RP LOG ONE
Seto stumbled a little with Compassion on his back. He wondered if he would see anyone he knew here.
Seto turned to someone calling his name, to Compassion's disturbance. "Hello Nightshade." Compassion nudged him. "This is Compassion, my sister."
(outside pony- speaks to compassion)
Compassion turned her head away. "Go aways."
"Don't take offence, she's very tired," said Seto. "We're wandering around. Aparently there are dragons out here."
(outside pony- where is everyone?)
Seto hefted Compassion again and she moved in discomfort. "No idea."
"Want to look togever?" asked Compassion.
Seto shook his head. "Up here," he said and he started up a steep rise.
(outside pony- dragons?)
"They have powerful cloaking systems around this place. I think. No-one thought to come here. The ponies in the valleys are quiet, content with their lot. Not the type to explore. It's easy for a race to go unnoticed for centuries with that kind of ignorance. Just look at the Native People of Australia," said Seto as he huffed up the hill to the rocky outlet on the top. "We rest." said he simply.
(outside pony- *shouts)
Seto shook Compassion off and she regained her feet warily. "Step away from the perimeter or else," he said threateningly, standing forward to place block between his sister and Night and Soraya and the yelling, rude ponies.
"Oh, Onii-Sama. beat them up!" said Compassion. "Hey! My Onii-Samais gonna beat you up!"
Seto didn't reply to Compassion.
(outside ponies- discuss)
Seto didn't batt an eyelid. "I don't take kindly to ponies shouting rudely up at me and my friends. If you desist, maybe then we can communicate like sound of mind ponies as opposed to idiots."
"Why aren't you beating them uuuuup?" asked Compassion, whining.
(outside ponies- apologise)
Seto nodded appreciatively. "No harm taken, buyt next time you mayn't be so lucky."
"Yeah!" Cried Compassion and she kicked Crypt as hard as she could. Which, in her weakenedand tired state, wasn't much more than a poke. Then she skittered behind Seto.
Seto rolled his eyes. "This is Compassion. I am Seto Kaiba.”
(outside pony- I think I’ve seen you around)
Seto steppd back, allowing the Yahto pony to pass if he so wished. "No I have not seen you around, actually," said Seto. "I rarely see anyone. And Compassion plays only when I or her sisters are near her."
Compassion cocked her head. "Where are you fwom?" she asked.
(outside ponies- discuss)
"We reside only in Nightmare valley," said Seto. "It's better there."
"But not funner," complained Compassion
(outside ponies- presents plank)
Compassion looked at the plank, then at Seto, and hid behind him, shaking her head shyly.
Seto prodded her with his hoof. "Maybe if she saw how it was done," he ventured.
(outside pony- slide? Demonstrates)
Compassion glared. "You are so sdupid! I'm nod scawed! You're sdupid for saying that! Beat him up, Onii-Sama!" she cried.
"She is insulted," explained Seto. "Not knowing what a slide is does not make one scared of one."
(outside pony- leaves)
Seto nudged Compassion again. "You sure you don't want a go?"
"Yes!" said Compassion.
"Really sure?"
Compassion looked at the slide and then at Seto. "Can you push me pwease?"
Seto picked Conmpassion up and placed her on the top of the slide then gave her a push.
"Weeee!" she cried, closing her eyes. "Again again!"
Compassion got up from her fifth slide and wiggled her tail. "My bum hurts now. I'm going for a walk, Onii-Sama." and she did.
"Not too far," he said cautiously.
"Not too far." Agreed Compassion
-------------------------------
Zanobi flew ponderously over the surroundings below him, laughing to himself at the efforts of those... light ponies to save a derelict species.
Zanobi saw the leader of his herd and that little foal he was plaing with. He snorted. He didn't like that guy. Maybe it would be better if he never came back. Then I could maybe get some work done. He hissed.
Brittania watched as Zanobi drew close to the ground to rest. She followed, only showing him her good side. "You. You can help me."
Zanobi looked up at her. "Why must I help you?"
"Because he who will help me can ask of me anything," said Brittania eerily, flipping her lovely silver hair.
"Anything?"
"Anything." So Zanobi lowered his head and Brittania whispered in his ear and he became hers.
--------------------------
Seto heard a ruckus and cantered towards it. At the heart of it he saw a brown pony, Soraya and- he groaned. He was going so fast he could barely feel the grass beneath his feet. He didn't stop until he was right in front of Compassion. "What did I say?" he asked.
"But I-"
"What did I say?"
Compassion bowed her head. "Not faa," she mumbled.
"When I say not far I mean it. Don't ever go this far away from me again-uh- I don't want to hear it," he said as Compassion tried to excuse herself. "Who is this you're... protecting?"
"Are you guys sure you know what you'w doing?" asked Compassion. "I don't think mucking around with spells is helping him!"
(outside ponies- cure pooper with a large crack)
Compassion shrieked as the boom went off and Seto covered her. "Is he okay?" she asked. "Awe you okay now?"
Compassion poked Pooper. "Are you okay?"
Seto crowded her. "Don't get so close."
(outside ponies- pooper transforms)
Compassion was flabbergasted. "Whoah..."
(outside pony- greets seto)
"Hello," said Seto.
"Me too! Me too!" cried Daikin.
Compassion giggled. "This is our newest addition to the matchstick hewd, Onii-Sama."
Seto sighed. "I leave you alone for how long? And you find a new pony..."
(outside conversation)
Seto blinked. "Oh yes, I remember, you're the hyper one," he said.
Compassion giggled.
Compassion sat with Seto and Daikin. "Where do we go now?"
"Well I have every intention of taking you home, little miss," said Set sternly.
"Nu-uh Onii-Sama" cried Daikin, latching himself to Seto's leg. "Please can we stay? Pllllleeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase?"
“No, that‘s it, home.” And Seto marched the two babies back home. “It‘s too big for you two.”
--------------------------------
Zanobi watched the unsuspecting light ponies as they milled around the mystical lake. He snorted. “These?” he asked Brittania. “These are those ponies that you want dead?”
Brittania smiled, her scars stretched, white across her beautiful skin. “Yes. Those ones. You know,” she breathed and he felt her presence by her cheek, “what to do…”
Zanobi closed his eyes and felt for the right time to strike. Too early and it could not work. Too late and they could fight against him. When? When? There was a sound around him, behind him. He snapped his eyes open in irritation.
---------------------------------------
Seto baulked as the mirror came into being. He was coming back from showing Compassion home. “What is this?” he wondered suspiciously
(prompt) "A face popped out of the middle of the mirror and looked at them delightedly. Ahh! Living creatures! I haven't seen life on this side of the mountain in ages! Perhaps you can entertain me! Would you care to solve some riddles?"
Here is my first question: Food can help me survive, but water will kill me. What am I?
Seto blinked. “Why not,” he said, “I‘m good at riddles.” ”A frog,” said Seto dryly.
Seto looked around. “Well I was kidding. Can‘t a person show a bit of… oh whatever. Onto the next one…” He was embarrassed. Frogs were the only animals not to drink water…
Seto frowned and stalked over to where Suzume and Kaze watched the mirror eagerly. “I don‘t know what you two are doing here without chaperones,” he said. “But I think I‘ll just stay here a while.” He didn‘t particularly want any of his sisters‘ friends to be hurt.
(outside pony- don’t need one)
Seto hid a smirk. Smart kid. “You might not need a chaperone, but wouldn‘t you like to enjoy yourself and not have this little one annoy you all the time?” He bent down to Kaze‘s ear. “If you sit down you can see better. If you keep quiet you can hear better. And if you waft the sound back here, Suzume could hear better to. You want Suzume to be happy, yes?” he asked, whispering so Suzume didn‘t hear.
Seto actually smirked at that. “So I can well see. He reminds me of someone though “Mae Mae“.”
(outside pony- corrects name)
”Of course it is,” said Seto indulgently.
Seto blinked at Suzume. “Where have you been living?“ He straightned. “I am Seto Kaiba of Nightmare Valley.”
(outside pony- man weird stuff comes out of nightmare valley)
Seto cleared his throat in Meridian‘s general direction. “Er hem!” He raised an eyebrow.
Seto was glad his sisters weren’t here. It was like a parade of strange male ponies. Note to Self. No Ramla or Compassion around here. Ever.
(prompt) Quite suddenly, there was a roar from above, and out of the sunlight, Kaenyn flew with wings spread - the sun behind him turning their membranes even more crimson than usual, with an edging of gold. He had been watching ... and had decided that now was a good time to reveal himself to the ponies below. And hopefully this would dissuade them from going any farther.
"Turn back!" he roared at the group, hovering up above, fangs bared with flames licking at them from somewhere deep within his throat.
Kaenyn simply smirked at the little group below and sent out a silent call to his allies who were hopefully hiding nearby. "You should turn back because if you don't... you're all going to die," he answered, in a low tone. Let them chew on that...
Kaenyn shook his head slightly, tendrils of his short mane flying about. "You say that now ... but what will you do when someone ... DIES?!" And with that shout, he dove down straight at the annoying little fairly pony, fire blasting toward her from between his fangs.
Brittania nodded unseen.
Zanobi took off from his lofty perch and dived towards the ponies of light, making a bee-line towards Kaze. He landed, churning lawn to dirt beneath his hooves.
(prompt) Just before the flames would have hit the pony, Kaenyn swerved so that they avoided her but came very close, probably singeing a few hairs. His wings spread wide, he swept around and surveyed the group, thinking on his next target...
Zanobi snorted. “I‘m afraid this party is over.”
Seto‘s mouth opened. He cantered up to Zanobi and nearly struck him. “What are you doing, you fool?” he shouted.
Zanobi smirked and lashed out at Seto with a violent kick that sent the Herd leader to his knees. “Never do battle with a force of darkness, Kaiba-boy,” he sneered. “Now, my little Firestarter,” he snarled. “Let‘s put you on ice, shall we?”
(prompt) Kaenyn laughed at Suzume's pitiful attack and dodged it easily by simply flicking wings in the other direction - backing up quickly to get out of range. So far, he was a lot more mobile and agile than any of them. Such little weaklings ... what right did they have to come and try to take the eggs?
Seto gasped with pain as the air was belted out of him. He regained his feet tiredly and shook his head. “You‘ll… pay… for that,” he wheezed. He wobbled over to Zanobi and drew in breath for a kick of his own when Zanobi twisted, spun and hit him with an upper cut right to the noggin’. His eyes rolled back in his head and he lay still.
… I can’t believe it… I just killed Seto!
(prompt) Kaenyn had also spotted the little one running off and smirked. Well, well ... opportunity! With a quick little loop, he soared up higher and then twisted again - diving down straight at the young one. He had a much better vantage point and could see exactly where Kaze was going...
Zanobi laughed. “He isn‘t doing well with protecting you, is he, Firestarter? Now,” he looked around intensely, “Where is your little munchkin, hmm?”
Seto blinked again. few seconds… Obviously if he‘d been out for longer then he would have a serious- oh… blood dripped out of the exposed flesh beside his right temple. He stood, shook off that crazy pony who had had the nerve to shake him and went to Suzume. “Where is he?” he asked urgently, his vision swimming terribly.
(prompt) Kaenyn ignored the other dragon now in the air, hissing in frustration as the small pony spun on the ice and away from him, making him miss. "What you are after does not belong to you!" he called out to the group in general, turning to face Meridian then. "And who do you think that you are to bring them here?"
The spell the other pony cast at him flew by harmlessly as he turned.
Zanobi took flight and grinned. “’Let all the children come to me, for the kingdom belongs to such as… thee!’” He spotted Kaze spnning and dived, barrelling his way through the open air.
Zanobi saw the red pony and collapsed his wings tight to his body. Who would reach the child first?
(prompt) Kaenyn gave a derisive snort at that and backwinged slightly to one side to avoid the flame. "Then you will pay with your lives!" he shot back, taking a deep breath and swerving even as he returned the favor, a slightly longer stream of flame shooting back toward Meridian. Zanobi grinned and grabbed Kaze with his front hooves. He lifted the foal into the air, let him go, and then picked him up in a more serviceable position. His laughter vibrated to the ground below…
(prompt)
With a low growl, Kaenyn focused on what was obviously the weaker of the two in the air and beat his wings, heading toward Tsuki now.
Seto tried to grasp the meaning of this. Zanobi has… has a baby… in the air… oh. Oh CRAP! “I don‘t think that will help,” he said thickly to Suzume. “Try this; “ZANOBI!” he shouted, the sound of his own voice splitting his head. “IF YOU DON‘T COME DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW YOUR SISTER IS OUT OF THE HERD!”
Zanobi glared. He didn‘t need to shout to get his voice heard. “Don‘t threaten me, Kaiba-Boy. You forget, I‘m in a higher place than you.” And with that he dropped Kaze. He let the child scream for a moment then caught his again.
(outside pony- you’re not helping! What do you want?)
Seto sighed. “I do have a cracked skull you know,” he said faintly.
”Your co-operation, that‘s all,” said Zanobi. “Just your co-operation.”
(prompt) Kaenyn glanced down at Suzume and snapped, "I've already told you. Go home. Don't come any closer, and leave the eggs alone!" He swooped around and shot some fire at her for emphasis and then flew up high.
"Otherwise, don't expect to live very long!" he called. Then he sped away, flying fast so that no one would follow him. And if Zanobi managed to get away with the baby, all the better. Then they would see how it felt to have a young one stolen...
Zanobi cackled and, flying a lot lower to the ground then usual (what‘ve you been feedin‘ that kid?), followed Kaeyn.
Seto fell to the ground after that shove. He was having a lot of trouble with everything. His vision was blurred and his head felt like a half-cracked egg. “Owch,” he said self-depreciatively.
Seto was in a bad way- still bleeding from his head. The red was trickling from his hairline down to his chin. He was afraid that if he tried to wipe it off he‘d it himself in the head and make it worse. He felt like a complete fool.
(outside pony- helps Seto)
Seto looked up at her. He was in no condition to make any decisions about himself at the time. The pain ran through his head and he felt like he was about to pass out. His head dipped onto his chest.
Seto felt the stinging stop and felt the thudding pain more keenly. The smell of his own blood was nauseating. He couldn‘t stand it. He wasn‘t lucid in thought. He merely blinked as red stained his vision and black crept at the corners of his mind.
(outside pony- heals Seto)
Grisamara grumbled to herself as she flowed beautifully out of the Nightmare Valley. She made her slow way towards the ponies at the lake, hiding how that much exertion had tired her. She sat elegantly by Seto. “What have you done to my Onii-San,” she said with a voice like dread.
(outside pony- questions)
Grisamara smiled at the green pony. “I am Grisamara of the house of Mortatus. Who are you?”
Grisamara noticed Eternia‘s look. She didn‘t like girls. Girls weren‘t susceptible to her power. But she had to be nice to them anyway. “And you two ladies are?” she asked sweetly.
Grisamara scowled. She was not used to being ignored and did not like it. Especially when she was being nice. She instead turned to the somewhat dullard baby pony in front of her. “That‘s lovely,” she said. “What happened to your memories?”
Grisamara curled her lip and brushed her side irritably. No touch, no touch… “I am Grisamara. How are you?” She turned to Seto and jabbed him in the face. He awoke. “There‘s an opening, wake up!”
Seto was still drowsy and he blinked slowly. “You know what they say… take the hiking roads not the looow…”
Grisamara smacked him with her tail. “Be silent if you can say nothing of use! Now get up, we‘re going the high road.” And they did.
Grisamara Rolled her eyes. When did I become a magnet for urchins? Seto, if he‘d been in his right mind, would have thought the same. “That‘s lovely,” said Grisamara.
Grisamara heard the sounds of little hooves clopping. She was too tired to turn around. She sighed and hovered instead of walking to give her legs a rest.
(prompt)
Once everyone wriggles through the first narrow part of the path, it opens up a little more and gets a bit easier to travel. But there are still obstacles. Just ahead, there's a small tumble of rocks that looks a little unstable. It might be safe to cross, though ... Up above, there's a small ledge that also looks kind of dangerous and narrow, but it goes around the rocks.
Grisamara snorted at the rocks. “A lady never wavers in her path, did you know?” she said and she hovered over. Seto followed, too out of it to care where he trod.
(prompt) The pile of rocks is a bit shaky, but it does appear stable enough to cross. It doesn't collapse on anyone, though a few ponies might lose their footing and stumble.
After that, things go all right for a little while longer, until it starts to snow. Slowly, that snow turns into a storm, then a blizzard. Squinting through the driving snow, it seems that the way is clear up ahead, just a few feet away. But then again, it's really cold and that could just be an illusion conjured by fogged minds. Closer, there is what looks like a small cave under a rocky overhang.
Grisamara hovered over the rocks, watching as Seto stumbled. She sighed, and felt a little glow as she gently nudged him to safety. He was waking up properly now, but he needed rest. “My Onii-San did a number on you, didn‘t he Onii-Sama?” She sighed and walked beside him. She came across the snow and shivered. Seto did also. Her brow furrowed. Seto cannot stand the cold, we should shelter in this cave until it is better. So they huddled in the cave and Seto fell into a restful sleep.
(prompt) Miraculously, the storm stops after going only a few more yards forward. Blinking, you glance back at what seems like a wall of snow and hear a disappointed sort of sighing sound on the wind. You got past the storm sprite's domain, good job!
It seems that your troubles aren't over yet, though. Just up ahead, there's a wide gap in the path, with nothing but empty air below. It seems like there's no other way to go forward ...
Grisamara shook Seto awake. “You baka! You led us here to loose time! Get up!” Seto scowled and pushed on with Grisamara sniping at his heels like an angry chiuoua.
Seto looked at the chasm. “I think I can jump across, do you-” he broke off as he saw that. In that brief respite, Grisamara had slumped against his leg. He bent down and heaved her onto his back. It pained him deeply. He gathered his breath and jumped. Seto gained the other side shakily and let Grisamara down gently. “Grisamara, wake up now, we must go.”
Seto looked to see Suzume not quite reach the gap. He lunged forward and caught her hoof in both of his. “Got you,” he puffed. He pulled her onto the shelf.
Seto sat heavily. He called Grisamara over to him. No use in being separated now.
(prompt) Finally, you're all over the jump and you move forward again, very glad to be past that. Coming around a curve, the path finally starts to slope downhill. But then, a wall formed of what seems like solid ice blocks the way. Nothing you do seems to effect it...
But soon enough, a face appears in the ice, amidst swirling eddies of phantom clouds. "Who wishes to go forward?" the mountain spirit asks.
Grisamara strode up to the face. “Would we be here if we didn‘t?”
Seto curled his forleg around her and brought her back. “Grisamara and Seto Kaiba wish to progress.”
(prompt) "Those who wish to continue must answer some questions for me," the spirit says then, and fades away to be replaced by a series of questions ....
Grisamara frowned. “You better have them right, Onii-Sama.” She shivered.
Seto blinked, He sat beside her and flipped his coat around her. “I think I got some right. At least. I didn‘t may attention in chemistry.”
Grisamara jumped. “Ahh!” she clung to Seto then pushed him away. “I was startled… you can go away now.”
Seto rolled his eyes. She was a bit of a brat, but Grisamara seemed to be warming to him.
(outside pony- greets)
"Hello, Lillian,"said Seto in a friendly way. He was obviously still under the weather if he was being friendly.
Grisamara looked at the fairy pony. "Hello," she said, following Seto's example.
(outside pony- inquires)
Seto blinked widely. "I don't know... I was out for a bit." He scratched a line of dried blood off his chin.
(outside pony- cocussed?)
Seto winced. "I am sure that ponies who get knocked out don't really have the credit to know if they have a concussion," he said wryly.
(outside pony- attitude)
Seto screwed his eyes closed. "If I have my own attitude I obviously don't need yours..."
Seto blinked. "If everything is as it should be there is no use. But I am not an expert in these things. I must trust you."
(outside pony- heals)
Seto felt fine again. He shook his head experimentally. No dizziness. “Thankyou, Lillian,” he said, never shirking thanks where it was due.
(prompt) About a day or so has passed since your last adventure, and everything seems to be going as well as can be expected. Up ahead, there's a rather large mountain that has a sort of peculiar shape to it. Something about it is familiar ... but you can't quite put a hoof on it. Oh well. You have to go that way anyways, since there's really no other path that's apparent at the moment.
The closer you get to the large mountain, though, the more nervous you become. You have a bad feeling about this ....
”That looks like…” said Seto. “An Egg?”
”No, stupid, it‘s a wing!” said Grisamara.
(prompt) Well, it seems that someone figured it out. The mountain is a volcano! This could be dangerous ... but everything seems safe enough at the moment, so you all decide to keep going.
Up ahead, there's a place where it seems like there's some sort of cracks in the ground. It doesn't look dangerous, really ... just strange. For the more sensitive of the group, it almost seems like the earth is shaking, just a little.
Grisamara gulped. “Onii-Sama, go over the ground, I‘ll follow you.”
Seto rolled his eyes. “Sure.”
(prompt) The shaking is worse even on the more stable path that you have found and you're getting really nervous about the source of it. Suddenly, there's a giant roar from somewhere up above you. You flinch and look up. To your horror, the volcano is starting to erupt!!
You'd better run, and fast!
Grisamara smacked Seto with her wing. “Run you idiot! You lead us the wrong way! Run!”
(prompt) As you all start running, hoping to get past the worst of it, the ground shakes again, making several of you stumble. Rocks start to fly through the air, small at first - but getting bigger by the moment.
Up ahead, there's a small overhang that it looks like might shelter you. You won't be able to stay long, unless you want to get trapped by lava ... but you should be able to escape the worst of the rocks for a few minutes.
Grisamara was hysterical, her flapping crazed. “Which way? Which way?” she shrieked.
Seto grabbed her, plopped her on his back and ran as hard as he could, as fast as he could. Lava was fast but he was Seto Kaiba and he has something to prove.
(prompt) Once the avanlanche has stopped, you venture out slowly, looking around. Is it over...? All is quiet for a few moments ...
But this is only the beginning. The rumbling starts up again and you jump, thinking it's probably a good idea to start running now. Up above, the eruption is now going full-force, lava spewing out the top of the volcano into the air, hissing and roaring with abandon.
Suddenly, a crack opens up in front of you and widens in moments to a large chasm. Before anyone can do anything, lava spills down the volcano and flows into the chasm, blocking your way. But there are still a few places that look safe in the middle of all that ... pillars of rock that are spaced out from one another. It looks like it's possible to get across, if you're very very careful....
Grisamara was now crying. Seto shushed her soothingly but she couldn‘t stop. “It won‘t be okay! It won‘t be okay!”
Seto leapt and scrabbled and Grisamara lost her grip on his slippery jacket. Seto lunged and caught her skirt in his teeth. He slowly wrenched her up onto the pillar. Then he proceeded to throw her over before he jumped himself.
(prompt) Finally, everyone makes it across and you all stop to rest for a moment, exhausted from all that you've been through. Behind you, the volcano is still spewing out lava, but the chasm you just corssed is blocking any of it from getting to you. Seems like you're safe ...
Suddenly, the baby that was found the day before bounds away from Ryu and heads over toward a tumble of rocks. Upon calling his name, he yells back, "My sister, someone please help her!!"
Mystified, you all follow him until you see a small female pony trapped under a couple of the rocks there. Looking at the two of them, it's pretty clear they are related.
Concerned, you all start to move the rocks, but one of them is way too heavy for any of you to shift. Now what...?
"Who's moving my rocks around?" a voice suddenly cuts through the air, gravelly and low. Startled, you all look up to see another of those pesky spirits. This one is attached to the volcano and he's in a bad mood since all of that erupting is sort of tiring. Looks like you'd all better explain the situation and beg him to let you move that last rock....
Grisamara stopped crying and strode up. “Look, what right have you to pester us! We‘ve been running for our lives and it‘s not fair!”
(prompt)
(questions)
Grisamara sniffled and pulled herself closer to Seto.
Seto let her. “Tired, Grisamara?” He dusted her off and let her curl up around his feet.
Grisamara snuggled into the crook of Seto‘s leg. She was half asleep, but she didn‘t look much for the worse of her trip. Actually the way her fringe fell unevenly across her eyebrows made her look forlorn and needing of cuddling rather than sloppy. She sat with Seto in the cavern of the rock spirit where everyone else had stopped.
Seto nodded to Soraya. “Grisamara‘s sleeping, did you want me to wake her up?” he said to Yoshi. “She‘d probably be disappointed to miss you.”
Seto nudged Grisamara awake and she smacked him in the jaw while still half asleep. He rubbed his mouth gingerly. “We had a volcano erupt on us in a mad dash to get here. How have you been,” he said slightly sarcastically.
Grisamara shook herself from nose to tail. “Oh hello… Y…oshi,” she said, remembering his name.
Grisamara shook her head. “That‘s Seto Kaiba… my herd‘s elder I suppose…
Seto nodded. “Well that‘s good.”
Grisamara shrugged elegantly. “Suit yourself. Did your sister make you walk all the way here?” she asked.
”Oh.” said Grisamara. “I don‘t have any aunts or uncles. Just big sisters and big brothers. Onii-sama let me ride on him for a while.”
Grisamara smiled. Cute kid. Knows his manners, I suppose.“I don‘t mind, especially since you asked so gentlemanly,” she said and winked.
Grisamara blanched and looked at Seto.
Seto smirked at her expression. “I hear no flirting, I see no flirting.”
Seto detangled himself from the sleeping forms of Grisamara and Yoshi and walked over to Suzume. “That is true, I suppose. But some don‘t particularly have a choice,” he said tiredly.
He nodded. “Valid point. All of these foals could be kidnapped. They could run off and be eaten or fall into a cavern. But it‘s too late to send them back.” I‘m just glad I got Compassion and Daikin out of here…
"What about the foals we have discovered? Would you prefer to leave them with spirits who eat their memories?" It's probably only psyche trauma, but whatever…
"I suppose it is that. But with enough ponies protecting them, they should be safe, Suzume." He frowned. "I know Zanobi. Better than I wish I did. He won't harm Kaze. Not while I have his sister."
Seto shook his head. "Not really. But you don't know him like I do. Family and blood is all that he knows. He will not allow them to harm Kaze, knowing that we have Grisamara."
Seto smirked. Reminds me of someone... "I would think you'd prefer to keep positive. Isn't that what Dream Valley ponies do best?"
Seto nodded. Now I remember... "I don't think you'll really find solace until you see him yourself. He's a smart kid. Maybe not so aware of everything, but he's smart enough. You ought to exercise some of that trust Dream ponies preach about." ...me
Seto actually smiled, but hid it well. "Then all you can do for now is wait. You have to believe you taught him well enough that a few blood thirsty villians won't get the better of him." He paused. "Practising your aim wouldn't hurt either. It takes keen eye to hit an airborne target. And you do say the only thing you rely on is your talent."
Seto nearly laughed. "I cannot fly, as you can see. If I were to help, it would be more like," he picked up a stone and chucked it into the air, "that. See if you can hit it before it grounds."
Seto nodded, impressed. "Ever used a target that was intelligent?" he asked."
"Right. I just ask because you didn't seem to hit that red dragon. Or Zanobi." said Seto.
Seto poked her in the side. "Kid, it's not about not being good enough, it's about improving where improvment is due. Now, let's see here..." He prodded Grisamara awake and whispered to her. She nodded and walked up to Suzume, still half asleep.
"At your service," said Grisamara. She flapped her wings experimentally. Seto passed her as many volcanic stones as she could carry- volcanic so they wouldn't hurt if one accidentally impacted.
Grisamara nodded, shouldered her load and was airborne in a flip of her tail. She began pelting Suzme with the rocks as hard as she could.
"Now the point here," said Seto, ducking a rock sent awry, "is to dodge the missiles and try and hit the target. See if you can hit her tail- that is predicting movement and it is non-life threatening to my sister."
(prompt)
Once past the danger of the volcano, everyone is very very glad to be away from that entire area in general. The only question now is .... which way? You've all been more or less wandering for a day or two and no one really has a clue where the lair of the dragons might be. Even the dragons among you are confused for some reason - not remembering the way.
Is this a spell of some kind, or are their memories just really bad? What is going ON here?
One night after you have all stopped to rest, you're discussing that very thing, wondering why this is happening and what the cause of it is. Suddenly a small note floats down from somewhere above. When you look at it, you see that it appears to be written in some kind of code!
"SId ozsg xnt rddj hr ghccdm eqnl zkk dxdr hm sld khfgs ne czx Sqtrs xnt sn sld khfgs ne sld rghmhmf nqa hm sld mhfgs rjx Zmc xnt vhkk ehmc xntq vzx"
After silence for a while (okay yeah she was asleep on Seto ><; ) Grisamara blinked. "South," she said drowsily. "Go South you great dork."
(prompt) Looks like North is the way to go for now! This seems to be even more true as the path underneath you gets brighter and brighter. Soon, it's almost blindingly white and looking away from it means looking into total darkness.
A voice calls out from that darkness suddenly. "You're going the wrong waaaay ... turn back, turn back ...." It echoes and warbles strangely, frightening since you can't see who's speaking. Something about the voice is vaguely familiar though ...
"Says you!" cries Grisamara. "Show yourself! I have a bad headache! I will whoop you!" Seto covered her mouth. "I don't think I believe you," he said calmly. He kept going
(prompt) Soon, you leave the mysterious voice behind, but now there's a new obstacle. In front of you is a wall ... a wall made up of bright, white light. Looks like this could be the work of another of those spirits...
Sure enough, as soon as you're close enough, a soft voice calls, "Who would pass me by?"
Seto strode forward. No point in ignoring it when every other voice has gotten an answer. "Seto Kaiba wishes to pass with Grisamara who won't dignify you with an answer."
(questions) (gifty)
Grisamara stared at the new baby. Her heart did a weird flippy thing. "He reminds me of... something," she said quietly.
----------------------------
Zanobi flew lazily and unburdened to the battlefield. "Oh, Kaiba," he called sweetly.
Seto stood protectively over Grisamara. "Don't move, no matter what happens," he told her gently.
"Remember what I said?" asked Seto. Grisamara nodded. She's not going anywhere.
"You think? There's a new one," said Zanobi. "I have business with that one, thankyou."
Brittania laughed. “Did you think you could save them? They will all die! And it is YOUR FAULT!”
Zanobi flapped his leathery wings and was airborne.
Seto glared at the green dragon. “Get away,” he said with his voice like the sharpening of daggers.
Zanobi circled and dodged the fire. He laughed. “Why shouldn‘t I, child? Shouldn‘t you be over with the other foals, sucking your thumb? What business could you have with me?”
Zanobi swirled the air around his ground-ridden opponents. “I‘m in this for him,” he said bitterly.
Brittania dodged Seto‘s kick easily. “Fool.”
Seto glared and threw another kick. “You don‘t seem the type to hit the broad side of a beauty parlour. Oh, sorry, I figured you for a beauty queen. Not with THOSE scars…”
Seto‘s kick connected with a horrible crunching sound. Brittania screamed.
Zanobi laughed again. This youth was too funny. “Hate? You don‘t even know what hate is. You see that little girl over there? That‘s my sister. And he is using her to get to me because he wants to stop me from doing what I do best.”
Brittania gaped and glared. She put her broad forehead down to strike at Seto from above.
Seto grinned. “Upset? Of course. That‘s what you get for challenging Seto Kaiba.”
Yes! thought Seto as his second attack hit- a rolling double hit after standing obn his hind legs and bringing both front hooves down at once.
Zanobi raised an eyebrow. “That isn’t the point, child,” he said with a long sigh. “The point is he is using her to buy his own safety. And stopping me from keeping her safe. Got it?”
Brittania screeched. “Now you die!” She cried and planted her hooves on the ground. Steel barbs rose from the ground all around Seto. He bit back a yell of agony as one sliced his hindquarters.
Seto staggered. He was in too much pain. He saw Grisamara step closer and shook his head at her. He turned to the Dragon pony. “You could never defeat me. So don‘t try.”
My last… attack… my last… Seto thought. I better make it count. And he rammed Brittania with all his strength. He heard a gratifying pop as her wing was taken out of place as it was crushed beneath her.
Zanobi paused, caught off guard. “Are you serious? Are you actually that dense? It‘s all her fault! Her fault! She made me this! And she won‘t even let death come between us! She was reborn to hound me and never give me peace!” Zanobi lashed out again, tears glazing his eyes for one last attack, full of his malice that he had for one he loved.
Brittania got up and crooned over her mutilated wing. “You… you marred my… my beauty… you will. You will PAY!” She leapt on top of him and drove her hoof into his ribs.
”Grudge? Grudge!? Start over? You FOOL! I wish I never laid eyes on her in her incarnation! I didn‘t have to incarnate! I am still as I ever was, but she needs me! I must stay with her forever and she won‘t let me go!” Zanobi was so angry and sad at the same time. He hated himself, but he hated and loved Grisamara. The only thing he ever loved enough to die for… and she… she… “I don‘t need anyone,” he hissed. The look in his eyes was terrible, like a swirling maelstrom of storm clouds.

RP LOG TWO
It was a cold stormy winter night. Brittania’s head was sheltered by her enormous wings as the rain pelted down outside her chilly cave. She rarely slept with her herd. She hated that Kaiba runt for saving her from Kaenyn. She tried not to think of the suffering he might have caused her. In any case, she held no happiness for the Kaiba herd- especially since that Zanobi character lives there… and not after they adopted that metal pony. Brittania shifted in her spot.
The cave was carpeted in fine dust and dirt which pillowed around her like a warm bed, fed by her own body heat. The rain pattering outside was welcome and beautiful- a melody that she alone of the earth ponies could appreciate- being half water dragon. She snuggled down and tried to sleep but as always, her scars twinged in the damp. She cursed and shuffled around, trying to cover her rump and her head. It didn’t really work. She sighed and tried to make do. Like always.
Eventually she dozed off. It was getting quieter- the rain was stopping when she heard coughing and sneezing. She glared- or she would have had she opened her eyes to glare- and waited for the sounds to stop. They did, after a while, getting fainter and fainter. She tried to believe it was just someone moving further away. But she knew in her heart as it grew cold that it was because that someone was too weak to keep coughing and sneezing.
Brittania shook her mane out and folded her wings against herself like a shroud. She left her cave, her hair plastering to her green scaled skull. She looked around for whoever was out there for the only reason that… well… she wasn’t that evil. She’d go to someone’s aid. She didn’t like ponies who killed or let people kill for pleasure- except when it comes to the dragons- and she only wanted them to suffer, not die. She saw a glitter in a shaft of lightning and as she waited instinctively for the slam of thunder, she went over to it. There, breathing faintly and in a bath of mud, lay Jin Kyoshi.
He’d obviously gotten caught in the storm and lost his direction. He’d tried to climb up the hill but the use of his wing was limited since he could only heal naturally (Heketoro couldn’t help because he didn’t have wings) (See the nursery rp thread for information on how Jin Kyoshi hurt his wing) and that put his off balance. A cripple. He’d slipped when he got too cold to focus and had tried to rise but had only clawed mud around himself. His yellow eyes were half open and unseeing.
Brittania’s teeth showed as she curled back her lip. She wanted to smite the creature right then and there! Crush his skull, rip off his wings! Make him suffer! Then she wondered when she had started thinking of it as a ‘him’. She sighed. No matter who’s line he was, she couldn’t leave a baby there to die. Not her.
She slid her wing under him to roll him onto her back, getting dirty in the process. As a water dragon she hated dirt. As an earth dragon, she revelled in it. It was a strange trade off. Jin Kyoshi rolled and hissed in pain as his injury was rattled. Brittania then folded her wing as best she could and slowly walked, slipping a little in the mud, to her cave.
There, she crouched down and let him roll off before inspecting him. He was cold. And damp. As a metal pony the damp was bad for him. His wing seemed to be inflamed and red. It looked painful. Brittania felt a twinge of sorrow. Her wing had been broken. Worse than that, but still, as a baby dragon she had exulted in her freedom of flight. He looked perfect besides that, if a little chubby. Chubby… like he could eat as much as he wanted. He looked like he’d be spoiled, but he wasn’t. He was the type of pony who always made the best of what he had. He never knew his mother or father. In fact the only other dragon he knew was…
Me[/], thought Brittania. I’m the only other dragon he’s seen. The only full grown female anyway. What kind of view am I teaching him about our kind?
She shook her head roughly and drips flew off her wings. It was his kind that did this to me! She brought up a paw to slash his face like had been done to her and a bolt of lightning scarred the sky, showing the bruises under his eyes and the rawness of his flesh. Brittania brought down the paw to slide a thickly bunched strand of hair from Jin Kyoshi’s face. She couldn’t harm him. Not tonight. When he could defend himself, that’s when. When I’ll have my revenge! Brittania instead moved off and curled around herself. She tried to go back to sleep and she was nearly there when Jin started coughing weakly and moaning. She growled lowly and stood up, crossing to see what his problem was. He wasn’t awake yet. It seemed he was having a nightmare. He was terrified and he would have cried but the fluid in his lungs made him cough. He was shivering, water still clung to him.
Brittania’s mothering instincts kicked in and, filled with pity, she coiled around him, with her head near his. She exhaled her warm breath and he breathed it in and quietened. Brittania lifted her wings to encompass the both of them, like a tent that kept in the warmth. Jin Kyoshi was lying up against her scarred thigh. She began to shift uncomfortably when she noticed that him being there warmed it and stopped the aching. She smiled on him then, and curled tighter around him.

RP LOG THREE
When Jin Kyoshi awoke, he was in a world of green and silver. A warm world. He felt horrible, but it was lovely in that warm space. He wondered where he was. He couldn’t be in the shell again. That would be weird, and anyway, the shell wasn’t green. He forced his weary gummy eyes to focus and found himself nose to nose with the scariest pony he ever knew. He tried to squeak but his voice was lost in his terror, he was trapped! He looked around, breathing heavily until the phlegm woke and choked him into a coughing fit. Brittania mumbled and shifted. Jin Kyoshi then held his breath until her breathing regulated and then assessed his problem.
He was trapped in a nice warm cocoon. Why was he trapped in a nice warm cocoon?
Jin Kyoshi could only remember going up a hill in the dark and then there was nothing. He was sure Brittania (Or the Green Banshee as he called her) had picked him up and carried him away to eat him! But why hadn’t she yet? Hmm… confusing…
Anyway the point it- how would he get out of here without being eaten? He looked around but didn’t find any chinks to scurry out. Hi wing joint brushed Brittania’s leg and he hissed with pain. To his horror a glassy topaz eye shuttered open.
“If you wanted out, all you had to do was say so,” Brittania said, a giggle of laughter hidden in her words.
Jin turned to face her. “Uhm… Are you going to eat me?” he asked with that blatant honesty that children possess.
“No.”
“Why?”
“Because I don’t eat baby ponies.”
“Why?”
“Why do you think I eat baby ponies?’ asked Brittania and she yawned wide to reveal her teeth.
“Because you have big sharp teeth!”
“Don’t you also have sharp teeth, small dragon?” asked Brittania.
Jin Kyoshi felt in his mouth. “I guess.”
“Do you eat dragons?”
“NO!”
“Then why must I eat dragons simply because of my teeth?”
Jin Kyoshi was stumped. “Uhm… because you’re mean?”
“Am I mean?”
“Uhm… yeah…” said Jin Kyoshi, a little worriedly.
“Why am I mean?”
“Because you… are?”
“I see,” said Brittania. She folded her wings back, stood up and stretched out, hearing the gratifying click of the joint as they eased back into place. “Well maybe you should give some thought to that before you decide someone is one dimensional.” With that she walked out of the cave and tensed her body for flight.
Jin Kyoshi looked at his feet, pondering. Then he dashed out to where Brittania was about to take off. “Hey thankyou!”
Brittania pretended not to hear. But she did.

RP LOG FOUR
Jin remembered that night for a long time.
Today was no exception. He had been too afraid to open his wings since his injury and now that it appeared to be healed he was afraid it hadn’t healed right and he’d be crippled forever. He kept putting it off and Shanevye kept pressuring him to do it. Like she was bored flying alone. Jin Kyoshi didn’t want to open his wings. But he wanted to fly… but he didn’t want to know if he was broken…
Jin Kyoshi felt his heart sink and then he remembered Brittania. He remembered the green light cast by the sun through her wings and the little bump on the ride of her wing that shouldn’t have been there. He had been told once that Onii-Sama had broken her wing. Obviously she had healed. She has healed. Jin Kyoshi took solace from that.
He gritted his teeth in his private clearing and closed his eyes tightly. Then he concentrated and unfolded his wings, waiting for the pang of pain and shame as his wing jolted and dropped and was useless.
It didn’t come.
Jin Kyoshi beat his wings euphorically and ran around his clearing, silently delirious with joy. Then he tensed and was airborne, whooping happily. He flew for no other reason than that was what he wanted to do. He flew as far as he could, then stretched his limits and flew back.
He landed a kilometre from the hive of clearings because his wings were too tired and found himself outside Brittania’s cave. He looked inside carefully but she didn’t appear to be there.
“Looking for me?”
Jin Kyoshi squealed and turned around to find Brittania standing behind him, a few inches from his face. She had sneaked up on him. She hid a smirk as Jin Kyoshi tried to stop his heart beating so wildly.
“I guess so, then,” she said. She backed up a few steps. “I suppose the next question is why.”
“Uh I was just flying around… and I saw the cave… and I was tired…” said Jin Kyoshi when otherwise he would have run away from Brittania.
“Are you healed?”
“Uh… what?”
Brittania sighed. He was still a child after all. “You were ill that night. Are you okay now?”
Jin Kyoshi blinked then nodded, grinning. “Yeah Heketoro fixed me right up, he was sick as a dog for a while though, smelt all sorts of plants and things. He said if I’d been sick, I’d have died.”
“Really?”
“Yup! So thankyou!”
“…” Brittania blinked. “For what?”
“Well you got me out of the rain. If you hadn’t found me, I’d be… uhm… in big trouble,” said Jin Kyoshi brightly.
“Oh,” said Brittania. “And you said you flew? Your wing is healed?”
“Yup! All better, see?’ asked Jin Kyoshi, flexing his wing. “Not even a little bump, like yours.”
“Like mine?”
“Yeah, on that wing,” said Jin Kyoshi, pointing to Brittania’s left wing. “There’s a bumpy thingy.”
“Oh. Yes.”
“It’s not noticeable or anything,” said Jin Kyoshi. “I only saw it because you had it open over me.”
Brittania nodded with no expression on her face. Jin Kyoshi moved forward. “I mean it! I’m not lying! I promise you can’t see it!”
Brittania cocked her head at him. “It’s a wonder your teeth don’t rot.” And she turned away and took off while Jin Kyoshi was busy thinking about what she had said.
“I floss every night! Just so you know! Okay?!” He cried after her.

RP LOG FIVE
((This is part of the flutter rp thing- there’s no point in taking all of the rp that was there but this part is important. After Duremar attacks again, Jin Kyoshi’s friend Morgause is separated from him to attack Duremar and Seto and Zanobi refuse to let him help her))
Jin shrieked. "Morgause! Onii-Sama go help her! Lemme go!"
"Jin, she has her own carers."
"No lemme go!"
"Rock, shut it," said Zanobi- always with the pet names.
Jin wouldn't quiet and kept wriggling and trying to help Morgause. Seto was determined to not wring his neck. "Jin she's helping us help the flutters! Be greatful for her sacrifi- oh dear..."
Zanobi sighed, took Jin and rolled his eyes. "You're a dolt."
Jin sat by himself and bawled. Seto sighed and Zanobi looked around for a big rock.
Jin was slightly hysterical. “You never listen to what I have to say! You left Morgause behind! You don’t care at all! Leave me alone!” He cried. The time he’d spent with his family- being part of the pack with no individual love and the rough treatment by Brittania was all coming to the surface.
“Listen, Rock-” began Zanobi.
“DON‘T CALL ME THAT!” Jin sobbed and he raced down the nearest tunnel.
Seto blinked. “Oh come on now I did the stupid quest,” he grimaced. Jin-” he called.
“Leave him alone,” said Zanobi. “Maybe he’s right. A little bit. You’re a bad match for him. So am I. He cares too much.”
“I care,” snapped Seto.
“Not like he does, not for everyone. Let him alone.”
“It’s dangerous!”
“If he doesn’t come back in two hours, we’ll get the girls in to bring him out. Not us. Leave him be and let’s go home.”
Seto grumbled and let Zanobi take him home. “Since when did you become Solomon?” he said bitterly.
“Since I decided that he was going to be a complicated kid. Now shut up.”
-------------------Elsewhere in the tunnels--------------
”Elka, Duremar has been gone a long time, hasn’t he?” said a tiny little girl flutter.
Elka, the male flutter, nodded.
”I’m hungry,” she said.
Elka nodded again. “Me… too.”
“When is Duremar coming? Soon? He wouldn’t leave us here,” Mixy gulped. “All alone.”
Elka stood from his laid out position and licked his sisters cheek. “We aren’t alone here. We have the stars.” The stars he referred to weren’t the balls of burning gas we see of a night; they were tiny little pinpricks of white light in a cold, dank cave which leant warmth and light. There was also a small fire burning and a few candle tapers. These surrounded an area of thick rugs piled together where the two siblings sat. There was a stone table nearby.
Mixy gasped and began to cry. The stars were dimming.
-----------------------------Back to Rock- JIN KYOSHI! JIN! SORRY!---------
Jin ran until his eyes stopped flowing and sat down. He was hopelessly lost and without a light. He’d just ran and ran in the dark, bumping into walls. It was just too unfair. He thought he’d start crying again but it seemed he was all cried out. His lovely yellow eyes were bloodshot now and he had nothing to blow his nose with. He hugged his wings to himself and thought about what he’d do after this. Go live by himself? Too scary… live with another herd? That would teach them… but no-one he knew would take him… maybe Morgause… no she was fun when he saw her but he was sure that eventually she would get sick of him. Like everyone else.
But wait… There was someone who was sick of him to begin with! Brittania! She hated him when he took his first breath! He’d live with her.
Jin Grinned, his fangs poking out, “Oh yay… now to get out of her and tell Brittania the great news!” He looked around sightlessly. “Uhm…”
The hopelessness of his situation finally hit him and he wept loudly again.
---------------------In the starry cave------------------
Elka looked up. “You hear that, Mixy?”
“Yes… yeah I do! It sounds like… it sounds like pain. There’s someone out there,” she squeaked. “Let’s go!”
“We’re not allowed to leave the cave,” said Elka. “But… I’m sure Duremar would let us bend the rules once. He said we must not leave the cave. You can go, I’ll stay.”
Mixy nodded. “Help me with the rope” she said. Duremar had left them a long length of rope to use just in case. Elka tied it around Mixy and then tied the end to a torch bracket. Mixy nodded, licked her brother and set out with a candle to find this poor pained one.
----------------And in the tunnels again…---------------
Jin’s nose was dripping and he wiped the tender scales there with the harder ones of his hoof. It hurt and rasped with a horrible sound. He wept anew for the pain. He looked up and thought his eyes wereplaying tricks- how could there be light down here? That’s not a light that’s a… well he didn’t know what that thing was, bobbing in the air. He closed his eyes again. Imaginary or not, the light hurt after so long in the dark.
“Are you okay?” asked Mixy.
Jin opened his gummy eyes. “You’re really here?”
“Yes I am. Are you okay? Wow… you look so strange… Sorry. There are many forms of ponies and I have never seen any like you.”
“That’s what the other flutter baby said,” said Jin. “Or kinda anyways… I’m… not hurt.”
”Then why were you crying?”
”No-one… really cares about me.”
“And why’s that, Me?”
“Me? No I’m Jin Kyoshi. But you can-” he stopped himself from saying ‘Rock’. He always said it… it was a hard habit to break.
”I can what?”
“I was gonna say ‘call me Rock’ But… it makes me feel boring.”
“You know the most majestic buildings are made out of rock,” said Mixy.
“What?” asked Jin. She was trying to make him feel better.
“Uh…” said Mixy as the candle started to gutter. “You should come with me or the light will go… I’ll tell you more about rocks if you do.”
“Ok,” said Jin. They started walking.
“Rock are the jewels in pretty jewellery- they come from rocks. They just have a different name. Rocks made these tunnels. Rock give us places to go…” They continued talking until they made it back to the star cave. By that time the candle had gone out and the two were making their way by touch. They raced back the last few yards as they saw the light.
Elka was winding the rope back and he untied it from Mixy and the bracket. “Hello,” he said to Jin. “How did it go?” he asked Mixy. The stars had dimmed altogether now and the light came only from the flames around the room. It was getting cold.
“Good. This is Rock,” said Mixy happily. “This is Elka. And I’m Mixy.”
“Hi,” said Jin.
“I’ll get you a tissue,” said Mixy.
Jin took it and blew his nose. He burned the used tissue in the fire. “What are you guys doing down here?”
“We live here,” said Mixy. Her stomach grumbled. “I’m so hungry… Elka, do you reckon Duremar would be mad if we ate without him?”
Elka shook his head. “He’s been gone too long. He couldn't blame us. Come on, Rock, if you’re hungry you can eat too, as long as we save some.” The three baby ponies sat at the table and pulled the food (assorted fruits and grasses and a little bit of candy) around to share out equal bits.
“Who’s Duremar?” asked Jin.
“He brought us here- oh!” Mixy stopped short as she heard thunderous footsteps. “He’s back.”
Duremar burst into the cave. “Children-” he began but when he saw the dragon child he drew back in alarm. “What are you doing here?” he hissed.
Jin had leapt up. “You’re… you’re the bad guy! The shadow!”
“Duremar, what’s Rock talking about?” asked Mixy.
“He’s talking about the ponies that came and took the sunstone away,” said Duremar bitterly. “Come here, children.” Mixy and Elka obediently left their food and their friend and went over to him.
“They stole the sunstone?’ asked Elka. “Why?”
“Because they’re meddlers,” said Duremar with distaste. “Him too!”
Jin was blinking. “What? What is going on?”
“The sunstone powered the heat and light in this room,” said Mixy sadly. “Now it’s gone.. That’s why the stars were fading.”
”Oh…” said Jin. “You’re going now?”
“We have to,” hissed Duremar.
Jin gasped. “Please… can you take me out of here?”
Duremar looked at Mixy and at Elka and nodded.
As the foursome wove through the tunnels, Jin learned of what had happened:
The two flutters had gotten lost and took refuge in the caves. Duremar had found them and as can be expected they were terrified out of their minds. He had slid back into the darkness. The children woke up the next morning with food and light. Duremar had come back later and the children had agreed to go with him. He called them Mixy and Elka because they were too small to remember their own names. They understood that these were use-names only. Duremar had taken the sunstone when the children had grown weak from lack of vitamin D and taken the sunstone to replicate the sun in the caves- there by helping them live without harming himself with exposure to the sun.
When they reached sunlight, Jin turned to the friends he’d made. “I can take the flutters back to the flutter people,” he said. “You… you wouldn’t be able to see them much… if ever but you’d know they’d be safe.”
Duremar grimaced and turned back into the dark.
Jin blinked. “Is that a yes?”
“He isn’t good at goodbyes,” said Elka.
“C’mon, then, Rock, let’s go find our family,” said Mixy happily.

RP LOG SIX
After the ordeal with the flutter babies, Jin Kyoshi wasn’t speaking to Seto Kaiba or Zanobi. He didn’t want to live with the herd anymore. He toiled up the hill to her cave. He wouldn’t fly. He’d walk. Because if he flew to her that would belie his miserable intentions.
Finally Jin Kyoshi crested the hill. He panted terribly and staggered to the mouth of the Cave to rest against it.
“What is it, boy?” called Brittania from inside the cave. “You are interrupting my rest.”
Jin Kyoshi- who had jumped when he heard Brittania chastise him-bowed his head low and knelt at the entrance to the cave. “Brittania… I really need to get out.”
“You are out,” sniffed Brittania.
“Not out of doors… out of the herd. Onii-Sama made me leave Morgause behind and I don’t want to be anywhere near him anymore.”
Brittania raised herself up on one clawed talon. “Interesting. And where, pray, would you live if not with your ‘big brother’?”
“With… with you?” asked Jin hopefully.
“No.”
Jin’s spirit self-destructed.
“But if you help me you may live in this mountain.”
Jin Kyoshi’s head bounced up and he grinned with tears of relief in his eyes before remembering he was supposed to be humble ad bowed again. “Help you with what?”
“Making the cave systems more convenient. Light shafts. Trick paths. Minor adjustments. Nothing too big,” yawned Brittania.
Jin nodded. “I can do that! With my talent! I can help you! I can-”
“You can be quiet now and go and get in your own cave,” said Brittania. “Sleep now.” She curled around her emerald tail and Jin bowed out of her cave.
Jin scrabbled across the ‘next-door’ cave. There was barely any path to it at all. You needed wings to get in. Jin didn’t mind that, actually. No horrible Onii-Sama getting in. He cant fly for nuts. The cave was tiny and had mice in it. Jin glared and stepped on one. His talon sliced it and it squeaked horribly and tried to bite him. Jin rolled his eyes. No rodents in my cave. He slammed the mouse against the rock, killing it instantly. He tossed its grey corpse out of the cave. It was followed by a score of others.
Rodent free, but not of their leavings, Jin Kyoshi frowned. The cave was cramped and had barely enough space for him with his wings out. Oh well. When he was doing renovations, Brittania could maybe enlarge it a bit. But still the stink was nauseating. He thought about who at all could help him.
Ah.
He flew back down to the herd and called Shenavye over.
“What?” she asked.
“Can you help me? I just need you to carry something.”
Shenavye flicked her hair disdainfully. “Pretty girls don’t lift.”
“Fine. Then you can clean the mouse poo.”
Shenavye blinked. “Okay I’ll lift.”
Jin’s next stop was Verdis Bina. She was reading- like usual. But she acquiesced to translating them a big bucket, a brush and lots of detergent. Jin grinned and went down to the river with Shenavye and dipped the tub in.
“How much of this d’you think we put in?” asked Jin, brandishing the detergent.
“I wouldn’t know… maybe half,” said Shenavve.
Jin poured half in and suds rose from the bucket. “Maybe too much… oh well.” He lifted up the bucket and left Shenavye to carry the detergent and the brush. They flew to his new cave.
“This is where you’re going to live?” asked Shenavye incredulously. “I wish you’d reconsider. Onii-Sama didn’t mean anything by it…”
“What if it were you he’d left behind?” puffed Jin. The tub was heavy. Shenavye was silent so he too the opportunity to instruct her; “Help me tip a little into the cave, kay?”
“Gowsh it sbells!” said Shenavye- holding her nose. They poured a little too much in and the water swirled and dropped hundreds of metres below.
“Okay you stay here and hold the bucket… or… or go over to the ledge where Brittania’s cave is and wait for me to yell so you don’t have to carry it.”
Shenavye nodded and passed him the brush. She flew off, straining and slipping. Jin set his teeth. “Kay!” He scrubbed the bottom of the cave. Waves of filth streamed out of the mouth and before too long he called Shenavye back to tip more water in on him. Gradually the runoff got less foul and then the last tip in showed an actual stone floor.
“Wow,” said Shenavye. “I didn’t know you could clean!”
“I don’t want to live on a carpet made of icky,” said Jin tiredly. “How much water’s left?”
“Used the last right now.”
Jin groaned. “Let’s go make some more soap.”
“Why?”
“Gotta do the walls.”
So they repeated the process for the walls, which were less disgusting but took longer. They tipped the last bit of detergent in for the last bucketful of water for the ceiling. When Jin collapsed, exhausted and sore, the cave didn’t glitter and it smelled pungently of detergent and it was damp and cold but Jin was very happy. He put the empty bottle of detergent and the brush in the tub and asked Shenavye to return them.
“See you later,” he said.
“Will you be okay?” she asked.
“Yeah I suppose.”
She nodded and flew off, clinking her load.

RP LOG SEVEN
Jin’s first night alone was terrible. It was so cold without the other babies. The cave was damp and the smell of detergent was everywhere- in his nose. He cried himself to sleep, curled tightly around himself. The few mice he hadn’t gotten woke him up and crawled on him and he sobbed for fruitlessness.
Brittania heard Jin’s sobs. It was hard for her to leave him by himself. But everyone’s got to grow up sometime. His time was just a bit sooner. She knew he must have been cold. She was cold too. But how cold for a little- no. It’s not worth thinking about. He has to grow up. It was foolish of him to leave home. Despite his attempt to clean. That had been amusing. And that he had moved into the cave she told him to- the smallest one.
She felt an inkling of conscience. She’d have to make it up to him sometime. She felt a crick in her thigh. Maybe not. It’s his fault. No it’s not, he can’t help his family anymore than I can. Halfbreed. Well I’ve made something of myself. What? A two-bit baddie henchman- retired at that? Give me a break. Go to sleep.
She sighed. No sleep tonight. Grrr. She crawled out onto the ledge and slowly stretched down to her tail. Then she coiled up. She took off and breathed in the frigid night air. Too cold for a little bean to be alone.
She hovered over the cave entrance- it was little more than a pit in the face of the mountain. She could reach the mite from where she was. She sighed and flew down to the herd. Everyone slept outside now, after the debacle with the manor. It was a lovely feeling- relishing Kaiba’s pain.
Brittania crept through the sleeping ponies. Heketoro always kept some spare rugs… There… in that cabinet in the trunk of a tree. Riffling through it… I feel like a thief. But really someone else is. She drew out a plainish blanket and crept back out of the herd grounds until she could take off without waking anyone.
The blanket streamed behind her like a cape- like a signal in the black sky. Brittania was glad she only had a little ways to fly. Again she hovered outside the pocket which was Jin’s home. He looked so… small. Huddled around himself for warmth and tear tracks down his scales. Brittania scratched them away gently. They could rust scales. Jin murmured in his sleep. Brittania wrapped the blanket over him and maybe… maybe she imagined it. But he smiled. An innocent little smile. With an innocent fang sticking out. Brittania fought the urge to smile too and instead went back into her own cold cave and went to sleep.

RP LOG EIGHT
Jin woke up and felt all cuddly and warm- which was surprising considering he still stank of disinfectant and detergent so he was obviously still in his cave. He opened his amber eyes and looked around. He was covered in a modest blanket. He wondered why, then he gasped. Of course! Brittania! Wasn’t that just so nice of her? Now he mustn’t let on that he knew it was her… He folded it up- badly- and put it at the back of his cave. He blinked and shivered before leaping out of his cave, snapping his wings open and gliding over to Brittania’s ledge. His cave was too small to spread his wings inside it so he had to take the plunge right off.
Jin looked into Brittania’s cave where she was looking at the wall. It seemed strange to him but he shrugged and gambolled in. “Hey Brittania!”
“Shut up,” said Brittania. “I’m looking at the wall of the cave to see where a tunnel would go.”
“Okay,” whispered Jin. Brittania hummed deep in her chest and her claws where she had them on the stone turned iridescent green.
“Here’s good,” she said softly. “Come over here.” Jin obeyed. “Put your claws where mine are,” he did and she put her above. “Now wait a moment.” The stone pulsed and shook and then a sketchy outline of a domed entryway cracked around. “Focus on making it deeper.”
Jin frowned. “How should I help?”
“Because you use metal. The stone in here is laced heavily in metal and two powers are better than one. Now do it.”
Jin put his heart into the work, calling all of the metal in the wall to deform and after a few minutes his knees gave out and sweat stood out from his forehead. The outline was about five centimetres deep. Brittania turned to look at him.
“You’re very weak if that was all you could do.”
“Sorry… Brittania…”
“Hmmm,” she turned away from him and he hung his head in shame. “Cover your eyes.” Jin did so and Brittania dragged her nails with a horrific sound. Jin cried out and there were six rivulets down the wall.
CRACK!
All at once spider threads or cracks tracked through the surface. Then it all shattered, covering Jin with dust and sharp stone. He shook himself off and cleared his eyes. The archway was cleared.
“This… is going to take a while,” said Brittania. She dug her claws into the earth and focused. “yes,” she said, sighing. “A long time.” She looked down. Jin Kyoshi’s eyelids were drooping. She sighed again and picked him up, sliding him out of her way. Then she spread a layer of dust before her and drew her head flush with the wall. Her yellow eyes closed.

RP LOG NINE
After weeks of long work, finally Brittania had gouged out a tunnel system- it wasn’t large or pretty but it was a start. She had exhausted Jin Kyoshi in the process of re-arranging everything but it was worth it- now she could continue on her own. She even found some spare time to hurriedly expand his fold in the stone that he so luxuriously referred to as a cave so it was bigger (by a little) and connected to the system.
It took a lot for Jin to keep his eyes open these days and more often than not, Brittania had to wrap the mite up and put him to bed. Tonight would be the last time… however.
Brittania slid Jin Kyoshi into his bigger cave. It was still cold at night but it was large enough for him for when he grew a little. He curled around himself cutely and half opened his eyes. “Brittania… you’re gunna stay here, kay?”
“I live here,” said Brittania.
“No you’re gunna stay here wiv me… Coz I love you, Brittania. I’m gunna marry you when I grow up.” He said in his sleepy stupor.
Brittania froze. “You are a foolish brat” She turned and fled into the tunnel system (through her own cave- Jin’s was not yet big enough for her to be in).
Jin was too drained to wake himself up, even though he knew with cold certainty that he had done something very wrong.
Brittania ran until she found the last, smallest cave where she hunkered down and put her face in her claws. “What have I done?” she said- wanting to howl it to the heavens- but sound travels in the caves so a whisper would have to do. “I can’t let him ruin himself… pining for me…” It sparked a little flicker inside her that she could still be attractive to a male. “Yeah! A child!” The spark doused itself. “Oh what am I going to do?” she wanted to weep but would not allow herself.
“He thinks the world of me… but… how can I stop?” she asked herself.
“Bring his world crashing down,” she hissed.
“That would hurt him.”
“No more than he deserves- have you forgotten he spawned from him?”
“He couldn’t help it.”
“That’s not what he used to think. Come on- he doesn’t like me. He likes the you side of you. The nice side. Let me run for a while, just a little. Give me control. Give IN TO THE RAGE!”
Brittania closed her eyes. “Rage, I can’t do this anymore.”
“It’s the only way out,” said Rage.
“I… I know you’re right… but it’s wrong,” she said softly.
“Wrong for him… or for you?” This was the kindest thing Rage had ever said.
“You’re right,” said Brittania, looking up as though she could see her inner rage. “I have to do something… so he gets away from me… Okay…”
Rage took over and Brittania smiled cruelly.

RP LOG TEN
Arisa entered the small little cafe and looked around at its occupants. She skipped over to a little table and looked at the menu, waiting for the waitress to take her order.
Jin looked at the new flutter girl at her table. He floated out and sat across from her. "A pretty girlie like you shouldn’t sit alone," he said cutely.
Arisa looked up with blue eyes and blinked a couple of times. She looked at the flutter in front of her and tilted her head to the side. "Well, now that you're sitting with me, I'm not alone, am I?" She looked down at the menu again, still trying to choose between a chocolate sundae or a banana split.
Jin nodded. "That's true," he cocked his head and grinned. "How is life now? With other flutters?"
Arisa looked up and smiled at him. "I guess it's okay. But I decided to go on an adventure. It's too boring there, you know? I'm not going to be around forever." The waitress came over and took Arisa's menu from her. Arisa ordered a banana split and after she'd flashes the waitress an award winning smile, turned back to Jin. "How's life for you?"
The waitress turned to Jin. "Well... I've heard the thickshakes are nice here... Can I have the chocolate and strawberry mixed?" The waitress giggled and left. Jin shrugged. "Home is... tiring. I haven't moved in with Brittania yet but I will soon. Where are you living now? With Elka?"
Arisa's wings twitched a little and she looked at Jin, carefully. "I'm not really living with anyone. I'm kind of wandering.. I've been kind of following a Pegasus.. It's really fun! She tries to lose me, but I always find her." A little giggle escaped her mouth and her eyes sparkled a little.
Jin grinned. "Well it's always fun to chase ponies. You could come over whenever you like. We have eight babies to play with. Thanks," he said to the waitress who brought his thickshake.
Arisa shot the waitress a smile as she received her banana split. "Thanks." She turned back to Jin, her eyes widening a little in suprise. "Eight babies!? That's so many..." She swayed a little, thinking of all the possible games and tricks she could play. And, of course, the adventures she could have.
"Well Emma, Epivan and Suke grew lately... so there were something like eleven..." said Jin thoughtfully between drags on his milkshake. "Aaaagh!" he cried, knocking the straw from his mouth and holding his temples.
Arisa was still a little wide-eyed at the thought of so many babies in one group. She took a spoonful of her banana split and enjoyed the taste of banana and ice cream. She looked at Jin and his brain freeze and laugh a little, inhaling banana and choking. She hit her chest and swallowed the piece. "Karma..."
Jin sobbed dryly. "Owch... brainfreeze... owch... Hey what's Karma?" he asked sweetly, his brainfreeze forgotten. He drank some more thickshake and nearly inhaled the straw.
Arisa shrugged and laughed a little. "Karma is.. Well. When you do something good, something good will happen to you. And if you do something bad, something bad will happen to you." She took another spoonful of her banana split and smiled at Jin.
Jin blinked. "I don't like that. Karma shouldn't do that. If I ever see Karma I shall give it a piece of my mind. It wasn't nice to choke you. Anyways, Mixy, how do you like it out of the cave?" asked Jin pleasantly, sipping cautiously.
Arisa laughed at Jin's antics, her eyes watering slightly. "I like it. It's a lot brighter." She took the last scoop of her banana split and pushed the bowl into the middle of the table, watching Jin carefully.
Jin nodded. "It is that. I like caves though. They're all dark and creepy and scary and no-one can find you. I live in a cave now. Away from almost everyone. Just because it's cool. I'll show you my cave if you like."
Arisa smiled softly at Jin. 'I'd like that very much. Maybe we'll find something amazing. Our own little adventure!' She laughed lightly, her smile growing larger at the thought of it all.
"Okay!" cried Jin. He spilt a few coins on the table and, without waiting for Arisa to pay for her split, (he had paid extra for hers anyway) grabbed her and marched out the door. "Upwards then!" he said happily and his wings opened like leathery sails. "Follow then." He took off.
Arisa almost stumbled over her feet as Jin dragged her out of the cafe. She watched as he took off and her wings twitched a little. She flapped them once. Twice. And then took off after him. She caught up and did a summersault in the air. "There's nothing like flying!" She closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of the wind in her mane.
"I like caves, also, though," shouted in to her over the wind. "Down here!" He spiralled down to a mass of crags. He landed with a thump on a pre-scattered bed of sand and shook himself off before vacating the landing strip for his guest. "This was a home to something else before it was mine so we have to pay respect- we're visitors here." He touched his nose to the cave wall, as if to ring a doorbell or meet someone with whom one was not quite acquainted. "Inside, then," he said and he entered the dreary cave.
Arisa touched down with a little more grace than Jin and followed him to the cave's entrance. She watched him press his nose to the cave wall and then enter. She stepped to the wall, her head tilted to the side as she examined it. She pressed her nose to it and almost shivered at the coolness of it. She followed him into the cave, stepping near him so she would not get lost or left behind. "Don't you get scared in here..?"
"Nope," said Jin. "Dragons are as at home underground as we are in the sky. Brittania says that in the olden days we would hatch from our eggs underground and not see sunlight until we were teens! I don't know how that would feel, but Brittania said it was fine. Brittania is so cool, I can't wait for you to meet her. You will one time; this cave links up with hers in places." While he spoke, Jin wove through the passages. "In here's my shiny rock room. Wanna see?" he asked, pointing to a deep darkness. "You should follow my voice carefully, because Brittania doesn't allow any lights before this point; the light is in here. You're not lost are you, Mixy?"
Arisa smiled at Jin talking about Brittania. It was obvious he really cared for her, like she was his sister. "I'd love to see your shiny rock room. I don't think I'm lost. I can still hear you." Arisa moved closer to Jin, sticking to him like glue so she wouldn't get lost. "There aren't any monsters in here, right?" She whimpered softly. She was scared of the dark. And she was even more scared if she didn't know what was in it.
"The only monsters in here are me and Brittania," said Jin happily. He turned a knob and light shone down into three score globes of stones carved into bowls from the ceiling. "Here's the rocks. I like them." There were carved rocks and shiny rocks and coloured rocks all scattered around with little indents where in had obviously slept.

RP LOG ELEVEN
Brittania gazed over the fields as they rippled underneath her. "That idiot demon," she hissed, noticing Zanobi behind her. She landed and he did also. "What do you want?" She asked irritably.
"What have you done with Jin?"
"Nothing. If you want him back you can have him."
Seto rose from under a hill, puffing slightly. "That's not good enough, Brittania."
"Ugh! Won't you all just get a freaking life" she howled.
Seto growled. "You listen here-"
Brittania glared and rose into the air again, flying far enough that she could see the water in the distance.
"I'm not going after her," said Zanobi. "She's livid."
"Fine," snapped Seto. "We'll walk."
Seto saw the pretty shell bounce around. "Eerinna might like that," he said quietly. "Zanobi, go and get that."
"I'm not your servant," hissed Zanobi.
"No, but I can't get it myself," growled Seto. And so an argument ensued.
"I'M NOT CHASING AFTER SOME STUPID SHELL!"
"YES YOU ARE BECAUSE I SAID SO!"
"YOU CHASE AFTER IT!"
"YOU!"
(Natalia) ”I‘m me again!” the merpony gasped and looked at the earth ponys gathered on the shore. “Oh, you must be land dwellers. Please, you must help me! My name is Natalia, I’m one of the merponys who live in the waters surrounding these lands...at least we lived peacefully there until recently. My people were captured by the Bone Sea Sorceress. She turned us into shells and we were scattered across the land. I was lucky enough to make it here but the others must be found and restored to their true forms as well. I can‘t get to them,” she indicated to her tail which kept her from traveling on land. “But you can. Please, the merponys must be rescued! Are there any among you who would help us?”
Brittania, who hadn't actually flown that far at all, heard the mer pony. "Hmmm," said Brittania. "Maybe this is just what Rage needs... Where is this... Bone Sea Sorceress?"
"Oh..." Said Seto, stopping short (he'd resorted to trying to catch the shell by himself). "Okay," he said.
"Okay? What are you, daft?" asked Zanobi.
"Maybe if we do something good, Jin will come back."
"Wuss," said Zanobi, but it was a good idea so he privately agreed.
(morticia) A dark merpony appears at the edge of the water. She looks scary as she smiles a cruel smile. “Hello, would-be heroes,” she smirks. “I understand that you seek some shells I lost. Trying to help the little merponys? Why? What have they ever done for you? Instead, why don’t you find the shells for me? I promise you will be paid handsomely for your efforts… ”
Brittania cocked her head. No she wouldn't be paid off. She looked at the water. She was half water dragon was she not? She slipped in and waited for the witch to stop talking to everyone else.
Seto scoffed. "I don't need any more money."
Zonobi rolled his eyes. "You don't get anything, do you?" he asked Seto.
"Why are these pretty trinkets so important to you?" asked Brittania- to herself or the witch, she wasn't certain. "That is all I ask in return for my services..."
(Morticia) The dark merpony eyed the few that had stepped forward, “Find the shells and bring them to me and you shall receive your just rewards. As for the rest of you…” she turned a cold gaze on the others. ”You are Fools!” the sorceress hissed slipping back into the water. “And you will pay dearly for crossing me…” (prompt) However, you’re noticing that the blue skies have suddenly turned to black and the shadows, they’re looking strange. Suddenly you hear a loud ROAR from the waters. You turn and see an enormous creature of darkness rising from where the witch disappeared. The leviathan, a sea monster of swirling shadows and smoke, looks down at you and it doesn’t look friendly…
Brittania glared. "Nothing." She rose from the water and shook out her mane. I may not have gotten what I wanted... but if I get what she wants, then she'll have to tell me thought Brittania. She grinned and then saw the leviathan. "Poor little cupcakes, the leviathan cannot harm a creature of air." She cackled and rose into the sky.
Seto followed her with his eyes. "I think she's acting strangely."
"You think?" said Zanobi. "Priorities, man. you're about to be eaten by a squid thing!"
Seto looked at Zanobi darkly. "And you care... so much. We're not running if that's what you want. We'll stand our ground."
"You... Are an idiot," said Zanobi, sighing.
"You suck, Kaiba," hissed Zanobi as he flew into the vortex to try and wreak some havoc.
Seto, left on land, found some bamboo and shredded it- using them like darts.
(miss)
"Damn it!" swore Zanobi from iside the vortex. "The bugger it me!"
"It bit you? and you're complaining? Grow a bunch, why don't you?" hissed Seto, reaching for more bamboo.
(hit)
Seto heard a satisfying scream from the monster. "Aim is perfect, as usual." He threw some more bamboo darts.
Zanobi grinned inside the vortex after hearing the monster scream. "Aim is perfect, as usual," he said and he launched into another round of kicks.
(miss)
(prompt) While some of your attacks are successful they only seem to make the monster angrier!
Now would be the time for a tactical retreat, but do you run back down to the beach or up to the cliffs?
Seto groaned. "Okay... Zanobi- if you're alive... or as alive as you can be," he called, "meet me at the cliffs"
Zanobi heard and scowled. "Al'right you big chicken!" He mumbled as he flew out; "I was winning too..."
(prompt) Your choice is made for you when the monster cuts off your escape to the beach. You quickly scramble up, climbing in to the cliffs that rise above the sea. The shadowy monster follows, taking swipes at any ponys that aren’t fast enough!
Suddenly you find yourself at the edge of the cliff, trapped between the sheer drop to the rocks and churning waters below and the leviathan. The monster thinks he’s won. You have one more chance to get out of this mess in on piece, but do you wait for him to make the first move or spring forward and attack the monster!
Seto sighed. "I've never longed for a helicopter more... Okay- fighting it doesn't work- we'll have to wait for it to make a mistake."
"Oh you're a real freaking rocket scientist!" hissed Zanobi.
Seto turned to Zanobi. "Actually, I am."
(prompt) Your attacks haven’t done much so far, so this time you wait. The monster leaps forward and at the last second you leap out of the way!
Seto paused just before the beast attacked. "I have ominous feeling..." he said softly
"What?" spat Zanobi. "Oh! Jump!" he cried.
(miss)
Zanobi dragged Seto back up. "You are such a clutz!"
"You cared enough to help me up," said Seto.
"Yeah- coz your corpse is too heavy to drag back to your children!"
"Humph," said Seto and he regained his feet. "You aren't a very good liar."
"Whats that supposed to mean?"
(prompt)
The monster lunges past the ponys and falls over the edge of the cliff onto the rocks below where it seems to melt away into the water…
Whew, that was a close one!
Now that the monster is gone it seems as if the skies are turning a little bit brighter. And from the heights of the cliff you can see the Lake of Sparkles where the Lake Spirit dwells!
Well, what are you waiting for? You have some merponys to save!
You all rush to the lake, but once you arrive you’re faced with another problem, how do you get the Lake Spirit’s attention? Do you call out to her “Oh Mighty Spirit of the Lake…” or do you throw in an “offering“?
Seto grabs Yuna before she can fall. "Are you okay?" he asked.
"Come off it, Romeo, they're at the lake already!" growled Zanobi.
Seto creased his brow when they got there. "Oh spirit-"
Zanobi rolled his eyes and pushed Seto into the lake. "How's this for an offering? Hey Kaiba, every time you try and help someone, you usually end up all wet!"
Seto foundered in the water. "When I" *blurble* "Get you!" *blurble*
(prompt) Surprising as it may seem, throwing in an offering seems to have gotten the Lake Spirit’s attention…maybe not in a good way…
“Who disturbs my waters?” a booming voice demands as the spirit rises from the lake. “Oh,” she remarked frowning at the ponies. “It’s you again. What do you want this time?”
Seto coughed and sputtered. "I want to get out of this lake!"
Zanobi rolled his eyes. "If you can catch my hoof, I'll let you out."
"No chance!"
"Sure?"
"Yes!"
"Sure you're sure?"
"SHUT UP ZANOBI!"
(prompt) “Ah, I see,” she smiled. “You seek the merponys. But I wonder if any of you are fit to aid them. Do you know anything about the creatures of the sea? We’ll soon find out. Answer my questions to prove your worth and perhaps I’ll help you find the little, lost shells.
Seto dragged himself out of the lake with no help. "Humph. Questions. Fine. I'll answer them." He wrung water out of his mane.
"That was not so hard," said Seto, checking his nails.
"You actually knew those answer?" asked Zanobi in astonishment.
"I have daughters."
"Oh."
(prompt) Shell ect >.<
Seto blinked as the white shell was chucked at them. He looked at Zanobi. "It's not purple; Eerinna won't like it."
"Don't look at me. Isn't there supposed to be a pony inside or something?"
"Of course there isn't. It's just a shell."
"Then you won't mind if I take it?" asked Brittania- swooping down without waiting for an answer and taking the shell. "Ugh... it really is rather drab, isn't it?" she muttered to herself. Not in her taste at all. She flew away towards the sea- or so everyone guessed.
"Oh wait," mumbled Zanobi, rolling his eyes. "Stop, please we," his voice lowered to a whisper, "need that..."
Seto rolled his eyes. "You want to get it?"
"No, why bother, it's just a drab little shell."
"Well I think if we let her have it that makes us bad guys."
"Oh for the love of-"
"Yeah that means we're going after it."
Seto and Zanobi had thought about a plan in a half hearted way which was actually no half at all. It was just a seashell after all? Let the girl have it.
(prompt)
Morticia is desperately trying to heal herself, but the ponies she trapped seem to be getting farther and farther way from her hands. Some unknown land creatures seem to be helping them out. Curse them! She still had three shells she could get to, but she didn’t have enough power to get them from the land. She sensed evil amidst the large mass of ponies on the land. Perhaps she could use this to her advantage…
“Hello my darlings. I’m certain you know of me by now. I fear I am in need of your assistance. Aid me and I can give you anything you want…”
Brittania looked at the shell in her claws and turned towards teh voice. "Hmmm."
Brittania cocked her head. "This evil sorceress hasn't told me why I'm doing this!” she muttered angrily. "Until she does, This shell stays with me!" (prompt)
“Now my pretties! I need you to go after the shells! I shall reveal their locations to you! She reveals scenery to the evil ponies, showing a place high up in the mountains where the air is thin and it looks as though no pony has been.
The evil ponies dart off and the good ponies follow them. Does your good pony follow their trail to mountains in Dream Valley or the mountains where the old dragon lairs were?
Seto stood up finally. "Okay, she's probably gone back to the dragon lairs to hide the shell. We'll go that way."
Zanobi sighed. "Yadda yadda yadda."
(prompt)
If your ponies chose to go to the mountains where the old dragon lairs are at you get one point. +1
It’s a really long way to go to those mountains. You have three options: 1. Do your ponies head out immediately while the trail is hot or do they rest and then go? 2. Do you your ponies head out immediately, but take a short break at the lake of sparkles? 3. Do your ponies continuously work to reach the mountain, never pausing at all?
(Pick a number between 1 and 3, your number corresponds to what your ponies do. 1: 0pts, 2: 1pt, 3: 2pts.) +2
"It's a really long way to the dragon caves," said Zanobi snidely.
"So?" asked Seto.
"Just thinking your little legs might get tired..." Said Zanobi in a baby voice.
"Fine, if you're so worried, we'll rest at the lake of sparkles, you wuss."
Zanobi grumbled and went out to scout ahead.
(prompt)
If you stopped at the lake, you woke the lake spirit from her rest. She was a bit annoyed at you, but after some quick talking, you’ve gotten her calmed down. She decides she likes you and gives you a magical horseshoe and tells you it can only be used once.
Your good ponies, after much physical exhaustion, have decided to rest the night at the bottom of the mountain. Some are restless and wish to move on with the task at hand. If you have a horseshoe, do you use it?
Seto leaned down and bunkered up for sleep. He hoped his feeling of forboding was just because Zanobi was over there, watching him freakily. But he couldn't help feeling like a wad of stress was overtaking him. The horseshoe weighed heavily in his pocket.
Zanobi glared at Kaiba. That puny mortal- why did he get to keep the horseshoe? What does it do, anyway?
(prompt) The sun has risen and its time to move onward. You climb the mountain. The cold is all encompassing and it’s a tough climb, but you keep moving. After much exhaustion, the ponies with horseshoes wonder if this is the time to use the shoes. Do they put on the horseshoe now?
Seto had dreamer and he thought he knew what the horeshoe would do. It woudl be easy to put it on, but he knew that there were worse times ahead. Getting there is only half the journey- we still have to come back, He thought. "Keep up, Zanobi!"
"I'll keep up Zanobi, you," growled Zanobi, forced to walk under the wind currents that earthed him.
(prompt) If yes, you automatically get +2 points for leaping to the top. This gives you a head start on searching for the evil ponies running around. Bummer guys...
Finally, everyone gets to the top and you find the evil ponies with shells in their hands. Do you fight them and win?
Seto blinked. "Oh, come on, this is nuts."
Zanobi glared. "I am so full of you! I'm going to beat someone up!"
Seto cocked his head in mock concern. "Why? That time of the month?"
Seto blinked as Paluure came to his rescue. "Thanks, I guess, but I don't need any help." He attempted a roundhouse kick.
(miss) Zanobi cackled as the roundhouse kick misses and he swoops down to attack.
(miss)
Seto grinned as the flying attack misses. He tried one last time for a roundhouse kick.
Zanobi grumbled as the flying attack missed. He tried one last time to claw someone’s eye out.
(hit)
"Yes!" cried Zanobi. "I got a hit!"
"Yes!," cried Seto. "I got a hit! Wait a second, it was my roundhouse kick!"
"You idiot- It was my attack that landed!"
Zanobi and Seto were hit- the smalls of their backs, paralysing them temporarily from, the hips down after two massive blows from Nemesis. "This is all your fault, Kaiba-boy," spat Zanobi.
"No, It's your fault," growled Seto.
Seto braced himself on Zanobi's head and pushed himself up- trying to get his rear legs back in action.
"Watch where you're groping, Kaiba," snarled Zanobi.
"You'd like it if I were groping, wouldn't you," growled Seto and he finally regained his feet. "Come on," he said sparsely, offeing Zanobi his hoof without looking."
"I'd rather rot here!" spat Zanobi.
Seto shrugged then bent down and heaved Zanobi up wether he liked it or not. "You're welcome, ingrate."

RP LOG TWELVE
Brittania looked at the ugly little shell. She hadn’t been able to find that horrible merpony Morticia. She sighed and decided to just drop it somewhere. The ‘somewhere’ she had dropped it was in the vicinity of Hasu’s herd and she was glad to be rid of it. She flew onwards towards home and sank down iside her cave. The reconstruction had finished and now she was just adding details- a gargoyle here- a trap there- fresco on the left.
“Where’d you go?” asked Jin in a small voice. Brittania twisted around to look at him. He had grown since the time she had stopped speaking to him. He was a gorgeous adolescent and his voice was breaking.
Brittania grinned. “I went out to help a dangerous and evil merpony trap innocent ponies into shells to steal their powers.”
Jin blinked- he was happy she was speaking to him but… “You’re joking, right?”
Brittania snorted. “Do I joke, boy?”
Jin frowned. “No… So you really did… that?”
Was it really worth it? Seeing the hurt in his eyes? “Yes.”
“Why?”
“Do I need a reason?” she asked bitterly. “I just decided to fly down- and Zanobi and Kaiba- oh you don’t like that do you?” she chuckled at the disgust on Jin’s face. Then an idea bloomed. “Well, he could tell you what went on,” she said blithely. “Kaiba, I mean. He helped me with the trapping. He has a good head on his shoulders.”
Jin couldn’t contain his shock and horror. “You… you…” He stopped, and looked at her dead in the eye. “You do need a reason, Brittania. You always do. When you can tell me why you did it, I’ll believe you.” He took a step. Then a few more until he was directly in front of her. Brittania’s head rose up. “Brittania…” he breathed slowly. He reached for her-
Brittania stood and lurched away. Jin’s face crumpled. “Grow up,” she spat. She stomped outside, the idea in her mind growing even more horrible the longer it existed.
Jin squeezed his eyes closed, trying not to lose it. “Why won’t you let me…” He turned away and walked blindly through the caves. Love you?

RP LOG THIRTEEN
Seto Kaiba sat with his laptop in the dark. He worked on some algorithms, then realised he’d already done them. He sighed. He was not used to feeling lonely but he had gotten used to having a kiss await him at the end of a long day, someone to prattle on about their own (less important) day while he settled down for sleep. Someone to make him a nice coffee in the morning. He missed that. She’d been good to him. He’d gotten soft.
Before he realised it, he’d been sitting at his computer not doing anything for fifteen minutes. He sighed and shut it down- that was a mistake. He had a picture of Kala and his kids as a background for his icons and it showed as the computer shut off. Seto scowled at how childish it was and shut the laptop and pushed it away. He was momentarily distracted by the sound and wind vibrations of beating wings. He looked up. “Brittania, what are you doing in the herd’s grounds?”
Brittania- for it was she- curled her wings in, showing Kaiba her good side, and sat down with her tail wrapped around here. “I’m part of the Matchstick Herd too.”
Seto snorted. “’Matchstick Herd- whoever started such a ridiculous name?”
“I don’t know,” said Brittania softly. “You look sad, Kaiba. Why?”
Kaiba’s gaze hardened, “I do not look sad.”
Brittania smiled. “If that’s what you want me to think, I’ll think it.”
Seto looked at her a moment longer and turned away. “What do you want?”
Brittania lowered her gaze, remembering that she was not supposed to be above him… for now. “I suppose… I got lonely.”
Seto’s eyes wandered. What? Isn’t that- no, can’t be. Coincidence. “You have Jin Kyoshi up there.”
Brittania’s head shifted forlornly and her mane slowly, then with speed, fell into her eyes. “He won’t talk to me.” She looked up- quickly meeting his gaze and then dropping it.
Before he could lose interest and counter with a snide comment, she continued; “He won’t forgive me for the event.”
“It was your choice to help the wrong side,” said Seto, but not as nastily as he could have. He felt… pity? No- why would Seto Kaiba feel pity! No! It’s not! Maybe it’s… comradeship? She’s lonely too.
Brittania stood in one fluid motion and converged on Seto before he could do more than flinch away. She lowered her head to be close to his and met his blue gaze with hers in a show of timidity. “Don’t you know?” she whispered. “Don’t you know why I did it?” Seto couldn’t speak for a moment- the shock of being so close to- and breathing her scent- no! “I wanted to be… near you… Se..to…” She said, lowering her eyes as she said his name hesitantly. She felt a black illness bubbling inside her. She was lying. She hated him- she hated Seto Kaiba! Kill him! Kill him!
“You’re lying.”
Brittania gasped and met his eyes again- and again she pulled away, taking a few steps backward and dropping to her knees. “No.” She breathed. “No- why would I lie? You- you hate me anyway,” she dropped her head. “You hate me like everyone else does. But I want you- I want you to know,” she approached him again and seized his hoof, holding it near enough to her cheek to feel the warmth. “That I don’t hate you. I have… always admired you-”
Seto wrenched his hoof back. “Yes, you like me so much because I broke your wing.”
Brittania let out a (theatrical) dry sob. “You know I’m attracted to power- it is my flaw- but isn’t that good? I mean for you? You are stronger than I am. You deserve my,” she paused, trying to think of the word she meant. “Devotion.”
It is hard. Very hard. For a lonely man to turn down a woman who radiates strength and youth and beauty who happens to be throwing herself at him. And be he anything else, Seto Kaiba was still a man. He felt a hot seed of desire enter his blood. He closed his eyes to try and block it out.
Brittania’s lip curled when she saw him fight her. b*****d! She twisted around and grabbed his face between her hooves and kissed him. His eyes flicked open and he tried- unsuccessfully- to force her off- before he just… gave in. He relaxed and tentatively held her in his arms. Brittania grinned. Finally!
The need saturated his blood- the need for closeness. For a warm body against his own, to be needed by someone. To be selfish and take when it was also a gift.
Brittania felt ill. She wanted to purge herself- but she wasn’t clean. She hadn’t been clean for a long time. This was just a new stain. She let herself go with it. She thought of why she was doing it- for Jin- no! The thought sickened her. When he found out what she’d done… she gasped in horror- but Seto did not notice. She didn’t want this- no she didn’t- but it was too late…

RP LOG FOURTEEN
Seto winced as he shrugged on his jacket. Three red lines had already bled through his shirt to make a darker shade of black. Brittania was free with her claws. Wrong, wrong. It felt so wrong. His mouth worked as he tried to form his thoughts. He realised that any forming couldn’t be done now. He retrieved his laptop and walked out, his left flank was painfully stiff and needed working out,
Brittania kept her eyes closed in a mockery of sleep until Kaiba had left. She sat up and pulled herself in- making a smaller target. She wanted to cry, to scream but she knew she couldn’t. She was worthless and the only person who saw worth in her-something she hadn’t seen in a long time- now would never see it again. She felt dirty- his touch still burned her skin. Her flesh crawled. She couldn’t help re-living it. She hated it because… on some level she had enjoyed it.
She fell back, then flinched as she felt something hard. “A… pendant?” she said. She snapped open the necklace pendant with the front of a card. “Oh.” Inside was a torn picture of Mokuba. She hadn’t actually thought that this might hurt Kaiba. Not that she cared. At all. No. She pulled the pendant over her head. She’d need this to prove it to Jin… Poor Jin.
She looked at her golden nails. They were crusted with dried blood. She licked them clean. Then she fixed her hair. So undignified. She rose to her feet and tried not to gag as a waft of scent reached her nose- Kaiba’s scent. No time for a bath.
She took off- relishing for a simple moment the feeling of the wind before the memory struck her again and she sobbed dryly- this time a real one. She collapsed onto the ledge outside her cave and went inside. Again, she didn’t notice Jin Kyoshi.
His eyes were red with tiredness. He’d waited up for Brittania. “Brittania- where have you been?” he asked.
“I don’t have to explain myself to you.” She knew it had to be done- it had to- it must be done. He had to know. He had to find out. But the will deserted her.
“At least you’re back now,” said Jin brightly. “Are you okay?”
“Ah…”
Jin blinked slowly and edged over to her. “Are you okay, Brittania?”
Brittania swallowed and remembered she was wearing Kaiba’s locket- it burned her neck where it lay. She turned away, to hide it. She couldn’t do it to him. Not to Jin. It was too harsh. She was sorry. She didn’t want to have done it. She’d have to find another way. Let’s just forget it…
Jin wrinkled his nose. “Brittania are you really okay? What’s that smell?”
As soon as I wash his scent off… “I’m fine, leave it alone, leave me alone,” she said unhappily.
Jin’s mouth worked in concern. “O… okay Brittania. If you need me… even, even if you don’t… I’m- just over there,” he said, pointing to the cave entrance. “Right?” he asked, turning away from her with one eye still glued to her green form. “Kay?”
“Just go!”
“Gone! I’m gone,” said Jin hopping and flapping away.
Brittania ripped off the loop and flung it into a corner and curled up. Then she thought better of it. She retrieved it and took it deep into the cave system. She hid it in the deepest, darkest cavern and laid it in a cranny. This was also the place where she had talked to Rage. She talked to Rage again.
“This was a stupid thing to do!”
“Well, was a good idea at the time- you just chickened out.”
“Well I thought better of it! Your thoughts are stupid! I don’t want this anymore!”
“Fine.” Rage sounded like it shrugged. “Don’t call me next time you ******** up your life.”
“No reason to use bad language, Rage! Rage?” Rage was gone and all that was left was Brittania. With Brittania’s problems.
