Without saying that Love is God.(Because I know that already)
How can you say that you love someone if there are 3 things that you can love about them.
1. The things they do
2. The way they act ( such as they complete that half of you)
3. Or the way they look
Because honestly then that means that you love only the things about them and you do not love them for their heart, which is what you should love.
But then there is another thing you can't love, and that would be the so called "Love at First Sight". The reason is the same as the e top stuuf.But rather it should be called something like "Infactiuation at first sight" Or maybe something a little less.
All this that I have said are all my own dealings and unless you accept them they should not be accepted as truth. Not unless you find that from God.

I think that 1 Corinthians 13 really defines love well. As far as romantic love goes, I think Song of Solomon is better. My personal feelings on Love at First Sight is that there is no such thing as love at first sight. There's attraction at first sight. And nothing more.

Love is sometimes a decision - a moment of putting someone elses good above your own. God tells us to love our enemies, and at first the only way that will happen is by a decision. But, as we follow God's will, I believe the 'feeling' love will follow.

Technically, there are three types of love in the Hebrew language: ahabah (pronounced "a-ha-'bah), the friendship love, rayah (pronounced ra-'yah), the relationship love, and dowd (pronounced dode), the doting love. Perfect love is a combination of all three of these. I believe your question refers to this perfect love.
