She was crying so hard, all day that day. She wanted Vi to be happy but knew deep down that she had really hurt her friend…. And more than anything in the whole world she wanted her to be happy. She needed Vi to understand why she was so hurt. She was going to find her.
Her golden paws slowly pressed forward, as she sniffed the air, searching for Vi’s scent.
Vi was sitting at their usual spot, thinking of Koy and how angry she was at the girl, and at herself. She would be leaving tomorrow and she'd found what had become to be her best friend no where. She wanted to apologize to her, she wanted them to be friends again. She felt sick, staring down at her reflection.
She huffed and swatted a paw at the murky water and stood, turning away from herself. She padded a few steps away, sighing as she looked toward the sky. What was she supposed to do with herself now?
Her dark eyes narrowed as she reached her friend, spotting her in the place that they often rested together. This was going to be hard. She didn’t know what to say, she didn’t know how to feel, but, but she knew she wanted it better. Koy wanted them to be best friends again!
With a soft mew she called out and sat down, smiling at her friend.
“Vi, hey…”
Vi's head lifted when she heard her name and her eyes landed on Koy; she was a bit surprised, but she felt her burden lessen a little. She'd finally found her, which was one step closer to fixing things.
"Koy!" She shouted the others name and suddenly stopped, feeling ashamed at how she'd acted the last time they'd run into each other. She moved forward in a shifting manner, tail flicking. "Koy.." She said a little softed.
“Vi, before you say anything, I… I just wanted to say that I’m sorry. Im sorry for what happened the other day.”
She paused and looked at her friend with a soft smile.
“I, I didn’t want to lose you, so.. I said some things I wish I hadn’t.”
Vi was surprised that Koy was apologizing to her, she was supposed to be the sorry one! But it made her words come a lot more easily, "No Koy! I was wrong, I was completely dreadful!" She said, coming close to the other female and sitting slowly, facing her. "I was the one who was wrong, I'm sorry I'm so terrible!" This was big for vi, apologizing.
She smiled and gave her friend a soft nuzzle, nodding slowly.
“We were both wrong, I think. So, I’m also very sorry for my part. I’m just; I’m going to miss you when you leave.”
Her eyes narrowed at her friend as she gave her a worried look.
Vi pressed herself close to her bestfriend, she'd come to be more important than even her family. Her family would always be tied to her, but one wrong move and she could lose Koy forever! "I know but it will be so much better when I am back!" She was trying to promise this to koy
“Swear it? You won’t forget me right? I don’t want you to forget me, I’d be so sad if you did...”
Her eyes narrowed as she nuzzled herself closer to Vi, purring in a motherly fashion. She never wanted to lose her best friend!
She snuggled herself closely to Koy, though this was the only lion in all the pridelands she'd still cuddle with! If word got out she was a sissy-paws and liked this sort of thing she'd never live it down. Still, Koy was her best friend so it was okay.
"Course I won't forget you!" She cried out and then giggled, she wasn't going to be gone forever!
“When will you come back?”
She asked softly, gazing at Vi with wide eyes. She didn’t want to be gone from her for too long, vi was all she had!
Vi shifted a little and seemed to ponder this greatly. "Hmmm. As soon as I make my first kill, I think. I think that's what my mother wants from me. I don't think it should be too hard!" her chest puffed up at this and she shot her friend a winning smile
“Alright.”
She said with a smile, trusting what her friend had told her. She would hold her to it. She never wanted to be without her best friend.
“Vi. You will leave in the morning then?”
Vi nodded and her tail flicked a little. "Yes, bright and early. I will try my hardest, and that way it won't feel so long!" She stated boldly, feeling like she could make the kill within the first few days out of the pridelands. Of course, she was still too small to hunt a zebra herself but it didn't stop her ffrom thinking so
She smiled and stood up, nuzzling her friend. She needed to go right away; she had something she wanted to do for her friend before she left. Her eyes narrowed as she gave her a bright smile, purring deeply. Vi would come back so strong! This was going to make her very happy.
Koy couldn’t wait.
“Alright then. I’ll see you bright and eerily then! I’ll be waiting to see you off.”
"Okay! I'll make sure my mother doesn't leave until we say goodbye! You'll see, it will be great!" She butted her head against Koy's before she also got up, starting to head away. She'd properly say goodbye tomorrow. She was purring very lightly to herself, estatic that they'd mended their fight so easily
