Delilah couldn't help but be overjoyed by the thought she could fly without worrying about getting caught in a storm. She wasn't bothered by the changing seasons as much as others were. Maybe it wa sbecause she was smaller? Delilah didn't know, and since it brought no bad fortunes upon herself, she really didn't care to know why.
"Mmmmm," she hummed to herself, walking daintily as to avoid any mud still in the grass. She had swung her long black mane over her back so it did not trail on the ground as much, though her tail was a lost cause. She walked in her normal state, where she was smaller than the average Soquili but not as small as a butterfly. The mare didn't have to dip low to avoid the bramble, but she probably would've given the stallion ahead a headsup if she had brushed against it a little. Her brown eyes caught sight of his biting at himself, and the mare immediatly stumbled back and forced her gaze downward.
"Oh-oh!" She flushed and clenched her eyes shut. She had seen others Soquili bite themsleves before, btu she never found it to be something to make a public event. "My apologies!"

Hidalgo lifted his head, and noticed the retreating black flutter mare. He turned, and gave her a reassuring smile.
No, it's alright. I'm sorry. I didn't hear you coming. Normally, I'm able to hear others sneaking up on me. I guess I must have shedding hair in my ears at the moment. He gave her a lopsided grin, then quickly turning his head and lowering it almost parallel to the groundso he could itch his head below his ear with his back hoof. Then he brought his head back up again.
Sadly, it looks like I'll just have to wait until it falls out I guess. His friendly grin widened, and he perked his ears, nodding to her. My name is Hidalgo. May I please ask your name?
