The Angel in the Cherry Blossom Tree
I know it when that fake smile comes up, she isn't really okay. She's so sad looking, even if she thinks not. I can see the emotion pouring form her eyes; something so heartbreaking I want to clutch my chest and shriek. But I don't, I just intertwine my fingers with hers. She's yo beautiful, and I'll run my fingers through her soft, petal-pink hair and kiss the circles under her eyes, and she mnever stops me, because I know she needs comfort, and she's no fool. She knows when she needs someone there as well, and I'll always be willing to be that person. I love her, and that will never change, I realize as I see a midnight-haired girl sitting on a bench, staring at us dejectedly. Trying to be her love as well didn't work out, and in the end I only hurt her more.
I want to go apoligize, state that I'll always love the rosette, but I'm sure the pale-eyed girl already knows that. So we pass her, and I gently kiss her cheek. 'I'll always love you,' I think, because I'm not really sure if she feels the same way. I know she got her heart broken, but that was so long ago. I ignore my own needs for companionship day after day, and my bonds with my other frienbds get weaker and weaker, while I don't know if her bonds with me strengthen, because she is always so apathetic. I'll lvoer ehr anyway, because that's just the type of person I am. She needs me, I need her, and that will never change, I know bitterly.
But still, when I picture Sakura, I pciture a happy girl, with fearthery wings bathed in golden sunlight. Her spring green eyes sparkle while gentle pink petals flutter past her as she is seated, the angel in the cherry blossom tree.
