MAKES 60!
INGREDIENTS
* 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened * 3 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted * 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips, melted * 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar until well blended. Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla until no streaks remain. Refrigerate for about 1 hour. Shape into 1 inch balls.
TIPS
1. I advise using a melon baller to shape the truffles 2. To change the flavour of the truffles use another flavouring instead of Vanilla, like for exaple cherry; orange; Coffeee or even a liquer I use Jack Daniels for my partner. 3. You can also use double cream in replacement to the cream cheese
DECORATION
1.Roll truffles in ground walnuts, cocoa, coconut, confectioners' sugar, candy sprinkles, etc.
TIPS
1. Melt chocolate into a bowl and dip the truffle balls in one by one and place on a baking sheet to dry to create a hard outside and a soft inside 2. I sometimes even drizzle chocolate lines over the top of the hard chocolate 3. Dip the truffles into white chocolate and then roll in ground macadamia nuts a bit messy but very yummy
I'll upload some pictures once my cellphone has charged smile
