Meehawk flitted nervously from branch to branch. She didn't like being this far from her territory. In truth she wasn't very far at all, but Meehawk was a nervous kind of Sentinal. She was only a couple hours flight away from her home, away to try to seek a student. She wasn't having much luck. She fled from the slightest sound, thinking it was some kind of lurking monster.

After a while she landed with a sigh, and gently set Mayday down beside her. "Maybe I'm not a very good teacher..." she mumbled, dejected. Mayday tried to help console her. "You are fine teacher, just aren't very good at anything else." he said with cheer, expecting appreciation. Meehawk sighed more deeply and ignored him. "Oh," she said disapointed, turning to look back the way she had come. "I suppose it's time to go back now. My tree might have fallen over or been burned to the ground, I should go check on it." Meehawk stared at her intended path for a moment, not wanting to go back empty winged, without anything to show from her "long journey".

((Sure, no prob. I haven't rp'ed Meehawk yet, so I just wanna see what she does. xd ))

Meehawk started in confusion. A chirop? Meehawk peered behind him. But where was his owner? Who did her belong to? Maybe it was a fledgling's chirop! She might have a possible student to teach! Still, it wasn't very proper to follow a lone chirop. He could be going anywhere! Meehawk stared in suspition, but picked Mayday up with her Will and followed anyway. It was better than nothing, and she did so want a student to teach. Ortal, huh? She tried to weigh whether it was a fledgling's name or not, but couldn't decide either way.

Mayday waved to the other mus, but stayed by his mistress. He didn't want to run off unless he knew the Sentinals around him and their intentions towards Meehawk, he was very well aware that mus were consitered expendable by many.

Meehawk, however, frowned and nodded. Ortal was an adult, not a fledgling at all. No opportunity for students there. Meehawk knew she must be civil, however, and said a polite, "Hello." The shadow seemed nice enought, but she was sure the chirop was not nearly proper enough. Why did he keep saying that she was lost? She would never say any such thing to a chirop, although to tell the truth she was indeed at least a bit lost now, Ortal's territory seemed out of the standard flight path, and she was sure she had never heard of him before.

"Nice to meet you." she offered politly. "I don't believe I'm lost or ever have been, but it is nice to run into anouther Sentinal on a night like this. Nice territory you have here."

"Oh! Sorry, I'm Meehawk, and this is Mayday. Again, nice to meet you, and Yule too." she nodded. "Food would be nice if you have any to spare. I'm on my way home, I've just been flying for a while." Meehawk was nervous. She was sure staying in a male's territory alone wasn't proper, but she didn't want to be rude, and besides, she was hungery.

She had to nudge Mayday away from her before she could step forward to accept the invatation. He was always so clingy sometimes! Clingy when he wasn't busy wrecking havok. Meehawk hoped he didn't try anything here, but she supposed it was better here than anywhere else.
