The Destiny Plan is Chairman Durandal's "final defensive plan" against the "real enemy." The Chairman believes that because the future is uncertain that that is what causes wars. The Destiny Plan works so that every part of a person's life is already decided at birth, based on their genes. They know what will happen in the future so they have no need to fear it. They're free from uncertainty and worries. And because of this eveyone would see that fighting was pointless. But the Destiny Plan takes away everyone's freedom to choose their own future. Like Lacus says, "We all have dreams. We all have hope for the future. That is the basic life force that every living creature possesses. Whatever we might gain, if we are denied our dreams and our hopes for the future, we will be ruined, capable of nothing more than mere existence. Everyone's life is a struggle for the future. It is right to fight for it. That is the position we are in. That is why we must fight. As living beings, we must oppose that which seeks to destroy us... To defy the Chairman and his world of living death."
What are your views of the Destiny Plan and the various view points of each side?

As much as I'd hate to say so, it probably was. People generally have a tendency to work for their own benefit over the benefit of others. As much as we would like to believe in the godness of human nature, some people would require genetic alterations in order to make them help others. I'd rather not have a need for this type of plan, and hopefully others agree with us on this.

i would have to say that the charmans plan wouldn't work. some people would not be satisfid with the choie made for them. some other people would belive that the chocie should not be made based on genes.
people gain there personalities and work ethic threw their own presonal experances and also how they react to them. this would mean that you can not decied what people and accomplish through there genes.
human also if not told that they can'r do something will find away to do what they want to do that is the power of the human soul. thus people would limit them selfs with this plan. there also wouldn''t be any type of advancement with this plan.

I think everyone should have the choice of what to be and whether or not they want to be that person... what they do should be up to them, and no one else. If their fates were decided, what would happen if someone disliked it and decided to go against it?
After all, not knowing the future... seeing where our decisions will lead... that is what makes us human.
