Win QQ

Memorable quotes;
"I certainly don’t think that Hogger is something new or amazing, yet when I first saw him, I knew he was a G not to be F’ed with."
"So, when my full T6 drood is standing next to a full S3 drood, we look the same. That’s cool… except his guild is on Curator…"

And just a "lawl" all round, particular the first page responses. smile

Well, I can't say he's wrong. The game has changed since its release, and this had to do mainly with the growing "casual" community as the game became more popular, Blizzard had to do something about that.

Meh, I get what he's saying

i agree with him, actually. any way you look at it, there's no way working an hour a week should ever get you the same gear as actually putting forth the effort to raid. i'm really hoping WLK puts BC in its place: off the screen.

The best BBQQ I had in California is at Armadillo Willy's. True story.

Edit: On reading this article, I see what the poster was trying to argue. Saying that "epics aren't quite as epic anymore" with a long winded, drawn out post. The point of view that epics, or at least quality gear should not be given to someone who enjoys another aspect of the game (in the case PvP) is just so flawed that I cannot even begin to comprehend his argument.

Granted, he makes a few good points about people farming AVs for honor and such, but why should the people who actually go out there and enjoy themselves PvPing in BGs for gear be punished? Honestly, world PvP ain't what it used to be. It's fun as all hell, but you can't get the amount of honor to get gear worth a damn. The point is that the PvP gear is there for those people who want to PvP at a "higher level" (I say this only because the said person who stood around in AV and hit the space bar to get the honor to purchase the gear will probably still lose to someone in PvE blues).

His logic is very flawed in the respect that this PvP gear will guarantee a player a spot in a raid. Far from it. While Gladiator gear is good for PvP it is significantly lacking sustained DPS for long encounters.

I'm probably kicking a dead horse here, I'm pretty sure everyone reading this already knows what the hell I'm talking about.

PvP gear is okay...... but honestly, I would not use it in PvE without HEAVY Int enchants........ there just isn't enough int and +spell crit for a poor fire mage.

Unless I was being made to tank in Gruul's. Then I'd sacrifice anything for more +stam. But until then, I only have the PvP chest (my robes before were disgusting) and all the int enchants I could force onto my gear.

How, exactly, does PvP gear affect PvE? yeah, it's crazy easy epics, but I, anyway, /report ALL AFKers in a battleground. And my pride and joy was beating a full Season 3 PvP geared mage on the damage meters.

I love QQers. I get to point out to them all the reasons they are WRONG.....

if they do, they didn't seem to say so.

it's not that getting gear for other aspects of the game is bad, it's that you don't really have to earn it anymore. if you are patient with your 15$ a month and have ONE friend who is willing to log on for an hour a week with you, you can get excellent, excellent epic gear. if they implemented a system where you actually earned your gear while pvping, he would have been completely fine with it. but he is right that throwing free gear at pvpers and adding miniature battlegrounds doesn't make pvp more interesting; possibly more mundane, although you feel accomplished because when you were playing before BC, only the elite could get the gear you have.

Someone is season 3 may look almost exactly like someone in T6. Someone in S3 may still be working on Kara. but no matter what they will always beat the living s hit out of the person in t6 in a duel.

As far as the being patient part goes the same could be said for raiding. Getting entry level Kara epics is just as easy as getting Gladiator gear from AV farming, and it would definitely take a lot less times to get decked out. Glad's Crossbow for 37k honor or Steelhawk Crossbow which has a fairly decent drop rate from Attunement? Hmmmm...
