Now, I know I'm not the only one that hates the English anime compared to the Japanese's. The voices are very bad, not to mention they cut parts out... What do you think?

I used to watch English dubbed anime, but now I watch more original Japanese dubbed w/English subbed anime. I don't think English dubbing realling ruins all anime... I guess the way it's dubbed is just lame and needs to be redone.

Indeed. It's not exactly ruined by English, especially if you don't particularly like to listen to a foreign language. Doesn't make you any less of an anime fan if you prefer dubs over subs. But I DO think they could try to fit voices a lot better than the usual cast. Asuna with a valley girl accent in English is just no.

I have seen 4Kids dubbed anime, i am scarred for life. A lot of people do a real piss-poor job of dubbing the animes.

Ah, the big subs versus dubs debate xDDD
Personally, unless the subtitles are crappy [and trust me, I've seen really bad subtitles before] or the dubs are too outlandish, I could care less which one I watch. I've seen Bleach and some of the subtitles, they have '1's instead of exclamation points. Someone forgot to hit the shift key while subtitling? Give me a break. And Zero no Tsukaima, those subtitles were the worst. If I could have read a complete complete sentence, that would have been nice. And then you have 4kids Entertainment, which edit and massacre anime just so they can make some money off 9 year-olds. Dubs and subs, I prefer whichever one I can coherently watch. If both versions are really nice, I'll probably end up liking both versions. I know plenty of English and Japanese voice actors, and they both work really hard depending on which company is casting the actors.

Oh yes, if you want decent dubbing, I find that Bandai and ADV films did pretty good jobs =3
Geneon did good too until they stopped producing in the US >.<

I don't think so.
It depends which company and how old the anime is.
These days, the dubbing has been getting a lot better than before. Sure, I still like the Japanese, but I can do with dubbed.

♥ Tsunayoshi Sawada x Hayato Gokudera is love. ♥I like some titles in English better than Japanese, actually. And Air Gear was special. It was uncensored on the DVDs in English, which made me laugh very, very much. I guess ADV figured they'd rather not cut parts out, and just keep the stuff there. I like ADV, though. I thought their dub of Welcome to the NHK was awesome too.
