Age: teen; roughly equivalent to a 16 year old

Background Information:
Family Background: Originally brought up by the half-human Antidia, she was left to her own devices when the woman disappeared. Recently, Nim, an old friend of Antidia's has taken it upon herself to care for Antidia's abandoned pets and adopted children.
History, background: Taiyaki was a moldy fish pancake for a very long time. Antidia spent a great deal of time protecting it from hungry lil' monsters. It was around the time the lil pancake fermented that Antidia disappeared, leaving the ferment to wander around taking care of itself. It was dangerous, considering there was a monster very eager to taste the lil ferment. (despite the rank smell).
Having been on her own for a long time, Tai's developed her own view of the world and become very sassy and smartmouthed. Recently, she's come into the care of the witch Nim, and is now able to meet more of her own kind.

Physical Description:
Hair style: straight, medium-length, dirty blonde hair

Physical condition: In shape, tall and a bit lanky.
Marks, scar, tattoo: She has unique ears; they're actually lil fins. She also has thin translucent fins on her forarms. (she's built for swimming)
Clothing: Beach wear - which means anything she can go swimming in. Tight and 'barely-there' stuff, but not slutty.
Possessions, make-up, jewelry, etc: Tai wears shell jewelry, and things in natural colors.
Personality:
Likes: Swimming, surf, the beach, sunbathing, riling people up, slurpees, corndogs and feeling safe.
Dislikes: cloudy and rainy days, strong undertoes, people with big egos, people who call her 'shrimp' or 'shorty', soup, ants, and bees
Fears: Being stepped on, being eaten (tho she's growing out of this one), being abandoned again
Goals: To get by in life, to make friends and be taken care of, to surf and swim all day every day without any cares in the world.
Vernacular (way of speaking): She's got a bit of a beach girl accent, in that she sounds bubbly and uneducated at first, despite not really being bubbly and being smart. She's can be a bit loud sometimes, without noticing.
Character behavior: She will needlessly pick on people, and tease them relentlessly for their flaws. She doesn't do it to be a bully, she does it to people she likes. She will always be nice as pie upon first meeting however, because she likes to gauge people this way.
Positive characteristics: She's usually nice and charming. She's smart and can be good company sometimes. She's a good friend, and loyal. she will never lie or fib, even to spare people's feelings.
Negatives characteristics: She tends to be blunt and a bit outspoken. When provoked, she will NOT let something go. She will pick and pick and pick and beat dead horses into the ground. She will dwell on things and obsess a bit more than she should when she's upset.

::] Taiyaki: The Dezaato [:: Taiyaki (鯛焼き) is a Japanese waffle-like cake traditionally filled with sweet azuki bean paste (although it can be filled with other things such as sweet custard), fried and molded into the shape of a fish; as Tai means sea bream in Japanese.
Taiyaki is often sold in smaller towns of Japan in taiyaki shops or stands. This is similar to Daibanyaki which is a thick round cake also filled with sweet bean paste or sweet custard.
]::] Recipe [::[ You will need a Taiyaki-ki (fish mold) to make Taiyaki.
Ingredients
2 cups Wheat Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 tbsp Sugar
1 cup Water
1 six ounce can of azuki beans, mashed and mixed with enough sugar to form a thick sweet paste
Vegetable Oil
1. Stir flour, water, salt, and sugar thoroughly. Add baking soda.
2. Heat the Taiyaki-ki (fish mold) on both sides briefly so it is warm, not in intense heat.
3. Spread the oil in the Taiyaki-ki and pour the mixed ingrediants into the Taiyaki-ki filling it half way.
4. Put Azuki beanes over the mixed ingrediants in the Taiyaki-ki.
5. Pour additional mixed ingrediants on Azuki filling the Taiyaki-ki.
6. Close the Taiyaki-ki and heat both sides turning the Taiyaki-ki over at intervals.
7. Let it cool and enjoy the Taiyaki! ^^

Nim is really from a rare breed of moon-worshipping fae and distant descendent of Morgana Lafey.

Lifespan: unknown, but its rumored to be a few thousand years.

Occupation: Baker at a small sweets shoppe
Background Information:
Family Background: Orphaned when she was 11 years old. Her father vanished, and her mother was killed by the state for witchcraft.
History, background: Born to a magical family, her father was a powerful wizard and her mother an accomplished witch. When she was 8, and witchcraft became illegal, punishable by death, her father simply disappeared without word. Nim was told he left to find a way to protect his family. After 3 years living in ‘hiding’, her mother was ousted by a close mundane friend, and she was burned at the stake. Nim was taken to the orphanage and forced through the church-run school in hopes of ‘reforming’ her and teaching her that witchcraft was evil.
She lived as a mundane human after school for about 15 years. She had to move because she was not aging the same as the rest of the humans around her, and she didn’t want to raise suspicion. Until the persecution of magic-users ended, she frequently traveled, and relocated approximately every 15-20 years.

Clothing: Dark girly clothes, always with a small splash of blue. She has a trademark witches hat that she wears everywhere.
Possessions, make-up, jewelry, etc: She wears gold, oversized hoop earrings, gold studs and a blue satin choker sometimes. She has a blue bangle she always wears on her left hand.
And while she wouldn’t consider them “possessions” she has 2 skulls, each with a single, grey feathered wing, that follow her everyone. They named themselves Helter Skelter and Steve. They reside on her shoulders, acting as her voices of reason, some of the time. The rest of the time, they’re just nuisances.
Personality:
Likes: Coffee, mushrooms, being a smartass, gloomy and dreary things, spiders, her house, rare herbs, making potions, experimenting, casting spells, cursing people, and being right.

Character behavior: She is extroverted, and usually loud. She’s blunt, and lacks tact most of the time. And the greater the chance she’ll make someone uncomfortable, the more likely she is to be obnoxious, loud and rude.
Positive characteristics: She can be nice, if you can get past her tough shell. She’s protective of the few friends she has. She never swears, despite her rude behavior. She will help strangers (but will deny it).
Negatives characteristics: Blunt, loud, takes delight in the misfortune of others. Likes making people uncomfortable.
Supernatural Info:
Life: Assumed immortal, however it is wholly unknown to her at this point.
The breed of fae she is, lives a very, very long time, but they do eventually grow old, wither and pass on after several thousand years.
Innate Abilities: Basic magic casting; can cast all basic charms and spells with her wand, or incantations. Her moon fae lineage allows her to ‘read’ ponds by fullmoon light. (divination)
Learned Abilities: She has learned how to create many potions, elixirs and concoctions. Had to learn how to channel and control her magic abilities. She also learned various costmetic spells to help cover up scars and blemishes.

(( Finally decided on a backstory and caretaker for Taiyaki. The reason this was an issue is because my original OC that was Tai's caretaker, Antidia, has died. This was due to some personal drama involving the character. ))
Summary:
Nim Ithilfay, Antidia's bestfriend from Kazeha, knew of the tragic and unfortunate events surrounding Antidia's disappearance. She was saddened that Antidia left behind so many creatures and critters uncared for, so she decided to adopt them all and take care of them. And help them deal with the loss of their 'momma'.
One of the unfortunate victims in all this was a small little taiyaki ferment. No longer protected by the half-human woman, the ferment had to resort to self preservation to keep from being eaten by the various other inhabitants of Antidia's house. (mainly the Lil Monster Metria.)
Its unknown how much time passed from the time Antidia disappeared till the time Nim first stepped foot in the abandoned house, but one thing was clear: it had been a while. The house was an utter disaster area, clearly haven't not been cleaned at all. The furniture had been shreaded and anything that was on a shelf or table was now in pieces on the floor. There was empty food wrappers everywhere. Even some of Antidia's clothing was in shreds on the floor.
Some of the critters it seems had gone a lil wild in there.
During this time of anarchy in the Muma (antidia's last name) House, the little ferment had matured into a teenager. No longer looking or smelling of food, she was able to start venturing out more. She had no guidance, or discipline, so she was raising herself. She had made her home in a cabinet in the kitchen; the only one with a lock.
When Nim found Tai, she was skittish, and untrusting. It took some time, but the two finally formed a bond, and a trusting relationship was born. Tai now has her own cupboard in Nim's rickety cottage, which she absolutely adores.
Nim introduced the little GoGo to the beach, and swimming and a new passion was born inside Tai. She lives for the beach now and spends as much time as she can there. (its the beach of a lake, but the GoGo doesn't really know about oceans.)
Nim has been slowly going through Antidia's belongings, trying to find clues about each and every creature and being under Antidia's care so she can learn more about them. Its only been recently that Nim found Antidia's journal and learned of the Gogo Sushi Shop.
As soon as Nim finds the time in her busy schedule, she plans to take Taiyaki there and hopefully learn more what Tai is and maybe have her meet more of her kind.

The small GoGo rooted around in a draw of her current caretaker's home. It was a chore in itself, considering there was just so much junk to dig through. But finally, she found what she was looking for! A pencil nub. Small enough she could use it without too much hassle.
Angry with Nim's refusal to let her out and socialize, thus causing her to miss a huge Beach BBQ that Tai had been looking forward to since she heard about it, she decided to start keeping a journal. To keep track of exactly how often Nim neglected to let the poor girl do what she wanted.
Taiyaki Day 1 ~
I would have started sooner, but I didn't think of it.
Anyway, I heard about this big party on the beach sponsered by the GoGo Sushi shop and I wanted to go so bad. I mean, a beach party!? Come on, its like that king of thing was made for me.
That stupid witch I live with ... was "busy" as she would say. Too busy to take me. Too busy to show me where it was. ALWAYS TOO BUSY!
I hate her so much.
I cried, but I won't admit that to anyway. It just hurt she'd not even let me go. I am like a bird ... I WANT TO BE FREE!!!

I just want it documented that Nim is dumb and selfish. I will find a way to get to the GoGo Shop without her.
