Ok for as long as i can remember ive been drinking coffee. It's become a habit for me to drink 3 cups every day nonstop but lately my friends have been telling me i should stop because its unhealthy. So I miss just ONE cup the other day and i swear i had bad stomach aches and I my hands were shaking like mad and I couldnt focus in school all because i missed just one cup of coffee. Should I continue drinking to focus and stop the stomach pains? or Keep trying to quit drinking and deal with the pains and the constant like torretz (spelling??) feeling in my fingers until it stops

Hi dear, I remember what you said about the consequences of 1 cup but i think that there's other ways to overcome this problem.
The first things that came to my mind is to switch to a decaf one or to dilute it (bad idea. it tastes so bad diluted) so i searched in the net and I particularly loved this page:
http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/05/how-to-give-up-coffee/
because it says things that are easy to do like switch the caffeine for tea or grain coffee. I'm really concerned about your health sad please tell me if you found that page useful. Good Luck smile

Wow, your a real Sweet<3 *huggles* That's a lot of good info.

Personally, i would recomend the green tea idea, but u GOTA be careful where u get it. Your local grocery store is not going to have the GOOD green tea. That over-processed junk is just that, JUNK. The only place *I* have been able to locate good GOOD green tea is the local Asian market. As far as stomach problems, u may want to turn to maby Calcium carbonate (Tums) or i drink Barley tea.... then again i grew up on barley tea, but it settles my stomach, quick. Also maby some breads would help soothe an angry tummy. Then again, i could Drink a redbull and go straight to bed. I drink Redlines (far more powerful than redbull) for fuel (and weight loss wink ). to me 3 cups of Coffee wouldn't phase me. Either way, it would be a good idea to break addiction while it's only as "minor" as it is (i say minor because addictions often compound and get worse over time)..... EEEK, ok, serious moment done! OMG, and stuff whee

I agree with Asamaki Kairi. Tea sort of helps you with caffeine addiction, but it depends on what kind of tea you like.

I used to have the same addiction to coffees during high school, but then somehow I realized that the more I drink, the more I get immune to it (I won't stay awake with coffee sweatdrop ) and it gets harder for me to remember what I learned in classes.

And that's when I start drinking coffee once in a few days. I'll drink malt drinks or teas whenever I crave coffee.

Different ppl have different needs. But u could just try, maybe it'll work. 3nodding
